This hotel is literally in a commercial area quite a way from the downtown. There is a small lobby, and a small library area to sit down and visit with friends, but only seating available for 2-4 people, and 4 would be downright stuffed together! We did not eat the breakfast, but I think it was typical continental. Beds were nice and very nice pillows

Booked on Expedia and tried to cancel 2 weeks in advance. They refused to allow it. Very disappointing. I won’t stay there or book with Expedia

Hotel was older but in good condition. It had a pleasant waterfront view. The free Happy Hour Chowder was really good. It was not really walkable to the area with restaurants and shopping. That, however, made it quiet. Room included a fridge, microwave, coffee service and bathrobes.

We loved our stay. Everything was clean & comfortable. We absolutely loved the pool and the little library. My kids loved getting a book to read for bedtime each night. The chowder was a delicious perk!

The hotel was good, but the lack of onsite parking will make me think next time if I’d want to stay there again. There was no parking spaces available Friday night and I was told to park in the dirty U-Haul lot and had to move my car the next day before 8am. The evening desk person didn’t even acknowledge the inconvenience.

Black Out Curtains do not compete with Outside Stadium Lite for parking - great for parking lot just need a better black out curtain. Room above, guessing a kitchenette, had dogs, back and forth. Water pipes, in the walls from entire hotel? Carpet, do not go barefoot. Otherwise, nice room.

The hotel was fine but the cost was to high for what was provided. I guess part of that can be blamed on me, one night during a 3 day holiday weekend. The location is in an industrial area and to say we had a view was ridiculous. Pretty good breakfast.

We stayed in room 207, which means that the light that is on all day and all night on the awning for the front entrance headed into the front lobby, shines through the windows all night because the curtains/black out curtains are not hung in such a way that can actually keep the light out. So the light shines through the top, the sides, and the bottom of the curtains pretty powerfully. The staff tried to help out by giving me painters' tape and maintenance came after two nights and tried to fix it with some cardboard but none of it worked. Something needs to be done for the window in that room to ensure that future guests can have better sleep during their stay in that room. Otherwise the hotel is great, they have a full breakfast that's included for free, a small but nice pool area, and some lovely amenities in the afternoon like free freshly baked cookies. The area that it is located in isn't very walkable.

Issue with our bathroom toilet not flushing or refilling. Our bathroom smelled mouldy and I think it was the shower curtain. Everything was clean and neat upon arrival. Staff were friendly but when I advised of issues upon check out all I got was a one word “sorry”. Disappointed for how much we paid I expected more.

It am usually not impressed with a hotel. I travel a lot and a hotel is a hotel. The Lloyd hotel proved me wrong. I’ve never been so impressed as I was staying at the Lloyd. The location, quality of the room, staff, and especially the little extra’s they do for the guests. It was truly a memorable stay and we will definitely stay there again. Definitely deserve 5 stars. (The smoked salmon chowder was very tasty)

This was a great stay. Room had a neat view and was clean, a bit narrow, but worked out perfectly for my little family. I liked that it was out of the way, not on a busy street, but within walking distance of the trolley. The chowder in the lobby every afternoon was the best I had on the whole trip.

It's a hidden gem. As other reviewers pointed out you do drive thru a U Haul lot to get to the property, which knowing beforehand made it easy to find. Room was comfortable, walks not super thin like some newer places. Loved the pillows! Highlights: staff, afternoon chowder, view if the bay, easy on/off access from 101.

Only there for the night, but it was a very nice place. Complimentary chowder and cookies offered during check-in. (Chowder was great!) Nice room overlooking bay... sort of... as best it could given distance from water. (We were 3rd floor and I'd recommend 4th and no lower than 3rd.) Really enjoyed the breakfast, although we'd have preferred serving til 10am vis 9:30am. Only strange thing... Our room floor felt uneven and almost squishy below the carpet in several areas. I suspect it is just an old building with uneven floor vs. about to collapse! :)

We had an end room with a great view. Room was comfortable and clean. Only noise issue was we could occasionally hear people walking above us. The hotel is away from down town but really Astoria isn't that big. GPS got us there with no problem, you just need to go through the UHaul lot to the hotel.

We loved the kind staff here. They went out of their way constantly to be sure our entire group felt welcome. WE loved the pool, the hot tub, the food, the welcome, the flexibility, the extra help they provided. It felt so good to have people really care that we had a good time there. Good ol customer service isn't always easy to find and they were great at it! We loved playing the trivia game as well!

River walk runs right behind building, great for walking into town and the little trolley is close to the hotel as well which is awesome to take, highly recommend! Lovely staff, good breakfast, and the highlight for us was the FREE seafood chowder the hotel offered! We will be back!
