A secure functional chain hotel with plenty of parking. Our room was large although the bathroom felt a bit dated. The staff on reception didn't go out of their way to explain what facilities the hotel had or what was in the surrounding area. We found the swimming pool by accident. They didn't have a map available either. On our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant. Although for most of the time there was only us and one other table the service was slow. When our meals eventually arrived they were no more than luke warm. It took over 20 minutes for a bottle of sparkling mineral water to arrive. When it did it clearly had been shaken up on it's way as it sprayed out all over the table. After we had signed the bill so that it could be put on our room the waitress came to our room and said that we had to pay for it separately. We ate out on our second night! Although there were a lot of notices about saving water due to a drought when our room was serviced the towels were changed, even though we were only staying two nights, and the face cloth disappeared.

Unfortunately our very special occasion only ended up with disappointment and food poisoning from undercooked frozen (as we were informed later by staff) fish which was sent back along with my undercooked steak. We reported the fish to the manager who did not offer any compensation and informed us he would investigate and get back to us - we're still waiting well after 2 weeks. Our last night - disappointment again - and we unfortunately decided to eat at the restaurant again - to play it safe ... salad and pizza. Very underwhelming - the pizza base tasted as if it were a standard supermarket base and not a fresh base. The wine list became limited as several of the wines we chose on different occasions were out of stock. The room was clean, but we needed to air the room each day due to the cleaning agents being used. The pillows were new, but either too large or too soft - frustrating - but they did provide us with extra soft ones to sort it. Parking, security was all good. In general, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach views from the balcony are excellent, though, not their fault, the traffic noise is continuous. The gym, while small, was adequate for a small workout and it was nice to be able to use the bikes while looking out to the ocean.

The Courtyard hotel was warm and welcoming. Rooms comfortable. Lovely pool and lounge area. In walking distance to the beachfront and eateries. We would definitely stay here again.

It was absolutely amazing. We have no complaints at all. the place was nice and clean. The home service was also impressive. Excellent view, especially to watch the dolphins passing by in the morning.

We booked two rooms, but Our both rooms were in the basement with walking out door. The smell was terrible, we asked to switch to the room above ground, the staff was very rude and refused. If we knew the rooms were in the basement, we definitely would not book it. Bad experience!!!

I gifted a couple an overnight stay at this property as part of their wedding gift. I paid a suite with a queen bed. When they arrived at the property the staff was rude and unwilling to help. They gave the newlyweds a 2 twin beds small room. I paid for a better room. Really disappointed 😱. I need a refund.

Great pool. Very clean. Excellent staff. Beautiful view of the ocean and boardwalk. Nice balcony. We were warned not to walk even a few blocks to restaurants after dark.

One of the very few hotels on the beachfront with sea-facing balconies and convenient parking outside your room. Wide open spaces and a feeling of freedom as the property is huge. Walking distance to beach front, swimming beach, promenade, casino, mall and restaurants!

The property is conveniently located for an overnight stay before heading to the airport. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would most probable suit a longer stay as the rooms have a small kitchen.

Lovely hotel overlooking the beach. Close to shopping mall, restaurants and boardwalk. Staff friendly and helpful. Good amenities in room. Wifi good. Comfortable bed. Would certainly stay here again.

Staff was not friendly. Confused our reservations with the day before, thinking we had been a no show, so had to get that figured out. NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE INCLUDED. Costs $20 to schedule a shuttle one way.

While I can't fault the hotel, and have stayed there on many previous ocassions ( having booked either directly or on another site) the hotel room I was given on check-in was not as described on the website. The room did not accord with the booking photo. It was a much smaller room with no walk through lounge area as depicted on photo (the room I usually book at this hotel) and so no sofa bed for my young daughter. It was unsuitable for 2 adults and a child as advertised, and I was therefore forced to take an expensive upgrade at the hotel to get the room I had thought I had booked. I paid an additional R565 at the hotel. Hotel.com has not response to my complaint. In the circumstances, I will never book through this site again. I attach a photo of the room as booked the site. Whether this was intentional or due to an oversight this lends itself as a case of false advertising. Not impressed at all. Due to above excercise caution when booking on this site.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Very well located and close to many restaurants and pubs. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated but the rooms are very comfortable.

They did replace it for me however, the new matress was very hard, thus a further sequence of discomfort and poor sleep.... after 2 weeks i departed feeling exhausted. This was a big let down as i was intendimg to recharge and reenergise this holiday season.

The staff were all professional and helpful. The room was clean and lovely. I did get a bit confused as I did not find any coffee table in the room, but eventually when I explored I found the cupboard (thinking it was for clothes) was in fact a little kitchenette. Brilliant. Two pronged plugs should be offered for being able charge one's phone. Thank you Court Yard, I have always wanted to stay and now know I will be back.

Lovely quiet room. Very spacious and a great mattress! Honest cleaning staff who handed in a special pair of boots I left behind. I was able to retrieve them the next day! Will definitely stay there again.
