Great resort, location, activities (hike, pool, kayak, restaurant). Management could pay more attention to details like only one hanger provided, curtain was not well placed on the rod, clock time was not set up, room was a bit cold in fall, animal spaces seem small at the hobby farm

Awesome staff!

The grounds are lovely and picturesque and the staff are very kind, however I would never stay in their lodge again. Although the beds and pillows were quite comfortable the bathroom toilet seat in our room was not stable as a screw was loose. There is no cell service for an android, only Apple. The landline in our room did not work. We had an urgent situation at home so had to use the front desk phone allowing for no privacy. The staff were very accommodating, even allowing a free long distance call, but it was very inconvenient for them also, as this was the only phone they had to conducte their business. I had to put my family on hold while the receptionist made a reservation.
The dining staff were nice but the food was less than desirable and definitely not worth the price.
An experience in their bungalows may have been very different especially if you bring your own food.

Very pleasant. Very nice room which included grab bar in the shower so safety for elderly and infirm is accommodated. Food is good. Laundry is available. Room had lovely view of river. A few years younger and we would have done the hiking trails.

Overall it was a good stay. I mentioned the first night that there wasn't a phone in my room. Front desk did nothing to fix this. There is no cell service. And when you order take out at the restaurant they call your room. With no phone in room ( I mentioned this already when I went up first time) I walked up to the lodge again to see if my food was ready and it had been sitting there cold for at least 20 minutes. It should of been re made. Other than that everything was great stay.

Good selection of activities, great location, clean and comfortable room, great food. Hiking trail was not fully accessible while we were there due to recent heavy rains, but there was plenty of other things to keep us occupied.

Remote picturesque setting log cabin style rooms
Somewhat dated and rustic nature

Beautiful setting but we were told the trails were not maintained for walking. It could have been the hurricane ? We had an electric fireplace in the room. It was plugged in but we had no means to turn it on and front desk person didn't know how to either. Wait people the the restaurant were all very nice

I loved how the chalet felt like a little cabin in the woods.

Beautiful setting with lots of activities for people of all ages. Lodge rooms have had some upgrades. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Didn't get to try a lot of the food because of kitchen staffing issues but what we had was good.

Everything you need there is there!

Everything in our stay was almost perfect. Very comfortable, quiet and clean. You also have access to 2 hot tubs, a sauna and a pool ( that needs a bit of cleaning ). Would return for a longer stay for sure.

Thoroughly enjoyed this day trip from the city. The vision of the owners is evident, however slow to roll over the hump from the past 2 years. With continued elbow grease and hard work this gem can reach its full potential. We wish you all the best.

All around good. Food on site is overly expensive and 20min away from other dining options

A clean and comfortable chalet, with good heating and AC options. Bed was comfortable with an extra single bed in a loft. Lots of amenities geared toward family outdoor fun.

One of the most unique places in the province and perfect for a relaxing getaway, Just sitting on the balcony with a view of the river makes it worth the trip. Staff continue to be genuinely friendly and are a big part of the overall charm. Food is excellent but we were a bit disappointed that they moved from full table-service breakfast to a "breakfast bar". Miss the blueberry pancakes!

Our room had a lovely balcony view of the beautiful Liscomb River. Very quiet, lots of birds around and river access for our small motorboat. The restaurant had a great menu and well cooked and presented. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly but could use a bit of training.

Stayed in a motel room with a nice balcony. Comfortable and clean. The chalets look nice but were apparently not available. Good service and friendly staff. Jean checked us in and was very friendly, informative and nice. Chester took us on a nice late afternoon boat ride and he was very informative about the area and lodge.

The resort is under new ownership and their hard work is showing. The cabin we were in was clean, modern and comfortable.
Staff was friendly courteous and enthusiastic. We will be back

Isolated location. Stayed in their cottages. They were ok, old but well maintained. Expected 5 star based on price but really 2 star facility. Nice grounds by river. Has a restaurant which was riverside and the food was quite tasty. Staff was fantastic. Breakfast was included with out stay.

Can’t say enough great things about this place and its lovely staff. Great time, great food, stunning setting. Very serene and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and quiet.

Nice area great to get back to nature, would have been a great addition to have a bbq or fire pit access seams only certain cottages had access to fire pits

Pool wasn’t working during our entire stay and there was no notification or compensation. The buffet breakfast was one of the worst I’ve ever had with little to no options. I found this resort compared to other resorts in Nova Scotia to be expensive, somewhat run down in areas and offered very little. The staff were great.

Very tranquil setting. Rooms are old and need updating. Restaurant excellent and staff very good.

We had a terrific weekend stay. The staff were all wonderful and the location is stunning. We hiked the trails, kayaked, went out on a pontoon boat, and enjoyed the view from our balcony. Food was great - especially the blueberry pancakes. Rooms are getting a bit dated but were still clean and comfortable. With some investment from the new owner the property should be even better next season.

Love the location but the quality of soap/ shampoo provided was lower than I would expect.

We live on the North shore so the drive down to the Eastern shore was only 1.5 hours, ideal for an overnight adventure. My wife and I hiked the Liscombe River Trail which starts and ends at the Lodge. It was a fabulous day for a hike and we enjoyed it immensely. We then checked in formally to our room which was spotless and well appointed. We had a drink on the patio overlooking the river before heading in to the dining room for a delicious dinner. COVID-19 preparations were followed in all cases and we felt safe and secure during our entire stay. We highly recommend the Liscombe Lodge!

Great location right on the river, our room had a small veranda overlooking the river. Very comfortable bed. Excellent dinner. I wouldn't recommend the cooked buffet breakfast which was very poor, dry overcooked and not very nice at all, a great disappointment as dinner the night before was very good, I would recommend choosing from the menu instead.
