It looked and sounded great online, but the stay itself was disappointing. The rooms didn’t look like they had been updated in a while, as it was slightly rundown. However, the exterior of the property looked well kept and up to date. Our fridge in the room was broken, and seemed as it had been for a while. The website also said (not that it was a huge issue for our stay, but still something noticed) there was a complementary breakfast and food in general for guests, but there was none. Overall, this place was ok, especially for a short weekend trip and just needing a place to sleep. But I wouldn’t recommend for a family vacation, as it wasn’t the most comfortable or conditioned place, especially for the money you are paying in such a beautiful area of town.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable. We gave a heads up we were travelling with our infant and needed a clean room - the response to us was “understood.” We checked in after dark and pulling up it looked okay from the outside. Upon opening the door there was a horrible overpowering smell as if they were trying to cover up the staleness. There was mould all over the bathroom shower and ceiling, mould in the curtains above the air conditioner. I feared our health and left the exchanger off. The carpet was cut and tore away from the wall, and it gave “there was a body here but we replaces a section of carpet” vibes. Spiders in the corners, and the door deadbolt system had me putting chairs and luggage up against the door knob. I’m not sure why the handle was covered in seran wrap but immediately thought of crimes and preventing fingerprints. A 20$ toilet seat is too much of an upgrade. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. The sketchy panting on the wall looked like it was covering a secret hole. We snuggled our infant with one eye open, as it was late and no where to go and we RAN at 5am out of there. the couple at the desk didnt speak good English, but did give our refund for the second night we had booked thankfully. I wouldnt stay again, even if it was free. Great location - but gut and renovate!

Terrible decision to stay here. The room was dirty, service was nonexistent

This property is well-positioned for activities in Brunswick with a car. The rooms are a bit run-down in appearance, and did not include a readily usable hair dryer, although one was provided at the desk. It is nonsmoking, but it would be good to forbid smoking within 20 ft of the building.

No housekeeping, only removed trash and added soap. No clean towels or bed made. The carpet was filthy - it had not been vacuumed prior to checking in. The room was damp and had a mildew smell.

Very easy to get to from Rt 1. There was a hornet's nest on the door of our room, we were moved immediately and saw that it was taken care of first thing in the morning. The room had everything we needed and we will definitely go back. The owners are very attentive and helpful!

The bath did not hold the water. The carpet was sticky. The room door did not lock. Never again

Bed was comfortable, repairs in progress on walls and bathroom. Location set away from ‘noise’. Towels were ‘thin’ and small. Overall it was an acceptable place to stay.

We had a good night's sleep. The room was very basic and somewhat under remodeling conditions. It was very convenient for some Maine places we wanted to visit.

Nice for an independent operation. It was reasonably quiet and reasonably clean. I would visit again.

This place is a pretty good place overall, but the bed was so incredibly uncomfortable that I wouldn't want to stay here again.

Overpriced! They offer breakfast but when you ask for they tell you they don’t have breakfast but that you have a coffee maker in the room. I would consider others options, before comeback here

The Moonlight Inn has been a "go to" for us for a while, but perhaps not any more. Our room was clean and comfortable but it was very shabby -- lots of unfinished work from what we presume was renovation, a big stain on the carpet, and so on. Maybe not worth the money any more.

Nice sized room. Easy check in. Other than the condition of the carpet, very clean room and recenntly refreshed.

This is a remote location. It’s a great for one day stay on the way to Acadia park. Just don’t expect too much. Keep in mind this is a pull over one night stay. The property is run by a mom and pop. The place has fridge and microwave for convenience.

Room wasn’t bad but the carpet was mismatched and patched together and although everything was clean it was all just kind of unkept. I will say it was quiet and well stocked. Otto’s pizza delivered quickly and was the best part of the stay there.

The pictures trick you by looking really nice. But one you walk into looking run down room and for some reason the whole room is very moist. the bathroom curtains have mold and rust on the heating registers. I'm mostly just disappointed the pictures are so deceiving.

Don't bother. The place is in terrible condition, and our room wreaked of some sort of overpowering coverup-perfume deodorizer. When we arrived, our key-card didn't work. When I went to checkout at 10:30 AM—you must checkout by 11:00 AM—the office door was locked. Apparently, the desk personnel must live there because a father-daughter team emerged from nearby, having taken notice of me at the office door. Finally, when I handed him my key-card and announced my final departure he was confused. Oh, brother, you'd be better off pitching a tent.

Disappointed with the dirty carpet full of stains. The box spring was encased in a white sheet that was brown with dirt and stains.

It was a good place to stay, especially since the price was low. I think its good value for the cost.

Old and run down. Could feel every spring in the bed. Bathroom had a solvent turpentine smell that gave me a head ache. Arrived at 8pm internet down before 9.

Location was convenient. Property was run down and furnishings were below standard. Mattress needs replacement. Cleaning agent had undesirable chemical smell and needed to replaced. Bathroom vanity was useless for personal items. Would not recommend this property.

Too many cigarettes butts everywhere. Too many men around made me uncomfortable but they were not bothered us. They look like they have lived there for a long time. Their belongings are sitting outside by the door.

The property is older, but clean, quiet, easy parking, comfortable bed and everything you need in the room. The staff was always available and very helpful. The room was good value for the money. We were in the area for a wedding and it was the perfect location for us.

This place was dirty, the satellite tv kept cutting out, no food or breakfast options. Would not go back there!

It was very comfortable and quiet,
The room smelled a bit musty but once the ac was on it helped.
I would stay again, affordable compared to most other places.
