The last stop of our half term staycation, had stayed here before in springtime, decided to return to view the autumnal colours…. Didn’t disappoint!!!
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location…. definitely feel relaxed and energised after a visit!
3.6
Food was good and staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were in good order with all necessary facilities.
3.6
Car parking is a little awkward. The info about the restaurant was somewhat lacking. The staff were warm and friendly. The room was small but comfortable. Overall we enjoyed the stay.
3.6
We enjoyed our stay very much, except for one glaring issue…the breakfast buffet was a zoo, guests hoarding food, staff being unfriendly and pushy, no food being stocked in the buffet…the young man at the check in was very nice and felt bad, but the older woman on staff was terribly pushy and abusive. It’s too bad because the hotel is nice and the front desk was responsive. Also, our dinner the first night was absolutely delicious!

Had a good stay. Hotel was a 10 minute walk to all the facilities the town so had a good choice of bars and restaurants. Arrived on the Monday evening and no food was being served as restaurant was closed. No offer of snacks only basic chips from the restaurant.
Room was large and spacious and the hotel is in a very nice spot and we had good views of Ilkley Moor.
The bar and restaurant area lack atmosphere and is not appealing so we didn't eat there.
In all good value for money for the three days

Lovely grounds but toom look a little dim and tired. Charged for parking on hotel grounds which is disappointing
3.6
Nice place in a lovely area just down from ilkley moor. The lady on reception was extremely helpful and also let us check in early. Had Bavette steak for dinner and it was excellent
3.6
First room we were given had the smell of stale urinne.
Only one other room available which was a small dingy room at the rear of the hotel.
We booked a double but didn't even get a double bed. We got a three quarters which was uncomfortable.
Complained to reception but told the manager doesn't work weekends.
Breakfast ok.
All in all, really not what you expect from a hotel in 2024. Paid £122 but worth around £38.
3.6
Quite basic breakfast and staff were not terribly helpful .
Took a while to checkin .
3.6
Very enjoyable stay
3.6
Ideal for what we needed, somewhere reasonably priced & close to where our friends live. The free onsite parking was an added bonus.

Having read several less than complimentary reviews, I have to say this was a first class experience. Many rooms and most of interior are refurbished. Breakfast excellent. Great value for money and will definitely return.
3.6
Terrible menu, nowhere near enough staff, some of whom don't seem to speak English. Not enough tables for dinner, food is Terrible when it does show up. No care or apparent skill in the kitchen. I was served a chilli with raw kidney beans and fish and chips with raw chips. Avoid if you can
3.6
Excellent room.
Only issue was the key card. Seemed to be an issue, was offered an upgrade. But I refused as I couldn’t be bother with the hassle of moving rooms
3.6
Really nice location, easy parking and plenty of it. Would stay again.
3.6
Very clean and good value
3.6
Lots of character. Great for walkers wanting to explore Ilkley Moor.
3.6
Lovely hotel staff and great setting
3.6
Lovely Hotel, great room but distinct lack of staff!
3.6
Fantastic stay, even had an upgraded room

Stayed at the Craiglands on the nights of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was a bit sad to see such a great hotel from years gone by looking so dated. Even so it did not stop us enjoying our stay. All the staff from checking in to checking out were very polite and friendly. The room we had was clean and spacious. The bathroom was roomy with an excellent shower over the bath. New towels were provided daily. Overall an enjoyable 2-night break.
3.6
AVOID!! Where do I begin….30 mins to check in….room absolutely shaking with noise due to disco below…go down to complain and met with screaming guests swearing for same reason…rude manager…and a guest so drunk they were unconscious in the reception area ..all this with 4 children with me! Manager in morning equally as rude

An impressive building. Car park looks to be in the old walled garden. Access signage is limited. Exit is a tight RH turn.
3.6
A little faded with the odd sign of historic water ingress.
But the cost was so low in these troubled times, I can more than forgive them. Very friendly, with more towels than we knew what to do with. Enormous room, huge firm bed and a TV to match. So quiet. Oh, and the Hotel WiFi was very novel - it worked ! Highly recommend.
3.6
Very disappointing. No all-day bar menu even though it is listed online and in the room, breakfast was all diy with cold plates and tea out of a machine by the cup. Room was clean although no way to adjust the heating. En-suite was good.
3.6
Little way out of town, access to hotel from car park not good.
3.6
Lovely :)
3.6
Friendly & helpful staff. Only downside was a generator outsude room. Went off at 9pm & back on at 6am
3.6
Had a lovely break. Only downside was the bed was two singles/twins connected and I kept falling down the middle gap as well as the floorboards creaking all night keeping me up but other than that it was a lovely stay. Also we were disappointed to NOT be informed that the spa was closed and no communication prior to arrival
3.6
No one at check in desk and had to wait quite a while for someone to arrive despite ringing the bell. In the bar had to wait 15 minutes for someone to serve me after ringing the bell three times. Room small but clean. Noisy corridor outside room. Breakfast ran out of hash browns and couldn’t find anyone to ask for more. I think the staff are stretched and often double up on roles.
3.6
Staff are excellent. Disappointed no spa as still advertised as such. Wasn’t happy with breakfast choice not great hot food choice not nice.. area not kept tidy at all so put us off .. Housekeeping left bathroom widow open with blind up
We left it down on going out, on returning a bird had flew into room and wrecked the room our belongings all over floor, lamps knocked down poo all over the bed and floor . No housekeeping in hotel at that time.. so offered an alternative room but up flights of stairs I couldn’t manage not close to a lift. We stayed in our booked room . Reception brought clean bedding but obvious the poor man didn’t know how to change bedding ! So we did ourselves . No body’s fault .. however housekeeping need to close blinds as they obviously are use to the birds flying in rooms, another person had two in their room also .
3.6
We had a lovely stay in an executive king room. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. The hotel is in a great location with the moor’s literally a few minutes walk away and the town centre in easy walking distance.
The hotel bar was very expensive.
3.6
Stayed here Thursday and Friday night, staff were friendly and our room was amazing, huge with a massive stand alone bathtub shower and 2 sinks, there was a dressing room up a few stairs overall a great room, went to book in the spa and thought the price was a bit ott for the size of the pool and the fact i wouldnt even use the steam room or sauna so the lovely receptionist reduced the price so that was great, my only issue was the food at breakfast, typical hotel food and we mentioned the sausages looked raw because they were.. but we were told despite the look they are cooked! The coffee machine isnt worth bothering with as nothing from it was nice, overall dissapointing breakfast but would still reccomend this hotel and definitely go for an executive room especially room 112,

Acceptable

Very tired hotel, also cold in main areas not very inviting.
3.6
Hotel quality not what it used to be. Needs a refurbishment. Staff really friendly, accommodating and flexible. Decent value for money.
3.6
Lovely hotel, very comfortable, friendly staff,
Took granddaughter, 1st trip away, she was very happy and looked for the staff who kept talking to her.
3.6
Checked in online,so that was easy. Enquirer as to breakfast timings at reception, was told 7-10(the restaurant manager was at the desk too)
Arrived next morning for breakfast at 07:10.....very quiet, staff told me "breakfast at 08:00" ....back to my room with my very hungry upset son.
Returned at 08:00 to a reasonable buffet selection.....but no milk anywhere to be found, "we've used more than we anticipated over Xmas, we waiting for a delivery "was the reply to many people's enquiries. So my son and many others couldn't have cereal, nor could anybody have milk in their tea/coffee. Was it beyond the thought process of the staff to buy milk locally before the breakfast service?! Unbelievable amateurish error!
Didn't use pool or spa, nor the Brassiere.
Final comment; I disliked being called "Buddy" by staff...having worked in Hotel and Catering management for 12 years myself, hotel guests were either 'Sir' or 'Madam'....I would never dream of calling a guest 'Buddy'!
3.6
Had a comfortable nights sleep ,lovely comfy bed.
Breakfast leaves something to be desired . It statrs at 7.00 to 10.00 as I went down about 8.30 ish . There was bacon, not cooked enuff for mexas i like mine well done. Suasages were lovely,no complaints there. Eggs only one chouce out scrambled, hash browns tried these and left it as you could have soled your boots with it ,must have been out from the start. No tomatoes, also just manged to get the last of the fruit. Toast was done fresh by me.
3.6
The room was ok, however the hotel was very cold. The temperature outside was 2 deg C and the bedroom heating did not come on until 18.30 and then it didn't warm the room. The lounge was cold the breakfast room was cold, and the staff on reception were wearing fleece jackets a key pointer.
There were many complaints about heating as discussed in the bar so it is obviously a major issue
