1.Powerful Shower. This you don’t get usually in holiday cottages in isolated locations. But lower Turnerford has a great shower and bath.
2. Superfast WiFi
3. Great sized rooms
4. Two nice and warm fireplaces
5. Fantastic hosts. Never came across hosts who called up and made sure that we are ok while we were driving up to their property. A Very moving gesture. The hosts also made sure the cottage was warm when we arrived and welcomed us with chocolates and cookies.
6. Location of the property was fantastic. We stayed here during autumn season and it was an absolutely fantastic views we had.
Well We didn’t like to leave the property.

Hosts were always on hand to assist with our needs during the stay even sorting out a taxi back from the wedding venue. The cottage was traditional in line with the amazing Yorkshire Dale surroundings. Definitely recommend as a quiet getaway in the country.

The cottage was cosy with loads of space for us (family of four). Lots of traditional features thoughout, the beds were really comfy, the whole cottage was spotless and we had everything we needed. The hosts, Kim and Robert were so welcoming, friendly and helpful - the fires were ready to light if we needed them which was a huge help. The cottage was in a great location to explore the surrounding area.

A lovely property with beautiful views. Excellent for families and those wanting to get off the beaten track for a recharge. Wonderful hosts was a definite plus and the property was stocked with everything one needed.
Nothing that comes to mind which is saying a lot.

Beautiful farmhouse and surroundings. We got lost and the hosts called us to see if we were okay, then we got really lost and they came out in their car to get us to follow them. The fires were burning ready for our arrival, lovely gifts left out for us. Totally amazing trip and would definitely recommend!

Kim was so kind and welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. The cottage is absolutely lovely, so warm and cosy with everything you could possibly want. We loved the wood fires and the beds were comfy and warm. Views were beautiful and location was fab.
It was absolutely perfect, can't think of anything to improve it. Just wish we could have stayed longer really! Perfect stay in a perfect place.

the farm house is in a very quiet rural area, but within easy reach of towns and villages and beauty spots.

Cozy, lots of room, very friendly owners. They left us plenty of firewood too. Would definitely stay here again!
Hard to find, we used Waze and it sent us down the wrong road twice. Recommend using the Three Words App to get it right.

I liked the hospitality of the owner and family. They were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome with everything ready for us to checkin.

The cottage is on a farm, we found the location wonderful - very peaceful with sheep in the fields around us, but only a short drive from a good local shop at Austwick, or the many shops, pubs restaurants, takeaways at Settle. Our host Kim was fantastic, couldn’t do enough to help make our stay a good one.

wood fire in the living room, decent sized accommodation.
the bedrooms were cold despite the heating being being on for a couple of hours. I guess it’s probably the type of property it is. we had to keep the heating on all night, which we hate but still the small bedroom was not very warm.

We like the decoration, the open fire place. A lovely house, and the owner of Kim and Robert are kind and helpful.
The cottage was a bit cold the first day. But the second day was much warmer because the heating and fire place all set up earlier.

The property is immaculate, and very spacious. Beautiful old style farmhouse, but with all the modern amenities, and a lovely open fire. Very child friendly, everything was baby-proof. Hosts were lovely, got the balance just right between making sure we were comfortable and had all we needed, and yet not encroaching on our time, space and privacy.

Very friendly hosts, covid-aware, well equipped and comfortable farmhouse, very quiet location, good base from which to explore the western side of the Dales. Hosts found some small items we had left behind and forwarded them on to us, which was much appreciated.
Nothing.

We stayed for a few days with our 4 year old twins. It was lovely and perfectly set up for a family. It’s slightly off the beaten track but shops and restaurants are a short drive or long walk away.
Low door frames (I bumped my head more than once).

wonderful place
Very nice place and far from the city, house in a farm, the owners of the house are very nice, they have excellent guest care, the internet is fast, the kitchen is complete with the necessary things. I recommend this place.

The facilities and location were both equally fabulous. The farm views, the animals, the running stream - plus indoors, the fire, the coffee machine, books, DVDs, guides for walks, the kitchen, the dining area, the bedrooms... Everything we wanted!

Warm friendly welcome. It was a very clean and comfortable cottage, well equipped with kitchen and dining facilities. Would definitely recommend this cottage

We received a lovely warm welcome from the host. The host offered to give directions if we were unable to find the cottage and also enquired what time we would arrive so that the fire in the living room could be already lit for our arrival. We even received some welcome goodies and a bottle of wine - perfect.
The bedrooms are of a good size and the character of the cottage is lovely. There's a garden to the rear, car parking and (if you check with the owner) it's possible to cross the sheep field and take a walk by the stream. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and was well located for exploring the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales.
There was nothing to not like. Everything was absolutely spot on.

Excellent location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales

The location was secluded yet within short distance of amenities and tourist sites. A little piece of heaven. The children loved running down by the river and playing on the farm. A very warm and welcoming place, fantastic for families and those who love nature! After a long day out it was wonderful to soak in a bath that was 5*, and have a fire lit by the owners ready for us when we arrived at the end of the day! The inside of the cottage was breathtaking, every detail was attended to! Definitely staying here again!
