This hotel is wildly overpriced and just horrible. The elevators are small and slow and beat to heck. The hallways have 7 foot acoustic tile ceilings and the rooms have terrible bedding and pillows that were the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel at any price.
For $1000 a night all in, we didn’t even get a bottle if water yet still got dinged for parking. I would not stay there again if it was free.
Avoid avoid avoid.

Everything and everyone was wonderful. Probably our favorite hotel in the area. Wish that self-parking wasn't $25 night.

What a beautiful place! Highly recommend.

I would give you 5 stars all the way across the board, but the chair, and toilet paper roll holder in our room were broken. I made the front desk aware within minutes of us being in the room, and it was never addressed. There were also carpet tacks coming up through the ripped carpet by the door. My only other recommendation would be lights in the dog walk area at night. That path is super hard to navigate even in the day time.
We LOVED the staff, the convenience, and the ambiance of the property.

Not as responsive with a high level of attention to detail as we were expecting. Several staff we spoke to at the front desk were friendly and said all the right things. The only problem is they were always so or non-existent when filling out simple requests.

Friendly staff, clean rooms. A little outdated. Felt more like a conference center than hotel resort, however, we would stay again. Close to town.

The Lodge exceeded our expectations -- the entire first floor common area is filled with original American antique furniture and artwork, all open to guests. The public areas are incredibly comfortable and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly -- we always got our needs met, and felt so well taken care of -- best of all, the Lodge is located less than a 5 minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg. I would recommend to anyone -- many guests come back again and again -- I can see why!

Everything is perfect , except charging a self-parking fee USD20/day per car is not reasonable.

Minor details missing: no shower gel had to call front desk for refill, ice machine broken, room door latch malfunctioning, iron in room broken.

The Williamsburg Lodge gave us great service. I would especially like to call out the service of Hannah at the front desk who ensured we got a handicap accessible room for my father.
The food onsite was good both for dinner and breakfast. We had great servers: Ryan and Aretha.
The onsite gift shop was very convenient and had great choices for Williamsburg memorabilia.
Also onsite is a bus stop for the Colonial Williamsburg bus that is handicap accessible. We used this to get around with my dad who used a scooter.
Only one recommendation: the doors are heavy for handicap/those using mobility devices. If the doors can all have working buttons that automatically open the doors, this would be very helpful.
Will come again!

Beautiful property, beautiful area. Really enjoyed our short stay and looking forward to a longer one!

This property is not handicap friendly, very difficult to find a bellhop, not all doors have automatic opening, uneven walkways, both of which make pushing a wheelchair and holding big heavy doors at the same time close to impossible. I brought these issues to the manager and she was very professional and nice but all in all it made our trip very difficult

The only inconvenience was that the pools were located in a separate building. Other than that, the place was beautiful and the staff were superb.

We had a lovely time in Williamsburg, but the hotel choice was a disaster. We arrived and room didn't have the microwave I paid Extra for (ridiculous to charge in the first place) - staff couldn't even figure out how to get it to plug in. Day 2 I wake up, go out in the hall and a giant roach comes running at me in the doorway of my room and I had to kill it. That afternoon we get back from our adventures and there is a major flood in our room - sopping wet carpet at the entry and part of the bathroom, seemed to come through the wall?- we had to relocate. Next room had just minor issues like the curtains were partially missing. The balcony looked down on a courtyard of dead potted magnolia trees. This was absolutely not the high quality experience I paid for. While they did relocate us quickly no one even apologized. Staff was courteous but clearly the management has some major issues and facility was not maintained, certainly not to how highly they think of themselves based on rates. Stay somewhere else, this was unpleasant.

Property was nice, great location and friendly staff. The bedding smelled pretty organic though so I’d recommend washing the comforter or replacing the pillows more often. oddly, there was no entry safety into the lodge. anyone who enters the garage can march right into the hotel through the garage elevator. Made no sense to us given there was a security entry system on all the other doors. The water kept running in the bathroom and I did report to have that repaired, hopefully someone moved on that given it’s a waste of water. It was quiet and pretty clean. Location couldn’t be better!

Great location and well appointed hotel. Prefer to stay next time in Tazewell Hall or another house that had direct elevator access.

Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Pool is gorgeous. Great place for a family.

Beautiful property that is walkable to downtown Williamsburg. The gym is really nice, and the spa seems lovely (I only went through on my way to the gym). My room was nice, and there are sitting areas at regular intervals in the hallways for people to sit and read, etc. The main lobby is beautiful. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and had prompt and extremely polite service.

It was such a beautiful area and beautiful hotel. The shower was a bit odd and there was no fan in the bathroom. The room was awfully dark. I felt $400 a night was a bit steep but it was location location location and the pool was gorgeous, just wow. We had a wonderful time.

I’d love to say all good things about this property, however, a very large and raucous party was in the room that adjoined ours (it was a hospitality suite/king suite). It went on and on until the wee hours of the morning. Despite several calls to the front desk they really did nothing to break it up. Just one time reminding them it was quiet hours. Needless to say we were so exhausted the next day it really ruined our weekend. They never should have put us next to that room which they admitted they knew it was a wedding party event.

Excellent! Clean and beautiful. The pool was great, both an indoor and outdoor pool. Easy walking to Williamsburg. Very clean and well maintained property. Good food options onsite. The beds were soft, the pillows were small.

I stayed in the South Guest House. The hotel was beautiful, the people are friendly, and the resturant is actually very good. The only issue I would have is that in the South Guest House sound carries throughout the rooms. Part of that is because they have beautiful old hardwood floors that creak when people walk. But even the sound of morning alarms and the tv is pretty audible through the walls. If you are a light sleeper, the South Guest House might not be for you. Otherwise it is lovely. The pools and Spa are awesome. The hotel is located in a great area whether you want to drive or walk to local historic buildings or do some shopping.

Love this property! Wonderful staff...everyone is so friendly. Food and bar are excellent. Didn't use other facilities, but everything we experienced was top notch and the best possible location.

The hardwood flooring in the South Building room made the accommodation seem austere. I much preferred a larger room on the second floor of the Tazewell building that I had stayed in one week prior.
As I have a frequent need to return to Williamsburg to attend future meetings of the organization nearby that I belong to I will make sure to request Tazewell. The South Building room was adequate for a short stay of two nights duration. I did not like that hardwood floor.
