Nice place, close to symphony for my performances.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience I’ve had traveling . The 1st room had a really loud noise coming from the wall and my safe was broken . The second room they put me in. I had no cold water. The rooms are extremely small at this hotel! When they moved me to another room, the gentleman who brought me up the key didn’t help me at with my four pieces of luggage - I wheeled all of it by myself.

It's old and the parking situation is weird. It's right downtown, which is very convenient.

A/C unit is extremely noisy, waking us up during the night. Beds are actually short - I guess to fit the small rooms. Lobby is fine. Fitness center is fine. Parking is expensive so parked in lot across the street.

Parking was a HUGE issue and extremely expensive… had to use a parking lot across the street and pay $25/night! If you own a car, or planning to rent one, stay away from hotels in downtown area, especially Westin. I stayed there during what is considered an Indian Summer, it was around 100 degrees in San Jose. Westin had this heavy and thick comforter on the bed with super lumpy pillows… you can tell these pillows are past their expiration date 😂 the comforter was giving me night sweats!!
Lastly, the day after my first stay, I noticed an almost $1000 hold on my credit card. Just in case I ate myself to death at their restaurant within 3 nights of stay.. I mean, really??
I won’t be returning to this hotel.

King accessible room with roll in shower was fantastic. Room was clean and large, I had so much space for my wheelchair. Roll in shower was perfect. Staff was friendly, We parked in the lot across the street for $26. We were there for a show at the Civic Center, which was across the street. Very fun trip! Everything was perfect.

Enjoyed my stay and look forward to another great visit.

Check in staff were abrupt. Building is beautiful, location was wonderful for our trip. Room was small but had everything we needed. Bed was wonderful. AC didn’t cool the room down.

This hotel is so charming and absolutely gorgeous (and possibly haunted?). It was right across the street from the convention center, close to bus stops, the front desk was lovely, and they cleaned our room every day.

One night stay only, everything was good

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless, the shower was great, and the Italian restaurant was good, which is all you really need for a good stay. But…
I just didn’t like the decor, which was in-keeping with the Hotel’s 100 year history (dark woods and beiges).
Some will find that charming and ‘rustic’ and so love it, but I prefer much more modern decor. Give a room from an Ikea catalogue any day!! ;-)

Sheets were dirty when arriving to room. The air conditioning did not work well at all. They said they would accommodate, but never did. You also have to pay for parking. Hotel needs major updates and at this time they’re relying on the name to draw people in. System errors as well. The only good thing is the the staff were respectful when speaking to them but like i said never accommodated as they said they would.

What you notice first is an absolutely gorgeous lobby. Hard to believe they didn't build a bar in the main lobby area, but the space is pure magic. Il Fornaio (their only restaurant) has become an unfortunate victim of massive franchising, thus not a great restaurant, but good to have in a pinch. Where they struggle is the room size and the noise fact. I don't think I've stayed in a room and bathroom that small since I visited Europe. The rooms are bordering on claustrophobic, and the bathroom more so. Walls are relatively thin and the noise from above and the sides can be distracting if you're looking for a good night sleep. It's a well situated hotel however, and you'll find most of what you need around it.

I like the room that it was clean and it was pretty quiet. We got there around two in the morning and we went straight to sleep. No noise. No nothing until I woke up.

Loved the location! Easy walk to dining, entertainment, and much more!

The front desk people were rude the entire stay. There was no liner in the trash can, the toilet was hard to flush, and the coffee machine was broken in the room. We were walking back to the hotel and a valet was driving CRAZY and almost hit us in the crosswalk. Check out is at 12:00 and I requested the late check out. Front desk stated, “the best we can do is12:30 for you.” The restaurant was super good. The menu was hard to read because the bold menu items were in Italian and the English explanation was tiny. The service was also a little slow. But drinks and food were on point. Parking for the valet was also confusing, it’s literally parking on a corner of the street. Valet was $51/night plus tax

Parking was not available and we were told this upon arrival. We were scrambling to secure public parking and ended up at the conference center. Not far, however, more money and inconvenient. If the Westin would have reach out to me prior, I would understand. Their garage should be reserved for hotel guest only.

We came to San Jose to celebrate a 45th birthday. Our stay at The Westin was fantastic. Once we parked in the garage we didn't need our car. The Westin is conveniently located to everything you need. Restaurants, bars, and museums. The roms were very clean and staff was excellent. Highly recommend this property.

This is a beautiful, historic building in the heart of downtown San Jose. We were told they intend to renovate but we're hoping they won't turn the rooms into the modern, sterile look of so many hotels today. The room was so comfortable, lovely bathroom, and clean. The only complaint was the price of valet parking ($51/night) and an $80 breakfast of 1 omelette with toast, potatoes and polenta, 3 pastries and 2 coffees. Wowza!

Very comfortable beds. Clean and inviting in an excellent location near restaurants and museums and park. One block away from the art walk, a free community event that happens on the first Friday of every month. Ice bucket was missing in the room and the bathrooms are on the small side. Never found any vending machines or anything like that in the hotel. No parking except for valet parking at $51 a night. Parking lot across the street is public and easily accessible but still cost over $20 a night.

Love the hotel. 1 Queen room bedroom was so cozy. Very esthetically pleasing to the eye.

Excellent service and the hotel was near the boarding ramp of the Green Trolley which took us to Levi Stadium. Great restaurants in the area too.

Great blackout blinds. Well situated for downtown.
Incredibly noisy as it is on a major crossroads with motobikes revving their engines and loud car stereos blaring into the wee small hours - and there is only single glazing in the hotel windows!

Well situated in the heart of fisherman’s wharf. Clean hotel, friendly staff.

Love the old interior and authentic vintage decor. Built in 1926 I believe.
