Hotel is next to a really busy road and the room I was given was basically on top of the road. Extremely noisy, hard to sleep if you'rea light sleeper like me, even with earplugs. Woman at reception was quite rude.

Comfortable, convenient, very good straff.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, the only thing I didn't do was book a room with an onsuit bathroom, the hotel is in a nice location about a 20 mins slow walk from the train station.
5.0
Very friendly staff - clean comfortable room - walking distance to shops and bars

This was a last minute booking for business travel. As a single room, it was smaller that a standard hotel room, but was exactly what I needed. Breakfast was excellent.

The parking was not good value at £10 a night so for two nights £20 is too much . Also for the same price no water or replenished shower products provided . This is not good value as the second night is the same price ( no discount for additional nights) so should have the same benefits .
Otherwise everything was good .

I booked a single room approx. 12*8, so tiny. The room was modern and clean. No electrical outlets near the bed and lacking flat storage spaces and drawers. Parking was an extra 10 pound a night. Coffee and tea were not refilled the 2nd night, left me with a feeling of penny pinching. Overall, just okay but very expensive for what I got.

Welcoming. Spotless. Good breakfast available.Would stay again.

The room I had was at front of the hotel by a very busy road, there were black out blinds but very exposed if blinds were up, could have done with Venetian blinds to let the light in but give more privacy.

Ad always, welcoming, neat and tidy, well maintained

Nice breakfast for 12 pounds I was never told until the next morning that there was a charge for parking 10 pounds . Very clean, quiet easy to find excellent bed

Everything is too loud. I got woken up by some annoying guy in another room humming. The lady on the desk was nice. Its on a horrible hill to walk up also

All was good with our stay however we only had one towel and one cup/ hospitality items- we raised this as we left and were told they didn’t know 2 people were staying although said : on
Booking
Also we were surprised to be charged £10 for onsite parking just for one night it seemed excessive

Great experience with lovely staff and a clean and comfortable room

Quick & easy check in Room was quite good enough for a one night stay although maybe not if you were going for a week as there is not a great deal of storage space.
Only thing wrong was having to move the desk to use the kettle with what has to be the shortest lead ever made it would not only not reach to the desk when I tried the other plugs it would even reach the ground.

Very friendly welcome from Caroline, the manager. She let us leave our luggage there in the morning before check-in time, and it had been taken to our room when we arrived later. The heating in the room/shower room wasn't working, but Caroline immediately found a portable radiator which sorted things out nicely. The hotel was very clean and had clearly recently been renovated and nicely decorated. Perfect for our stopover, and easy to walk into Guildford centre.

A very cosy and reasonable hotel, not far from the tram station. The room was very small, but the bed comfortable and for one night that was fine. The breakfast was excellent.

We checked for 5nights and were upgraded to the lovely penthouse suite for several nights. Staff and housekeeping adjusted their schedule while we adjusted to the jet lag experienced. Breakfast buffet options were wonderful and available timely. Thank you and highly recommend for all future guests !!!

Excellent quality of amneiies, showers, baths, etc.
6.0
The convenience for central Guildford and also leaving Guildford. The parking at the property
What I did not like was the website was confusing, on reading it initially it led me to believe both parking and breakfast were included, however this proved not to be the case. ONLY if you book direct with the hotel do you get them. This MUST be made cleared, one should not have to scrutinise every word, so I felt rather unhappy at this. I hope this helps other visitors in future
The facilities available were confusing, on booking

Easy to find in a good location. It was compact but comfortable and clean and had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great. Staff were very friendly and I would be happy to stay here again

A different approach to small hotels, which for us worked very, very well. Would absolutely use an Asperion Hotel again.

This was my second time staying at the Guildford Asperion. As my first experience was very positive, I rented two rooms as I had a friend come into town. Upon arrival we were met by the registration employee who was not particularly welcoming. Whilst completing the registration we were informed that our parked vehicles were subject to 10 pounds ($12 or so) per night for parking. This was not listed on the Expedia booking page and was a surprise to me as it was not the case on my first stay at the hotel in 2021. When we questioned the charge the employee shrugged their shoulders and said that the charge was the case for all guests who booked through Expedia and that if we had booked directly there wouldn't be a parking charge. We asked if we could speak to his supervisor to see if there was anything we could do about the charge as we weren't sure whether we still wanted to stay, and at this point the hotel employee said that they couldn't care if we stayed or left and refused to ask his supervisor to come and talk to us. We then tried to pay for the parking with cash but were informed that the hotel is cashless leading to yet another disagreement. At this point we were getting frustrated and the hotel employee then threatened to call the police.
We decided in the end to just reluctantly pay the parking cost even though the lack of transparency on Expedia was frustrating. The welcome we received at the Asperion Guildford was atrocious.
Note: All other employees were friendly

Great welcome and nice staff throughout

Clean, comfy, shower was compact but nice.
Had a nice sleep here. Staff were welcoming and and friendly.
Reception was not manned overnight and there was no info in the room about what to do if I had a problem overnight, but I didn't so I don't know if phoning the main contact line would have got through to anyone. Soundproofing was fairly good - I could hear traffic outside but only quietly, although I could hear something knocking in the wind most of the night, seemingly inside somewhere, although I didn't investigate as it was only minor.
Overall, a great price, a nice evening with only minor issues, and I'm pretty happy.

The property was not as advertised, when booking. Had to pay for parking and extra for breakfast.

Great location. Visited Guildford a few months back from Canada and arrived a bit early from an overnight flight. The staff was so helpful and let us freshen up and leave our bags ahead of our room being ready. Room was cozy and convenient allowing us to explore Guildford.

The bathroom window was clear glass with no shade or curtain. It could be seen into from the car park and from neighbouring properties. Really uncomfortable.

Friendly staff and lovely clean, bright, modern room.
Just a little noisy when guests return in the evening and use the stairs.

Small but adequate room. Breakfast good but had to pay to park my car

Nice hotel with own parking (though might be cumbersome for big cars to turn around). Near to town and views of the cathedral. Town is about 10-15min walk down hill, so options there for dinner. Train station also within walking distance, and is serviced by council taxis. Around the hotel not so much food options except for nearby convenience store and pub. Dinner is offered on-site but it’s pretty basic. There’s also a laundrette nearby if needed. Overall it was a happy stay and would recommend.

Lovely new facilities, very clean bathroom and amazingly strong shower!
Very hot rooms with no air con but we were experiencing a heat wave and understand air con isn't normally essential.
We were moved rooms and provided a fan so really appreciate the help with that!
Comfy beds and regular cleaning of rooms, easy parking and we liked the idea of the honesty bar.
Bedding had a strange smell of old water like it had been left in the washing machine too long but it was clearly clean.
We had breakfast at the hotel and it was very tasty and fresh with local produce, we didn't have an evening meal but the options looked really nice!

We booked a small double and that’s what we got and were entirely satisfied with it. The small bathroom and shower were in very good condition and nicely decorated as was the bedroom. Breakfast was offered but we were visiting a family member and therefore didn’t take this option.
5.0
More of a B&B than a hotel but don't let that put you off. Have stayed many times and all the staff are very friendly, walk you to your room.
The room it self is modern, bright and clean. Bed linen is lovely, soft and firm pillows on the bed so you can choose. Bathroom is great, mist free mirror, AMAZING shower!
