Great little room for a single bedroom - but they had put the heating on full blast. I ended up putting on the air con midway through the night after turning the radiator off before going to bed.

Very convenient for GLibe and town centre. Parking available although didn't use. Very close to London Road(Guildford) station. Friendly staff

This is a real gem of a hotel and the rooms were really good - clean, well presented and with a great selection of teas and coffees. Liked the little sweets too.
Excellent for the theatre so it was just such a great choice and I would absolutely go back and stay there again.

Delightful stay, lovely room, friendly staff, great location for Guildford high street access.

Help!! Our credit card was double charged for the deposit when we arrived and only credited back once. It’s just over $201.47 or 50 UK per our 3 rooms. The card charged with deposits was Prudence McCabe. I paid for the rooms under my card.
I can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected], or 01-310-850-3321.
Thank you! Jen McCabe

Everything about my stay at the Mandolay Hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room spacious and comfortable, and they thought of everything with lovely toiletries, coffees and even a bag of chocolate popcorn. Thanks to Scarlett, who went above and beyond to welcome me.

The room was very nice and food good too. However the room was located in annex and the small window was just a few metres from an entrance to an events venue in the hotel. There was an event running the evening we stayed with people gathering outside the door but the worst was in the early hours when the event was ending and items were being removed - so much banging and crashing and people clearing up shouting to each other just outside our window. We phoned reception to complain at 2AM, after that the shouting stopped but the banging and crashing continued until 2:30. Either the event should have been better managed by hotel staff or the room should not be occupied when an event is running. Could have been a very nice stay but experience was ruined by the noise.

Fabulous one night stay. Room was excellent as was the shower. Food good. Customer service excellent.
Only disappointing thing was the charge for the car park.
Would defo barely stay again

Great hotel very nice staff

Good location , easy walk to various food outlets and shops / railway station. Nice bar area and small outside seating and table area. Parking a car could have been booked with the hotel but no information was shared until I arrived. But parking is available.

Why was I asked for my room number FOUR times at breakfast?

Great facility with wonderful staff.

Great stay, lovely hotel and friendly staff. Really nice breakfast too

We paid for an upgrade to Executive Double, as we wanted seated area, however the room was not what we expected, it was small with no seating area, definitely not worth paying an upgrade for. Having stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions, without upgrading, this room was poor and smaller in comparison, really disappointing!
Breakfast was ok.

Rooms too small clean good service too noisy

Staff again were very helpful and friendly. Very welcoming too. Hotel is very well appointed as was the room. Great choice for breakfast.

All good except the room was very hot. Comfortable beds and enough room for two adults and one child.

Beautiful hotel , breakfast was really good ,hotel spotless , our room overlooked a flat roof with two air conditioning units which hummed continuously which if i wasn't staying for just the one night i probably would have complained about .bathroom was tiny. We were a large group who had different room types , my mothers room was lovely . I think it depends on where the room is in the hotel.

Great stay in a lovely room. Service was excellent and staff are really friendly.

Great breakfast and friendly waiting and reception staff. Unfortunately was woke at midnight by a member of staff entering my room. When asked to leave they advised they needed to fix the radiator. They had made a mistake with the rooms however they did not knock or didn’t leave swiftly when asked too.

Be aware the parking is expensive.

Lovely place to stay. Sadly let down by noisy party upstairs until the early hours. Not really the hotels fault but you notice it more in the older hotels.

Staff were excellent and is a tribute to you all as being an independent hotel. Rooms clean and equipped - shower / bathroom a little tight but all good. We will definitely use again.

Beautiful hotel and close to amenities. Secure reserved parking worth it. Staff very professional and courteous. Will choose this hotel again over the others I've stayed at. Breakfast was really nice and worth the money.

Amazing experience.

Boasts 4* quite away from that standard!
- Bathroom window with no blind, unable to shower as no privacy.
- Bed linen poor quality, full of static.
- Bed base broken, bottom half of bed dipped so you was not led flat.
Icing on the cake was being able to hear the upstairs guests using the lavatory, a delightful experience.
Not worth the £100 a night price

Community part of hotel very nice. Room basic though beds comfortable. Room for 3 people but only 2 coffee sachets milk etc
Very hot and very noisy. Could hear people walking up staors next to us and people walking in room above and toilet flush loudly. Staff friendly.

Paying for parking on site ???? Shocking for guests staying overnight. Nice place. But noise from other rooms. Staff a little aloof on reception. But ok. Would stay again if they didn’t take the liberty of charging 15 pounds for your car

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Only disappointment was the room service which ended at 9pm.

Modern, clean, good bed & linen.
Great service, polite & professional staff. Good breakfast.

Liked the quirky room under the eaves and free tea/coffe on departure. Also parking arrangements with fee paid usable in bar so long as receipt is requested from machine. Need many more teabags in the room though. We checked in late and tired and forgot to ask for extras from reception. Easier all round if there were at last 4 in the room.

Disgraceful Guest Relations Team.
At check-out I informed the person on reception that the bed was broken (something I only noticed upon getting in bed at 1am once my infants were asleep and could not do anything about) and would need to request a refund since it was a terribly uncomfortable night's sleep. The person at reception called someone else over who handed me a business card and said I would have to email the guest relations manager to request the refund. Stupidly, I thought they would act in good faith and so left with the business card thinking it would be handled professionally.
The guest relations manager denied that the bed was broken (even with my photographic evidence) and refused any refund. I have gone back and forth many times to give them the opportunity to make it right and offer some kind of compensation, but they are not willing to refund a single penny or offer any alternative compensation. I've never experienced such awful customer service.
The room we were given was very different to photos, very outdated. The worst part is, we were originally in a nicer, smaller room, but upon checking in, the duty manager saw that we had two babies and offered us a family room, which we said yes to as they did not have enough travel cots at the hotel.
Do yourself a favour and chose the Harbour Hotel in Guildford instead. A business is nothing without good customer service.
