It was fine and clean. You could say that it was time to do some renovations and property upkeep. Strange bathroom layout. They had the worst bacon ever and the breakfast was blah.

I have stayed here several times in the past few years. It has everything that is important to me: a decent breakfast, good Wi-fi, good TV, easy parking, clean and quiet, frig and microwave and adequate toiletries. Not the Ritz but I recommend it.

When I left in the morning, there were no outside lights. Had it not been for the flashlight on my phone I probably would have not made it to my car. The person at the front desk upon check in was not very kind. I could barely hear him had to ask him to repeat himself several times. When I got something from the vending machine, my food got stuck. Hotel was clean and quiet. Shower was awesome!

This hotel is near the turnpike, Biddeford, lots of shopping & dining options. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and staff was good.

It was late when I arrived to the hotel but nobody was at the front desk for at least 10 minutes. Guests in the lobby told me that he went to bed! I called 3 hours prior to let them know I was arriving at 11pm and there was no answer. Didn’t even go to a voicemail. I got to the room and it smelled but I let it slide because it was so late. We weren’t going to be there very long and the bed was clean. I Had to leave at 8:30am the next day. I could see some mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. My daughter and I woke up all congested with a headache. The room had tons of mold in it! I couldn’t see it in the dark but could in the morning in the light. It was gross! I took photos and showed the employee at the front desk who wasn’t there again for 5 minutes! He said a manager would call me when they came in. Nobody ever called me! I emailed the hotel. Still no response! I would never stay there again! It was convenient to where I had to be and the room itself was mostly clean but nobody should stay in a room full of mold! I paid $274 on Expedia for the room and they wanted $395 on their website. Ridiculous! Still waiting for my phone call and/or email from the manager.

I was pleased with mostly everything but the front desk was difficult to reach , also had a hard time to regulate the AC it was either to cold or to warm otherwise I would go back if needed a room .

Very nice clean hotel, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, breakfast was good. Only thing is the pool was verrry cold :( The manager Dentson ( i believe that's how is spelled) is awesome, friendly and probably the best hotel customer service person i ever had the chance to deal with. I highly recommend going to this establishment.

If i will go to biddeford next time i will prefer this because biddeford has very limited options to stay. Room’s furniture is little bit old as holiday inn standard and I feel pillow is uncomfortable beside it mattress is good and room was clean and fresh.Front desk clerk is very respectful.

The room had very thin walls the people next too us were very loud till 1:00am and Bobby seemed to care they were disturbing other quests and the breakfast looked good until you tried it the eggs were cold and the bacon was hard as a rock the only good part of the stay was I was able to make coffee that tasted good and that was only after I found someone to fill the empty coffee dispenser the room was clean is the only plus to this stay

Easy check-in , easy access location off highway yet very well hidden and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and hotel breakfast area was clean and had delicious variety of foods hot and cold. The negatives for me were that the couch in our room was very smelly and the air conditioning was too cold in hallways and breakfast area in lobby.

Suppose I had to compare it to an "America's Best Value Hotel" (I did have to) - both are affordable options and chains around the states. The difference between them is night and day. ABV in Bangor was filthy - dead bugs all around the room and bed (thankfully no sign of bed bugs), broken down, and even the patrons we interacted with were threatening. By contrast, Holiday Inn Express was well managed, clean, reasonably well kept. The breakfast was decent enough. Beds were great. Service was excellent. And when the power was knocked out for half the state, the hotel had backup power and most services were still fine. For an affordable option, this one was excellent.

We went to this hotel a first time 2 years agi and it was great. This hotel or at least the room we got now desperately needs renovations. It was very humid, there was a bad smell and there was 50/50 chance the door would not open or close properly. However the bed was confortable and its main quality is its location. Definitely not worth the price.

This was a comfortable hotel that gave us easy access to University of New England for a college tour. It seemed overpriced for the type of hotel room, but it is summer in Maine. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was good -- but crowded at the time we went.

A bit expensive for the value/quality... room keys card always faulty for us and others, staff seemed annoyed eveytime we asked to reset them, very good cleaning services for room, good included breakfast, rules of 10 to 6 silence in room bit strict, VERY POOR lighting in bathroom.

Never anyone at the front desk. I am diabetic and use insulin-no refrigerator in the room. Remote control only worked occasionally. They put me in a handicapped room which was awkward with zero counter space in the bathroom. Very dated.

My only complaint is that my key card never worked the first swipe on my door. It took 5 or 6 swipes each time before it would unlock. Other than that my stay was great.
