Pricy for the service provided.

Lingering smell throughout the hotel. Make sure to look at your air filters in the room, ours was beyond dirty. We booked a balcony room and the door would not lock. Great gym.

Service was impeccable. Though I did have to ask for housekeeping to come and clean the room.
Beautiful location right on the beach.
Loved the historic ambiance

The staff at Don CeSar is simply amazing. Everyone is beyond helpful and extremely pleasant. The facilities are spotless. We checked in for four days and never left the hotel. Everything we wanted was there and more. The private beach is pristine. We were there to celebrate my father's 92nd birthday and everyone treated him like a king. He navigated the areas easily. We had a junior suite and it was perfect because it had a lovely seating area where we could order room service in the morning. The pool area had two pools and had games and crafts three times a day. Trivia was at 3 PM and the staff made it so much fun. Cannot say enough nice things . We will return as soon as we can.

Property is fine. For the price…. There’s better. Service wasn’t there or non existent. Rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny.

Bathroom in the suite is very tight but in a 100 year old property it is understandable wonderful trip

First time there and won’t be the last. Loved it!

We love the Don. Service in restaurants was extremely slow. But otherwise, great place to stay.

The property was nice however the booking showed in the attached picture that it was an ocean front room, however I received a garden view room. the upgrade to ocean view was an extra $100 per night. There was no choice at the time of booking for ocean view versus non ocean view. I am not sure who is at fault Expedia or the Hotel

Great hotel

There are a couple of things that could be tweaked and the hotel would be outstanding. Toilet situation at the pool and beach furniture. Everything else was great and all of the staff were first class.

Stayed here for my birthday. Loved it! Food and drinks everywhere in the hotel were amazing. Loved the pool and beach access. Great scenery. Excellent service everywhere. Room and view were nice. Had zero issues.

Location..check! Pools...check! Vibes...check! Customer Service...check! Cleanliness...check! Pina Coladas...double check!
I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Don CeSar this past weekend. The hotel has the "Roaring 20's" ambience with a modern twist. Multiple locations within the property for upscale dining and cocktails. Not to mention, attentive poolside and beachside service.
What truly blew us away was the amazing customer service at this hotel. From the minute we were greeted by the doormen, to the frontdesk (champagine upon check-in), the staff here are incredibly friendly and willing to go above and beyond for everyone! Huge shoutout to the entire outdoor team (Emma / Paul) who made our weekend getaway feel like we were in paradise (lol).
I highly recommend it, and plan on coming back again. Thank you!

Oh man-where to start! This hotel holds itself out to be a luxury resort! I’m here to tell everyone that this is not a luxury resort!! In its day I’m sure it was magnificent.. its the little things that make a great work class resort.. just check out the boca resort and club! Check in was ok-room not ready.. asked for my Expedia VIP perk! Not happening ..paid $100.00 per night extra for what they call ocean front view..I was looking at the spa patio area and then yes I could see the water-Carpets were wet so I asked about this.. I was told that they just finished shampooing my carpet?! Insane!! I asked for a fan… the room smelled musty and a/c made it worse! The key system which is a bracket you wear is not reliable.. the men’s and ladies spa area are weak to say the least! We received a couples massage.. only good thing about my stay!! They advertise a whirlpool in men’s area.. not at all.. water does not create whirlpool effect.. and steam room was not working…Bottom line is this.. if I were paying less than $200 a night maybe these can be overlooked…this in NOT a 4-5 Star Resort!!! I have reached out to management several times for resolution and I received so BS automated message..BUYER BEWARE

Absolutely beautiful hotel with impeccable service and amenities. Staff is friendly and helpful, beach is beautiful, two pools, huge gym, the gym has cold eucalyptus towels that are an unexpected but amazing treat, wonderful place to stay

This is a top notch property and service offering. The staff are top notch and meticulously care for the guests in every detail. The Hotel itself is well maintained and modernized and has done so in a way to maintain the historic feel and grandeur of its 100 year history. Honestly we loved it and are sure to return.

They charge you $28 per day parking. Should be included.

I had seen DC from my boat a few years ago and said that I wanted to stay there one time because it looked so regal from the Gulf of Mexico. We decided to do a stay-cation for our anniversary. I know it's supposed to be luxury resort accommodations and a historic venue. The property looks nice from a far. The common area has an art deco style to it, which gives it a historic feel. The room was clean. The AC was cold. The water was hot, The plumbing worked. The cable worked. The closet was tiny. The drawer storage was small. The bathroom was small. The entry hallway was tiny. The towels were unexpectedly thin for a lux resort. The robes were thick & warm.
The pool & beach are the main draw. The pool had a good crowd during the day but was not over crowded. There was a high level observation deck between the pools for a great beach view. The beach scene was just like every other beach front hotel in Pinellas county. We used a kayak in the morning, which is free before 10. You would think for the $40 daily resort fee that it would be free all day but it ain't. There are wave runner rentals available if you want.
I assumed the grounds would be spotless but were not. There was a big empty bag of Doritos on the ramp to the lot. It was big enough for the valet to see while driving but no one picked it up. There were empty drink glasses on the pillars. I brought it in to the front desk after walking by it 3X.
For the price, I was underwhelmed. I won't return.

Excellent resort with so many amenities! We enjoyed the easy beach access, complete with beach chairs and umbrellas. Loved the shops, too.

I love that we were able to be upgraded to a sea view room and the service was lovely. Wish they would have a kids club where we could drop our kids for a couple of hours but everything else was lovely!

Property was excellent just the food was way overpriced, way to overpriced! A chicken sandwich and a burger with fries should not cost $100

It was a great stay; the property and staff were tired after the vacation rush.

The Don Cesar sits on a beautiful piece of property with such a wonderful beach. The sand is so soft. The staff is wonderful and so helpful. The hallways and some of the rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. Don’t agree with the daily parking rate for self parking when you are a hotel guest paying to stay there.

Everything is old and worn out (bed, pillows, linens, elevators, beach equipment).

Felt comfortable

Beach access, unfortunately the storm derailed our visit because we had to check out early

Need provide better in room service like microwave and better refrigerator rather cooler…

For the price I would have expected an updated and larger bathroom. 1 sink, a shower and toilette …the basics covered. Only 2 towels for a 4 person room. But the staff were excellent. Very considerate and accommodating. But the rooms were cramped and very outdated.
