Nice place. Shower was really bad. I couldn’t fit under it and the window in the bathroom seemed to be falling apart

Fantastic hotel, never stayed there before, but, we will certainly stay there again, ideal location with very helpful staff..

The elevator was not working the entire time breakfast was poor and i would not recommend. Location was a little out of the city. I would not call this Hotel a boutique hotel by any stretch.

Lovely hotel, friendly professional, helpful staff.
Great breakfast, continually refreshed.
We stayed across road in a huge room which had a large bathroom and felt very private and quiet.
Hotel on hop-on/off bus route. Walkable to botanic gardens and city centre if you take it as a pub crawl.
We had a great time.

My room was really dark and wallpaper was very dirty in places, it was also peeling from the walls in many areas..in the shower tray there was some black mould, i was shocked for a boutique hotel,at breakfast my daughter asked for some ketchup...they had none !!

The property is very clean and staff very pleasant. I had to continuously ask for additional towels. Not enough were left in the washroom. Also noticed that they never replenished items in bathroom like soap, shower cap and used items in the bathroom. The cleaning service should replenish items once items are consumed from bathroom.

We were to check in at 3 and couldn’t until 5.30- we had a concert so this really caused an issue …
Everyone was the same with a wedding also going on it was chaos and I felt bad for the staff as clearly not their fault but I don’t know how a hotel can charge over £200 for a stay and have all guests waiting in the foyer for 2 and a half hours …some people where offered a voucher for a drink at the bar but we weren’t and there was no compensation
I will also say I understand staff under pressure but they where arguing in front of us and it just made everyone really uncomfortable and it was unprofessional with one worker having an attitude with certain guests for asking about their room- again we understood they where under pressure but this worker wasn’t sympathising with the fact that people had to get into their rooms …there also was minimal workers and no manager so really just badly run and we wouldn’t come back or recommend

The room that we had was far too hot even after they gave us a fan so we couldn't get to sleep. The breakfast was very poor so all in all we weren't impressed.

We had one of the bigger suites, which was a really good size, and the room was clean. The bed was one of the comfiest we've slept in in a hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We did have some issues with our door card, which was inconvenient as we were in the building across the road from reception and it was pouring with rain at the time. This happened twice. The second time was at night and we had to go looking for a member of staff as there was nobody at reception.
The breakfast was good, although there seems to be a lot of surcharges for certain things which was disappointing when you've paid for bed and breakfast.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

The reception was warm & friendly but we were surprised to have been roomed across the road. The main dining room was closed & ended up having to dine in the greyhound room with our guests. Our guests Jan & Brian Broadbridge had a very unfortunate accident when leaving the reception when Brian slipped and hit his head & had a deep cut to his forearm. The staff were on duty had not been trained to deal with the accident, the first aid box was empty & it took time to deal with the situation. The accident was due to the steps out side reception being extremely wet & slippery.
An accident report has been submitted & I would like you to follow this up with me as they were my guests.
My name & phone details are as follows:

The worst hotel we stayed over 3 weeks in Ireland. We waited half an hour to check in at 3:00 pm only to be told the room was not ready. They asked us to sit on very dirty lounge furniture and we waited another half hour. The room was just very old and smelled of vomit . The view was on the huge ugly black pipes. We felt horrible and complained. So they gave us another room on 3rd floor, which had no windows except in the roof.
The bed was most uncomfortable and I think it had bed bugs. Definitely not 4 star experience. We stayed at the Titanic previously which was incredible, it is also 4 star but totally different experience.

Left out bags earlier in day. Then came back that night to check in. No one on reception had to ask several waiting staff who walked past us and seen us standing at reception waiting and never approached us themselves. Then when they got someone eventually he did not really appear to know what he was doing until it came to taking payment which he did no problem. We were then placed in a room in a separate building not even attached to hotel even though our booking was made months in advance. Got to it and toilet wasn’t working. Rang reception several times no answer and had to ring back after being told someone one way to fix it. When guy arrived - same guy a checking in- he just said dunno u will have to wait. We said what do we do for toilet facilities and he said dunno and to ask for a refund in morning and left. I then went to go to toilet on main hotel and crossed back to that building - no one on reception again to say were toilets were. Eventually found they were disgusting and full of faeces as this toilet too didn’t seem to work and the light fitting was hanging down out of ceiling. Absolutely terrible experience would not stay here again

Great staff & an excellent location.
We stayed in one of their apartments across the road from the hotel & it was very spacious & well appointed.
I’d stay there again.

This property was very clean x relaxing. The breakfast was fabulous all you could possibly want. I only had dinner in the restaurant one evening x it was first class. The staff in the hotel were very friendly x helpful. The hop on hop off bus stops right outside. It is about 25 minutes walk into the centre of Belfast.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable room. Lovely breakfast. Very polite staff.
Hotel has aprking but it is possible on the street outside without cost or time restrictions.
Pleasant walk to city centre via nearby Botanic garden
My Hotels.com 'loyalty status' supposedly entitled me to a free drink at the bar but the reception staff could not confirm this.

I ended up with a very large room and bathroom. Had trouble figuring out the lights and shower. The staff was excellent at helping me understand the pull cord for the bathroom lights and the switch for the hot water for the shower. The bar was lovely and I enjoyed my stay. The location was great for food and using transit to get around.

I've stayed here before but the allocated room wasn't as good as previous. Additionally the room was extremely hot - it was difficult to sleep.

We only stayed for 2 nights and loved it the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back for a longer stay

Excellent service throughout the hotel would definitely recommend to anyone.

Check in process needs some work. They were super strict on a 3pm checkin with 30 people in the foyer waiting for the time to clock over. Not a great experience. I don’t see why you wouldn’t put people in their rooms if they’re ready. It just makes sense.

Upon check in we were sent to the property across the street from the hotel. We would have preferred to be staying in the main hotel or at least to have been notified of this in advance.

We were visiting Belfast with another couple and stayed at The Malone for two nights. We chose the hotel as it looked liked a good standard and because of the ample free parking for our rental car. We were not disappointed as we really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were very spacious and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and we made good use of the fine bar, which served a great pint of Guinness! The only downside was that as my wife is in a wheelchair we had asked for an accessible room, which was generally very good but the shower did not have a seat. We asked for a “shower chair” on three separate occasions but despite being promised one it never materialised. We ended up taking the matter into our own hands and on the second day used one of the plastic bar chairs from the terrace, which actually worked really well. The location in a quiet residential street and close to the Botanic Gardens & Ulster Museum was fine for us but others may prefer being closer to the City Centre.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The suite was large but the sofa in the suite was quite stained.

We we placed in a flat across the road from the hotel which was not what I had thought I had booked. It did have a refrigerator though, so we could chill the complimentary water.
