This is my seventh trip to this hotel, and it never fails to delight. It is an ‘old school’ hotel with faultless service, attention to detail, and perfect location

A fantastic stay once again. The only disappointment being the building works outside the Brasserie which we weren’t advised of until shortly before our arrival. Staff first class as ever.

Review for Bahia del Duque Hotel
We’ve just returned from another brilliant week at Bahia del Duque with my partner and our ten-year-old daughter. This place never fails to impress. Our first visit was back in 2016, with a group of five, including my stepson and stepdaughter. Even then, it stood out, but somehow it’s got even better.
From the moment you step through the doors, you sense there’s something special about this place. It’s not just about the luxury—it’s the atmosphere, the attention to detail, and, most importantly, the people. The staff here are fantastic. They care about what they do, from the room service team to housekeeping and the management. You can see it in every smile, every greeting, every little extra touch. The traditional Canarian dress they wear adds a unique charm, giving the place a real sense of character.
The food is superb. Each restaurant offers a different experience, but Kensei is the standout if you’re after a fine dining experience. It’s not just about the food, which is delicious, by the way; it’s the whole experience—thoughtfully crafted dishes that look as good as they taste.
The spa is another gem. Two 90-minute massages, and you’re a new person—totally relaxed, completely rejuvenated. The atmosphere there is so calming, just what you need to unwind. And if you’re up for it, there’s always Padel—great fun and a nice way to keep active.
This is a very special place, and worth every penny.

This is the best resort hotel in Spain in my opinion. Fabulous service from all the staff, Ceaser, Victoria, Sarah, in Casas Ducales are all fantastic.
A real asset to the company.
I recommend this hotel to many people because the service is outstanding, facilities are great and location, stunning. Thank you again for a lovely holiday. Jason

Bahia was excellent in all respects. If I have to give one feedback to the hotel that would be about its cats. I didn’t like the idea of freely roaming cats esp in dining areas and in the breakfast area. It doesn’t bode well esp as the rest of hotel is so hygienic.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, the grounds and architecture are stunning, service is outstanding. This hotel is simply the best! Certainly one of the best hotels in Europe in my opinion.
Lovely location opposite a wonderful beach, fabulous swimming pools and beautiful landscaped grounds.
A must stay for any discerning traveler.
The staff are super friendly and efficient and stand out a mile over other hotels in the area.
Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday a truly memorable one. J

Interesting complex of a hotel spread out over a large area with many separate buildings which gave a uniqueness but orientationof getting around was not straightforward, Very hilly. Great grounds and very relaxing good service but could have been more attentive around the pool area.
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel is tired and whilst most of the staff, especially the breakfast staff were excellent the others lacked what is expected of them at a supposedly 5 star hotel.
Very poor cleaning and attention to any kind of detail, failure to follow up on delivering items to room, removal of personal items from room without permission, poor quality and badly cooked and flavourless food are only a few things that came to mind with the worst issues being shutting restaurants when guests were mid meal and failing to clean eg the pool area leaving guests to clean up soiled nappies left by inconsiderate guests by the poolside with other rubbish despite there being rubbish bins only 10 ft away!
We will not be returning.

The property and staff were all 5 ⭐️. The choice of restaurants, spa, live entertainment (included), beach, shopping, the pools, AND an observatory on the grounds make this an excellent choice for couples, families with young children or teenagers, and “golden years” travelers. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel. We were upgraded to a junior suite .
Great location walking distance to local restaurants.
Immaculately clean.
Staff exceptional, from the welcome by reception ( Patrick ) to all other staff.
A little dated in areas eg having to carry a safe key but all adds to the old school charm

This hotel has lost its glory.
Repairs and work going on everywhere.
People everywhere on sunbeds and no system on anything at all.
You have to pay to use the hotels «part» of the beach.
Overcrowded breakfast.
I am a regular on Ritz Carlton Abama and will absolutely recommend this hotel instead.

Wonderful and distinctive property with very, very friendly / helpful staff. Whilst the property has many amenities on offer, it is not too far a walk to outside establishments. The Playa del Duque south beach is right outside the hotel's lower entrance.

A resort full of options, whether you want quiet spa treatments, lounge areas, dining options, a gym workout or entertainment. So many staff that you’ll never have to wait or search out what you need.

As a frequent traveler, I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of my requests, and did so without any hesitation. Their willingness to go the extra mile truly exceeded my expectations.
Two issues need fixing: the rooms’ air conditioning system were noisy and did not cool properly and the room service food was mediocre.

The total experience of staying at the Bahia del Duque was amazing from start to finish. It’s the most beautiful place and the staff are just the best. Can’t wait to return.

Bahia Del Duque and Casa Ducales. I don’t usually do this but I wanted to congratulate the hotel on an excellent holiday and incredible staff. My partner and I are very well travelled. And I have spent 30 years working in the travel industry in various roles. My family and I are not easily pleased and although we travel on holiday 4 to 5 times a year we always go somewhere different. Except for an annual trip to the same hotel in Barbados, we never visit the same hotel twice. After 7 nights we all agreed the hotel and holiday ticked all the boxes for all 3 of us. The hotel should be extremely proud of all their staff. Andrea, Victoria and Ismael and the waiter (sorry I didn’t get his name) at Casa Ducales were incredible.
We had a little problem on arrival as we didn’t like our room. This was easily resolved by very efficient staff.
Great touches at casa ducales. Especially the complimentary drinks and canapés in reception and extra touches in room.
Downside. It’s a shame not all pools are heated (only 1) but from an eco viewpoint this is ok. Disappointed paddle and tennis not included at casa ducales as we played daily but a minor point. Food at beach club and Kensei incredible. Staff, cleanliness, ground and location can’t be beaten.
Thank you.

A fabulous hotel which is aesthetically pleasing and a must stay when visiting Tenerife. Offering a range of swimming pools, excellent friendly service and good quality restaurants at a reasonable price.
I must say, this is my favourite hotel which I have visited many many times and in my opinion, the Best hotel in the Canary Islands and Spain.
Amazing!

This is a beautiful family friendly property. They have many restaurants to choose from along with plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. There is so much to offer in the area within walking distance. It is located in a beautiful upscale neighborhood and only a 10 minute drive from the bustling Playa de Las Americas. Some of the rooms could use an update, but they are clean. I believe the hotel is beginning renovations soon, so hopefully they are planning to update these rooms. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Tenerife.

Bahia del Duque is in a fantastic location in Tenerife and is made up of a series of unique buildings and landscaping. This makes it a great place for walks, both in and out of the hotel grounds. It has a variety of restaurants, all with great food. We found the service mostly great, but on some occasions a little disappointing for a five start hotel. Randomly something would not be cleaned in the room or drinks would not be restocked. Restaurant service was sometimes lacking attention during the evening meals. Staff going about their duties would shout to each other along the corridors, making it not quite the peaceful trip I was hoping for. Three times different staff knocked then immediately entered our room, rather than waiting for a response. These are all small details that we did not feel were worth complaining over and they are arguably about expectations. I would have mentioned them if asked for feedback on checkout but I was not asked.

Weather/ outdoor areas and gardens/ pools/ spa/ gym/ my room all lovely. Outdoor staff particularly attentive.
Restaurants very average. Bright lighting, battery operated candles and missing ambience with pleasant food. Service not quite there. Brasserie much lauded in the literature was a disappointment. There are better restaurants outside the complex. Staff in general in most areas were very friendly and helpful. Our maids went above and beyond and seemed to be working so hard for everyone. Lovely reception staff. Evening cabaret/ entertainment acts were very unsophisticated for the audience present. I cringed at the rubbish they presented us with. However the singers in the piano bar were mostly good and we loved dancing there. Overall a beautiful building in lovely grounds. Nearby amongst others the Mirador coast side restaurant fulfilled the better food and alternative entertainment to a much higher standard. So it’s worth it for the beautiful setting but be prepared to look elsewhere for evening fun.
