We stayed at the Maritim Hotel for one night and I'm thankful it was only one night. A terrible night's sleep. Booming bass until 1130 at night. The room had no A/C so it was very hot, opened the door to let air in only to get cigarette fumes and people shouting. Finally fell asleep only to be woken by more shouting outside. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly.

The hotel is outdated. I have stayed in two different rooms. One had old, worn-out furniture, wall-to-wall carpets, ugly curtains, and a view of another, dull building that is part of the hotel. The other room was much larger, renovated, but in a bland, boring style. An interior designer did a very poor job. The room has great potential, but the initial impression was random and incredibly dull, the space was poorly utilized. The bathroom was the best part, but with potential for improvement. I paid over 8000 NOK for 3 nights, but did not get value for money. The best part of the stay was the breakfast, with a very large selection, thoughtful and delicious. I had an unpleasant experience when I went to pick up a coffee to go on my way out of the hotel in the dining room where I had just eaten breakfast. I was stopped by astaff member who asked me to explain if I was staying at the hotel and in which room. I gave her the room number, but when she returned, she remembered the wrong number and began questioning me as if I were a criminal. I provided the number again, along with my name. She began asking about the reason for my stay at the hotel. It started to become uncomfortable. It was a business trip, and I was dressed accordingly. All because the hotel has from outside coming in and having breakfast without staying at the hotel. This problem could easily solved by having everyone who enters provide their room number. All guests should be treated equally.

I arrived before check in time and the hotel had the room ready. Arrived by car and not brought luggage when checked in. Went back to car for pick up luggage. In this time hotel have given someone else this room. Need waiting for hotel get other room ready. Hotel said it was same, but the new room was not same as the first.

If you book a hotel to enjoy a great breakfast, look no further. Its the best I've ever had. I you book a hotel for enjoying a nice updated room, go other places. Furnitures, balcony door and interior are worn and seen better days. Bath were refurbished and good. Breakfast... its ranked best among norwegian hotels, and i can truly understand why. I never spend an hour at breakfast, but here i did.

Quite noisy night and very short sleep. Not even a bottle of water to welcome the guest. They don’t know that trips are often very long to reach Haugesund… The bathroom was not cleaned properly. Good points: the restaurant and the breakfast, very good!

Var på tur med en gammel mor med dårlige ben og fikk to gamle slitne rom i fløyen lengst vekk fra heis og resepsjon. Velidig misfornøyd og vil sannsynligvis aldri book dette hotellet mer. Bildene lyver maks i forhold til hva vi fikk. Men bra service utover det og en glimrende frokost dro opp.

Nice location in Haugesund. The room I had was a bit worn out and could do with some renovation. Also there was a smell from the drain in the bathroom. Breakfast is absolutely great and fantastic with lots of delicous things to chose from.

Hotel was a bit tired in terms of usual scandic quality, the hot food at breakfast was cold but overall a pleasant stay. The staff were brilliant and we slept very well.

The hotel is not the best. The room we got was very small. When we checked in the lady was so bored and did not tell us anything regarding wifi, breakfast, or parking. We had to ask. The breakfast is very good but other than that I would not stay here again. Ive stayed in many different hotels all over europe and this is by far the worse. The cost is double what I have paid before and the room is twice as small. My husband is very tall and could barely fit on the bed. He is Norwegian, you think they would provide beds that would accommodate their own people. There is no hotel parking, you have to pay. With the price of the room, you would think it would be included but its not. They also kept trying to get me to pay for more wifi which was bizarre.

I stayed for the Ironman Haugesund so it was convenient for me as the expo and festivities were held here. The rooms were rather small for my buddy and I but the location was perfect. Issues with one elevator but that was manageable. Staff was excellent very nice and attentive. Breakfast was indeed what the reviewers here say and then some. Great selections and great presentation even! And the hotel is right at the harbor. I didn’t get a harbor view so that would be icing for somebody who can. Walking distance to everything. I definitely recommend and if I ever come back I would stay here. But please make it warmer??? Cold and rain ughhh LOL. John from Huntington Beach CA. Room 446

Hotel with a perfect location by the sea. Nice and clean room. Both room and bathroom had good standard. The breakfast was excellent! Nice bar and restaurant located at the hotell. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

One night stay on our drive from Bergen to Stavanger. Easy parking for a fee, we had a room with a bunk bed which would be handy if traveling with kids, comfortable beds, great shower. Some of the rooms facing the water had enclosed decks. Outside waterfront dining.Hands down this Scandic location has the best breakfast- delicious, unbelievable variety and the presentation was beautiful!!!

We loved the spacious room with balcony as much as we did the view over Haugesund. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had. My compliments!!
