1990’s food was ok. Room ok. Nothing to write home about. Staff were very good. Very difficult to find as the A59 was closed due to a landslide

Our stay was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Only have one comment, the breakfast could have been a little bit hotter.
The Devonshire Arms is in a beautiful part off Skipton with brilliant walks around. We would recommend to all.
We would go again if only to try out the spa.

We recently stayed for one night following a wedding reception in one of the private rooms. The hotel itself was charming, with log fires burning and many cosy places to sit and relax in. The staff were superb from the moment we arrived, coming out to see if we needed help with our bags and during the reception they were extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our dinner in the evening was delicious and the preparation of the dining room for the wedding was faultless. We had such an enjoyable time that we’ve already planned to go back next year to celebrate the first wedding anniversary.

A really wonderful stay for our 40th anniversary. The hotel staff did everything they could to make the stay during the times of Covid as safe and welcoming as possible

Wonderful hotel in a fantastic setting which made for a really special overnight stay and meal

Stayed for 2 nights for a family event. The bed was lumpy and too soft, the old shoddy mattress too short and the pillows practically non-existent. The room was classed by the hotel as a Deluxe Double. Premier Inn rooms are bigger. The service very slow. At £259 per night I would expect far better.

Slow service in the Brasserie. Reception staff were excellent. Some bedroom furniture needs attention.Decorations were impressive in the hotel.Bar service area often left unattended for too long.In conclusion, very comfortable but room for improvement.

We really enjoyed our stay the only small point is that the leisure centre is separate often a problem with the older hotels . We live in Leeds and this area is one of our favourite locations.

I did not appreciate being barged out of the way by waiting staff in the bar. Not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel

I took my partner here for Valentines day as it has been on her bucket list for years. At £400 for B&B I expected something truly special, but was left disappointed. In short the walls were full of dirty scuff marks, and there were several lights blown in the bathroom, the WiFi was very slow the TV was tiny. The Spa was also nice but lacking considering the price of a room. One of the pools was out of order, and the changing rooms so small I resorted to walking down to reception and putting my shoes and socks on there. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The food and service was excellent. Breakfast was let down by poor service, and a depleted buffet. There had been a 12.5% service charge added to my bill for the dinner, and a further service charge added to my bill for the room. At the prices they charge here I find this absolutely galling, opportunistic and disrespectful of customers. I will not be returning.
