Love this hotel and location. It’s our go-to when in KC.
3.0 / 10.0
Room had a moisture smell when we arrived, we just assumed that the previous guests had wet clothes in the room because it was snowing in the area at the time. However, later that night we noticed water was leaking from base of toilet. That was probably the source of the smell, but regardless...water was leaking from the base of the toilet. We also found that insufficient bedding was provided for the pull-out sofa. We tried to call guests service at least a dozen time but could not get through. We just decided to wrap a towel around the base of the toilet and deal with the lack of bedding with our own blankets our kids had brought with them. In the morning, as we checked-out, I discussed my concerns with the front desk. The lady I spoke with said she'd have maintenance look at the toilet and that they no longer provide bedding for the pull-outs because of a "linen shortage". No apology. So if you enjoy toilet water in your hotel room and do not intend to use the pull-out sofa, this is the hotel for you!

Hotel didn’t really come up to expectations. Room was fine, service was good apart from one gentleman at reception who seemed to be in management, sullen and unhelpful to say the least.
Breakfast was ok, hot food was never hot even when complained didn’t change, nothing under food containers to keep food hot and very limited choice. Cold buffet much better. Paid extra when booking for breakfast but was told could not choose from menu only buffet, even although I paid enough to cover anything provided on menu. Hotel has a good pool and is in a great area, but unfortunately I would choose somewhere else next time.

Whenever visiting Kansas City, this Hilton is our preference!! The consistency of service and high standards of the entire staff makes our stay so pleasurable.

When we pulled up the hotel the valet didnt even look up from his phone. We opened our doors, opened the trunk, unloaded our bags, and walked over to him. Only then did he acknowledge us and ask if we will be using valet parking. Then while checking in at front desk, I received an automated type text message fron the valet seevice telling me the valet had successfully parked my vehicle. The problem is my car hadn't moved an inch. It was still right where I left it with the valet. I was literally looking at it. Requesting the car via text was easy enough and the app to do so was simple. But each time we'd return to the hotel, the valet didnt even look up, acknowledge, or even greet us. We'd walk over to the valet desk and drop our key off. We found this quite odd compared to other valet service experiences. Yes, we tip. :)
The hotel room was fine. Not as large as the pictures on the site made it appear. The toilet was not bolted down and nearly tipped over. The AC was stuck on cold and would not change temperature. Our room was freezing so we just bundled up under blankets and waited until morning. The mini fridge was leaking a brown fluid into the cabinet. In the morning we requested a new room and the hotel management agreed to move us. The new room was just fine. Clean, working AC, no issues with the mini fridge.
The neighborhood is great. Lots of upscale shops and restaurants all within walking distance.

Hotel was great and in a great location. Within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops to visit.

They neglected to mention the breakfast would cost me $50 which is ridiculous. I assumed like any other hotel I've ever stayed in, including overseas; the breakfast would be complimentary. They told us the night before the hours would be 0700-1100, BUT NEVER MENTIONED A COST. Imagine my surprise receiving a check when there were no signs indicating it.
There was also a charge of $78 for parking for 3 days(October 24th-October 26th), even though the car wasn't there on the 25th. Because we had a driver for our wedding. This is my first time experiencing a charge for parking AT YOUR HOTEL, FOR YOUR GUESTS. I'd understand if I used the valet service, but that's strange. There were also signs indicating the hotel will not be responsible for any damages or stolen property from the parking garage... So what exactly am I paying for?
The security deposit of $300 out of the blue also caught me off guard, not everyone has an extra $528 for these surprise charges, especially when they have to pay for their own wedding like me.
I was hoping for a nice relaxing stay, instead I feel like they were squeezing every penny they could get out of me. This left a sour taste in my mouth, and I won't be booking with Hilton any time soon, if ever again.

The room was very nice and the staff was super helpful. Anything we needed they were on top of it immediately.

My only complaint was paying $26 a night for parking. I would have parked across the street in free parking had I known. I self parked in the hotel garage. I was there less than 24 hours and had to pay $52 for parking my own car.

We had two rooms, they were supposed to be on the same floor - but they weren’t.
The rooms were dirty. The patio doors were broken, the fire alarm was disconnected, the patio was filthy, and the room was much smaller than pictured (we were in the Presidential Suite). The cleaning crew failed to make-up our room on two nights of our stay.
One of the elevators was broken, and the other ones stunk of cleaning fluid. They elevators took forever, and the indoor pool area was unkept with missing ceiling tiles and exposed wires. The Gym had an issue, and big portable fans were drying something out - but it wasn’t appealing to think that mold spores might be floating around in the gym.
There were some nice staff members, such as Eric the facilities guy. He tried to make everything better that he could. He was great, helpful and friendly.
That being said, the people I was with made it a nice trip, but I wouldn’t recommend staying there again.

This is my third time staying at this Hilton. The location in the Plaza is walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean. The fitness center is updated and modern. The outdoor pool is nice. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. I love the parking garage under the hotel. I will stay at this hotel every time I visit KC.

The rooms were nice and had comfortable beds. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because the pool water was cloudy and there were no towels available in the pool area.

Horrible experience, was in Kansas City for the weekend and the A/C nor the phone worked to call the main desk. Called the 1800 number and it took forever for someone to pick up. Horrible customer service. Never staying there again!!!

Average stay. The room took a long time to cool off. We requested a fan. They did offer a different room but didn't feel like moving. The sliding bathroom door was broken and needed painting badly but not the end of the world. The valet was quick just a little pricey considering the free parking across the street.

The a/c did not get cold no matter what I did.

Convenient location on the Country Club Plaza for shopping and dining. Easy to get an Uber
Excellent pool with towels provided
Fitness area
We took an Uber to Union Station and then caught the FREE street car to River Market for lunch and shopping
Did not like the lack of towels in our room (2) for two people and (1) wash cloth, plus (2) total cups of coffee for two people. Also, our safe was broken.

The hotel was great except it was a surprise that the room had a shower instead of a bath tub. The people working there were extremely nice. The underground parking was convenient. The bed was comfortable, and great view of the Plaza.

Clean and close to all the shops.
6.0 / 10.0
We liked the outdoor pool, the location to food and shops. Staff were friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the pool, around the pool area, and pir room bathroom floors need extra attention. With some maintenance to the pool area and cleaning that throughout the day and in the morning could go a long way to filling rooms!

Great place! Awesome rooms. Parking is a lot aT this location. They should definitely offer free self parking for guests. Valet was totally overwhelmed most of the time of our stay.

Very happy with our 5 day stay! Clean and love the location. The breakfast was VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Paid the extra money each day to have breakfast included, it was the same nasty food each morning. No pancakes, waffles, or biscuits and gravy. Running eggs, sausage or ham, and mixed veggies every morning. We are NOT picky eaters at all but it was NOT worth the money. Go somewhere else for breakfast.

Parking was easy and location was great. The room we were in was due for renovation. The bathroom could have been cleaner.
