Beautiful property. We originally booked Kalia Tower and were offered an upgrade to the Rainbow Tower but we passed because they are renovating that tower right now. I’m so glad we didn’t stay in that tower-we could hear the construction on the beach! Kalia tower was great! Easy access to the road and two ABC stores very close. Adults only pool was relaxing and not too busy. Views of the sunset from our room! Would stay at this property again!

The rooms pictures were not the room we stayed in, we later had to pay more for a upgrade for a better room.
Lots of building with the Ocean View. Apparently there is a difference between Ocean View and Ocean front View.
These information should be clear for bookings.

Too expensive

Great view of the ocean. Just watch what you book. We booked a room in the Tapa Tower and they wanted to give us a different tower. We paid extra to get a room closer to the ocean and beach. Overall not too bad. A bit pricey for what it looks.

It was so amazing! The hotel and the employees were so welcoming. Everything you need is on the resort. Great food, snacks, drinks, restaurants, pools…

Excellent customer service and clean rooms. The staff was helpful and easy access to beach and places

The staff here was fantastic. The bartender remembered our names on the second day!

If you’d like Stan, any Beverly Hills type atmosphere with more people than you wanna be around more stores that you can’t afford and restaurants that are just OK. This is your place. I do not ever think I will go back to Waikiki again definitely not this hotel. Far too many people, nobody has any respect. One and done for us.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village is an enormous hotel complex. It used to be the premiere vacation location. It is dated and loud. No room service is available. Something that should be noted before booking.

We stayed in the diamond tower.. Only to find out it was infested with flying cockroaches
The pools were dirty and the sound the elevator made had me looking for the stairway. Beautiful landscaping and view from the balcony but I questioned whether the bannister was secure. I did complain and the hotel offered to refund the resort fee although I haven’t received it yet

I would not recommend Hilton Hawaiian village to anyone. We were there in the middle of a strike of employees and it was awful. Service was terrible not many bars open or restaurants. Not much to choose from for anything. Coffee bar was long lines

The Hilton staff were on strike and protesting very loudly with megaphones and drums (35 days and counting). The people who were striking (approx 75) were very polite, respectful, courteous, and apologetic to Hilton’s guests. Despite the constant barrage of chants, i enjoyed my stay and i understood the cause of the people who were striking, and i support them 100%. Please address their , give them what they are fighting for and allow them to get back to work.

Quite expensive hotel, a holiday resort payment is high and worth nothing. In hotel there were no services due to a strike, which has lasted more than a month.

To noisy

There was an ongoing strike at the hotel, this meant constant noise from protestors, no cleaning, I mean no cleaning at all - the hotel is a mess. Great location, horrible service and housekeeping

We came to the hotel for a large wedding & all of us had a terrible experience, construction was going on & protesting/strike no customer service or hotel cleaning also restaurants closed for construction, this was not what we expected & probably want stay at hilton again

Beautiful property. Our stay would have been amazing had the hotel not been on strike. Chanting picketers out all day from 7am-10pm. They are at all the entrances to the property and along the beach. You can’t enjoy your balcony without hearing them with their bullhorns and drums. At night your can’t enjoy the beach for the same reason. All the beach bars are closed so you can’t enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.
I’d pick a different hotel where you can actually enjoy the Hawaiian beaches and sunsets

When it's your mom's life long dream to go to Hawaii, as her daughter I made her dream come true. When I booked this hotel I was so excited. It had everything we were looking for.
However, when we showed up, the union was on strike. Room cleaning services were suspended. Some of the restaurants and pool bars were closed as well. If you needed additional towels or toilet paper, you had to go and fetch it yourself. The rooms were not once cleaned since we started our dream vacation. The first room they assigned to us was dirty and dusty from not being cleaned. We had to request a room change. In the process of changing rooms, my mom lost her favorite jean jacket.
What was suppose to be a relaxing vacation, turned out to be filled with nonstop strike activities occurring at every entrance and exit of the hotel. Chanting started at 7 am and did not stop until 10pm. On one morning, striking started at 5am. This was intolerable and unacceptable. They never notified us of there being a strike at this hotel. If either Hilton or Hotels.com had notified us prior to our stay, I would have canceled the reservation and rebooked with another hotel.
This totally ruined our Hawaii experience.

what a terrible experience. active strike, was never informed prior to arrival. several restaurants closed, rooms where never cleaned, no room service, the staff that was working seemed to look at it as it wasn't their problem. strikers yelling on bullhorns until 10pm every night. ruined our trip. will never go back or stay at a hilton again for that matter.

This was a stay that sucked due to poor communication from the property. There is a strike and that means NO HOUSEKEEPING OR FULL SERVICES.
We unfortunately had to listen to the strike ALLLLLLLLLLL DAYYYYY AND ALLLLLLLLLLL NIGHT barely getting any sleep. Do not stay here until this is over. It’s ruins the overall ambiance and nice pool and beach access of the resort.

The housekeepers were on strike, no one informed me of discomfort. I will not stay their again.

This was horrific and Hilton should be ashamed not to have offered booked guests other options due tot he strike. Rooms FILTHY. Constant megaphone picketing. Closed restaurants and services. Condescending management when voicing concerns. I will be charging back to the credit card my stay

Checked into the Hilton On September 29th, 2024. First of all, did not know that the workers were on strike. While checking in we had to wait 1hr 1/2. No room service was available, restaurant was closed, and pool near our room was closed. We returned our car rental because of the daily fee that the hotel wants.

I am requesting a refund! It was like a war zone there. No service. Hilton was on strike (for 3 weeks). We should have been notified and advised to choose another hotel. Very noisy with screams and bull horns from strikers. Not safe, no security, many angry homeless people begging for everything, sleeping on the beach. We did not feel safe. Only one open air restaurant was avaliable. Not good when it rains! Too many bums and homeless people eating out of garbage cans. Room was never cleaned. What a horrific experience.

Hotel stay was good. Had a good selection of places to eat at. Staff was on strike. So that was a bit annoying.

My wife and I just returned from seven nights at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The property was beautiful. We paid an average of $719.19/night for a room with a premium view. We celebrated ten years of marriage on this trip and looked forward to a special trip. A local hotel workers' strike put a damper on parts of our experience. Unsurprisingly, the same rooms were going for hundreds less per night when we returned.
We did not anticipate paying over $700/night and having no room service (for the entire week we cleaned our own room) and closed restaurants. We did not anticipate dodging picketers each time we walked off property or walked on the beach at night. We did not anticipate hearing picketers shouting "No contract, no peace!" through megaphones when we were waking up each morning or when we wanted to sit on our balcony and enjoy the view for which we paid over $700/night. Because the resort was short-staffed, valuable time was absorbed with hunting for people who could answer basic questions related to our reservation at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
I imagine the resort has a lot to offer during times of labor peace. Great views. Probably a restful experience. Our experience was not as restful as it could have been, as the folks who otherwise would have been taking care of us were shouting and chanting from the beach with multiple megaphones (we routinely heard them from our eleventh floor balcony), trying to ruin an experience ten years in the making for us.

Worst hotel that I’ve stayed in , the room was very dated and needed updating and repairs done, the staff were striking all the time so we got no room service at all while we were there, if we needed any towels or toilet rolls or anything we had to to to a table in a different landing and get them ourselves, we paid a lot of money for this hotel and picked it over other ones because that is where we wanted to go, even the staff on the main deck were not very helpful either, don’t stay at this hotel

We were bombarded by protesters. They are none stop!!! I’m so disappointed that YOU didn’t warn us of this. It’s been a miserable vacation. 1/2 the restaurants open, no room service, no house keeping, no hot water, dirty bathroom when we checked in. It’s sad to have saved for a vacation and it’s so bad. They start at 6am and go until 10pm

It was an anniversary trip for my wife and I so we splurged on a suite with a balcony and an ocean view. We were excited about staying at a Hilton property because they are typically more plush than an average hotel.
Problems started at check in. The lines were extremely long and all the desk staff were visibly irritated. Then after spending over $3k for a one week stay we were hit with another $1k in resort and parking fees. VERY unexpected! We get to the room and it was clean and nice so we let the desk experience go. The next morning we got a phone message stating in person check out was not available, that’s it, nothing else. Odd but ok. Then we went to get our car and were told there was no valet (that we paid $75 a day for) or hotel staff because they were on strike. Yep, the entire hotel staff was on strike so we had to clean our own rooms, get our own linens, towels and other items provided by the hotel for our entire 7 night stay. We had to dump our own trash, park are own car after paying for valet service, we had to cross a picket line every time we left or returned to the property and every time we tried to enjoy the balcony, that we paid extra for, we had to listen to the striking hotel staff yelling into a mega phone, all day, every day b of our stay, late into the evening. Hilton offered no explanation or anything until we complained. They reversed the resort & parking fees but offered nothing else. They do not have regular room service, it’s 3rd party delivery

Terrible stay. No cleaning and no service at all due to the strike. The hotel should have let us know there would be no available services. Not worth it with such an expensive cost.

The workers went on strike and so there was no janitorial and very limited services. The whole stay all we could hear was the strikers chanting. The hotel room was nice other than that and the view was amazing. I would imagine if the workers were not on strike the hotel experience would have been better.

There was a strike on. And we were not notified before arriving. Check in was chaotic and took hours. Lots of wasted time.
The beaches and the main pool were great.
Most restaurants not open as stated. All very limited. Pool close to our room closed although it was stated to be open. NOT.

This was a waste of our hard earned money 💰. We thought we would have a fun family vacation but instead we got a nightmare. Hilton did not tell us their employees were on Strike. We were greeted every day from 7 AM to 11 PM with megaphone screams and Striking Union 5 workers. Pool and beach were also invaded with strikers. It was intimidating. No room service. Closed restaurants. No Valet. Short staffing. No housekeeping. Etc, etc. Hilton did not give us any advance warning of the problems. Hilton did not seem to care that our vacation was a waste of money. It made me not want to stay at Hilton properties in the future. Where’s our refund. So so so overpriced.

Its was just horrible. The toilets were not cleaned, the fridge had spoilt wine in it. There were no towels. There was a storks going on and there was noise from early morning to late night. They had flown people from elsewhere to run the place.. They did not have any clue and were outright rude. Clearly they dint want to be there. Room was not even once cleaned out sheets changed or linens refreshed during our stay. Half the restaurants were closed. List goes on and on. So hilton Hawaiian village rather hilton is never ever for us.

Our experience was not good. We went to resort for our anniversary and expected a lot more. There was a srrike going on. We had no housekeeping. Didn't get new towels. No trash pickup. Toilet paper was not easily accessible. I am requesting a refund of a percentage of my fees from hotels.com because the prooerty said since i booked through hotels.com i had to refer my cash reimbursement from the third party carrier. I am a diamond memver with hilton honors and would appreciate a response to this review.

This was our first time to Hawaii. There was a strike going on at the hotel. Chanting all day and night. No services to our room, no clean towels, no extra coffee delivered, air conditioner went out. Had dirty water for a day. Not what i expected at the hilton. Very disappointed. I have pictures but cant upload.
