This hotel is getting old and used,
The service is ok (our room phone didn't work, so when I called the front desk from my own, then they were more concerned about selling me breakfast than fixing my phone).
The food was as expected when no other restaurants needed it. Go downtown, then have some great places

An excellent hotel but we paid for our room twice, first via Expedia when booking and then again at the hotel when checking out. We are trying to get a refund.

Superb location, newly refurbished public areas and exterior, welcoming and well trained staff. Excellent food with choice of dining options. Comfortable bedrooms, superb breakfast buffet. Our 5th visit, will return again!!

Our fourth visit to this hotel and it never disappoints. Lovely room with excellent walk-in shower. Great views and a wonderful setting. Staff friendly and helpful, but bar service was very slow as it was very busy. Choice of restaurants with excellent food, but the chef should refrain from offering a meat based jus with fish. Superb breakfast, if a bit expensive. Will definitely return.

Lovely hotel outside Vannes (50 min walk away). Lovely little beach outside hotel for swimming (a bit cold maybe but beautiful). Hotel staff lovely, restaurant great, bar very nice, but closing bar at 11pm on a Saturday night seems unfriendly!

Very nice place, beautiful view on the sea shore, great and friendly staff

Really nice hotel, albeit a drive away from Vannes centre. Nice rooms and communal areas. Unbeatable at the price.

Lovely hotel in great location. Staff not so good. Watch for the extras on your bill, check it thoroughly. There is a kettle in the bedroom, I asked at reception if they had any caffeine free tea bags and they gave me 2 camomile - and charged me 3.50 euros each for them, I asked for a little fresh milk in a jug for the room, that was 3.50 euros too and the small bottle of water in the room - that was also 3.50 euros. Went down for dinner, thought we would have a drink in the bar first, had to wait nearly 15 minutes for staff to appear though other staff saw us waiting there. Barman had no idea what Gin was although the bottle was on the shelf and it was listed in the drinks menu. Just found the atmosphere was as if everything was too much trouble. Shame as we have stayed before and loved this hotel and the food in the restaurant is very good.

Superb location on a tiny peninsula overlooking the Gulf of Morbihan, just a few minutes from the historic town centre. Comfortable, well appointed bedroom and good-sized bathroom. Most rooms have a balcony.
Excellent staff, friendly and welcoming.
Choice of main restaurant or bistro cafe, excellent food quality and service. Extensive buffet breakfast. This is my second visit and thoroughly enjoyable. Will certainly wish to return.

What an amazing hotel this is. Fantastic location with stunning views over the water and lovely walks around the area. Totally relaxing. Private car park. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and modern. Lovely restaurant, great staff and super food, they have really excellent chefs here. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so amazing. We are planning our next trip.

Would have been better if the rooms had air conditioning. Also if there had been more variety on the restaurant menu we would have eaten there. Most of the choice was fish which is great if you like fish

The hotel is in a spectacular position and well run, but the menu was limited and did not change the whole time there and there was no air conditioning in the rooms that made some nights very uncomfortable.

A great place to stay on our return trip to Roscoff Ferryport. Wish that we had more time to enjoy the surroundings.A comfortable and bright hotel located on the harbour outside Vannes. We arrive just a bit too late to eat but breakfast was very good. Wifi connection was erratic.
We had time to enjoy a refreshing walk around the harbour in the morning, it's a delightful location but I'm sure it would be very busy in peak season.. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

Great location. Somewhat snooty staff. The place felt corporate and not like a boutique hotel. Did I mention the great location? And central Vannes is lovely too.

The Hotel is just great. Its a little gem within touching distance of Vannes. It has its own little beach which is great, with a lido just around the corner. Staff were fab and the hotel rooms were lovely (we had a quadruple in the roof). The restaurant was really nice with great food selection. Will be back

The hotel does not have air conditioning and both the room and dining room were sweltering at 90+ degrees.

Wonderfull Hotel with amazing view !

Really good. Fantastic location. All clean and friendly and comfortable bed. Armchairs in room not comfortable. Tea/coffee etc not replaced in room. Brasserie restaurant quite poor - overcooked or undercooked and wine spilt ( not our fault) with no recompense. Overall would happily recommend but some reservations.

Setting excellent. Food excellent at breakfast and in the evening at the brasserie. My only criticism is the lack of air conditioning which, on hot nights, can prove uncomfortable.

I am a sailor. I was looking for a hotel which oversaw the harbor and charter boats going out the channel. Le Roof was the best hotel to watch boats and lots of swimmers who enjoyed the park setting. There was a wonderful old restaurant with many boats and historic pictures next door for lunch. Cocktails outside were fine except when smokers took them over. We like the fact that the hotel was non-smoking. Staff was very helpful and met all of our requests. Unlike most tourist places, we were the only Americans for the week we stayed at the hotel. Almost all hotel guests were French. If you love sailboats and a wonderful hotel with a view of them, Le Roof is unmatched.

stopped for 3 nights on way down to the Isle de Re and one night on the way back to Roscoff/Plymouth ferry.

Although only an overnight stay we were welcomed and treated excellently throughout by friendly courteous staff. Our room was better than we had expected with an excellent view across the little beach outside and the boats on the harbour.
We enjoyed a very pleasant brasserie meal out side on the terrace as the sun set across the harbour on an idyllic evening. The service was a bit flusterred as on a busy Saturday evening in July there were obviously stretched, but they all coped well and did not diminish our enjoyment of the meal.
We plan to come again in September.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful hotel overlooking the bay. It is in a lovely setting with efficient helpful staff. It was particularly useful to have the brasserie next door.

Excellent Hotel and location. Well worth the short journey from Vannes centre!!!!! Hotel and room excellent. Staff were professional and efficient but conspicuous in their absence at breakfast when you were left to your own devices to weigh up the self help continental buffet style breakfast. The friendliness and helpfulness was lacking - a minor detail for your information.
