Nice place, had an indoor pool, water was cool, hot spa was great. Room has great, beds excellent. Location within walking distance to downtown. They do not have a restaurant but provided a discount at a restaurant up the road which had a wonderful breakfast.

The town is beautiful and the hotel was very nice . The beds and pillows were great. Would definitely stay again

The room was large and had an additional sink/counter right outside the bathroom.
Great location to walk to shopping and the beach.
We would stay again.

Unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel they did not have a reservation. Even though we had a confirmation email, itinerary number and receipt from hotels.com
The front desk agent rudely stated that we should have received an email confirmation from the hotel directly. Not sure how I would know that was the process as that was NOT explained on the hotels.com app.
The hotel was “sold out” and was unable to offer us a room. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with hotels.com they were also unable to find a local hotel room for us.
We drove over 2 hours to attend a family birthday party, which we were late to do the chaos of not having a hotel room and being on the phone with the hotels.com agent.
To say that I am extremely disappointed is an understatement. Thankfully we were not farther away from home!!!

Very walkable to the area. Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Lots of options for dining that were close to the property. Rooms were clean.

Close to village shops, beach and Marginal Way.

Nice property big rooms and clean . Did not
Like the fact that there was no breakfast and
Don’t do the housekeeping with a two night stay . Overall it was pricey for what you get.

This is probably our tenth trip to Ogunquit. This property is impeccably maintained, clean, the staff is professional, the pool is clean, it is walkable to everything, and it is reasonably priced. The JHI provides tremendous value for the cost. It is no wonder there were no vacancies when we were there. My wife and I highly recommend!

An extremely attractive property, very clean and within easy walking distance of downtown Ogunquit, Ogunquit Beach, and The Marginal Way. Extremely reasonably priced for such an attractive and conveniently located property!

Great stay. Everything is clean. Atmosphere of fun loving guests was terrific. We brought our bikes and used them every day.

Website shows photos of breakfast, they quit serving breakfast in 2020. Give you a 20% discount at an inconvenient expensive restaurant. Especially if raining. Not that close to beach either as promoted. Long way to lug beach chairs

Nice, quiet hotel. Second time staying here and the room we were given did not have air conditioning. However staff ended up moving us to another room. The hotel is nice overall and within great walking distance of everything. Pools are clean, good amenities but no microwaves. Price per night is on the higher side but reflects the location more than anything. Staff is very friendly and overall, it's a great hotel to choose for a stay in Ogunquit.

Convenient, clean and friendly staff. The only downside was the beds. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in.

We love it here. Close to the ocean and there are numerous pool and hot tub options.

We stayed for 6 nights with a large group, ranging from 7-10 people, including children, teens and adults. The hotel is clean, quiet in the middle of the night, but can be noisy late-night and early morning if you’re on the first floor and have people walking around upstairs. There was free coffee available all day in the lobby, hot and cold water, ice and a microwave but other than that no little perks. There are no microwaves in the rooms. The two outdoor pools are chilly and could use a few repairs but the kids enjoyed them. The hot tub outside was small but nice. We didn’t use the indoor pool or hot tub.
There are a few routes to walk to the beach from the hotel, ranging from 10-20 minutes, all of which require significant uphill walking on the way back since the hotel is at the top of the hill on Main Street. We managed it with a heavy beach wagon but it was definitely a workout. Beach lots can fill up early (before 9) if you don’t want to walk and parking for the day is $40. There is also a trolley and a golf cart taxi if you don’t mind paying for a ride to the beach ($5/adult, $3/child).
The hotel is also a short walk through town, about ten minutes, to the Marginal Way entrance on Beach Street. The hotel location is very convenient to restaurants and shops and there is also a trolley stop right outside.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book at JH again.

This was the perfect location for us. We were able to walk from the property to Marginal Way, then in the opposite direction we were able to walk to the footbridge beach.
The lobby and room were both clean and neat. Our only disappointment was that we could hear footsteps from the room above us.
We felt the area was safe; however, we were a bit concerned that the door at the side entrance was unlocked from the outside at all times of the day. There appeared to be a key card reader, but no card was required to open the door.

A very nice property and a friendly staff. My only complaint was that the air conditioner in the room was a little noisy

Overall, the facility was spacious and very clean. The indoor pool was lovely, with gracious open hours.
It was a no-frills hotel, which means that they offered no amenities in the hotel in terms of food or drink. Everything you needed to eat or drink needed to be outsourced in the community, which was difficult to do during a summer weekend when everything had extensive wait lists.
Our biggest challenge with the hotel by far was that when we booked, it was advertised as a direct footpath to the beach, and it’s still advertised as that on brochures for plays and on maps. However, we were told (only after inquiring) that they lost direct access to private residences, and you now have to walk to the beach. This walk is quite long with children, about 20-25 mins, or a trolley that comes at a irregular intervals, and costs five dollars per person and three dollars per child for a ride to the beach.
Although the hotel was nice, we would seek closer or more direct access to the beach, which this hotel advertised upon booking but ultimately did not deliver.

It was wonderful! Nice rooms and outdoor space. The folks who work there are super nice.

My booking was made 8months prior
and I edited the reservation 4 week prior to arrival. They updated to a new computer system which caused me to recieve several notices , my reservation had been cancelled then rebooked then had us arriving a day late. Lots of worrying emails and phone calls. The day of our arrival I called and was told “your reservation has been canceled” then “you were supposed to arrive yesterday” I asked for manager Jordan to call me- never recieved. I had to nervously stand at front desk upon check in to remedy situation (ensuring I wasn’t being charged for a extra night and the nightly charge was the fee I was quoted 8months prior) with a manager that was clearly overwhelmed. Understandable if your having a system wide error- but why not take ownership of this? Communication was very poor. Crossing fingers our credit card invoice is accurate.
Front desk staff was great and professional . Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for a moms/daughters getaway. The property itself was nice, good location, and pretty clean. However the customer service at this place is very poor. The second day of our stay when returning from breakfast we were greeted by a family apologizing for being in our room. The front desk gave them keys to our room and after loading their things into our room had noticed our things were in there and something was wrong.Thankfully they were honest people and nothing was stolen or that none of us were in there getting dressed or anything.
The problem was now our room keys didnt work so I went down to the office to let them know we couldnt get into my room because of the error they had made.I was rudely snapped at by a man named Jordan that it was a mistake and handed back by room keys without any type of apology at all.I understand mistakes happen but an apology rather than snapping at me would of been nice after his careless error.I was made to feel like i was annoying him even going back with my room keys that didnt work now.The people that were in the lobby were shaking their heads at how horribly I was treated. If this place improves their customer service I would give it a better review but our experience while we were there because of this issue was horrible.

Landscaping, flower beds, extremely well managed and done.

Jordan the manager was extremely helpful and accommodating after our flight from Philly was canceled and we missed a night of our stay. After renting a car and driving it was so nice to get to the property and have a warm welcome. The inn is the perfect location to walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for making our first night in Maine perfect.

I do realize that Ogunquit is more expensive and I was there on a weekend but it’s pricey for a well maintained older motel on a busy road. This motel was okay. It was only about a 10 minute walk into town and 5 minutes farther to Marginal Way which was quite nice. Other kids looked like they liked the pool which we did not use. It was about a 20 minute walk to the beach.

This hotel is really clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
