Lovely smaller hotel in great location 4th visit to this hotel

The breakfast included has good food choice. The dinner at the rooftop restaurant has good quality food at a reasonable price.

It was a great place. Too bad the Beach access was under construction. Breakfast was awesome.
The only complaint was the noise on the forth floor when the restaurant moves all the bottles (garbage)around 10:00 pm
This is a place I would go back to again.

This was a great hotel for the beaches in this area and for walking along the boardwalk. Price was reasonable for the Faro area. We did not get great beach weather so that was not so good. It was a bit of a walk to get to the old city and the Marina, so we mostly took Ubers. There is not a lot around the hotel and several restaurants close by were closed or not open all the time.
The rooms were nice and big enough. We had a great view of the ocean and beach area. The bed was very comfortable and the heating/cooling system worked great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Room service was very good. The breakfast was good and the main restaurant was very good as we had supper there twice. We did not use the pool or rooftop restaurant as the weather was not warm enough.

We were only there 2 nights at the end of October. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast with lots of options.

We spent a week at the Carvi and found it relaxing. The staff was great, the rooftop restaurant was wonderful, the pool area was fun and the snack bar personnel were outstanding. We had a little difficulty with the air conditioning, but once we figured it out, we were fine.

We thought this place was excellent for the price but do not want to give 5 stars and mislead people to think it is fancy. The location is excellent, the breakfast is good, the rooms are decent. The beach is right there and gorgeous and you can walk for miles on the trail leaving the parking lot. We would stay here again.

Location was great ! Hotel is average could use some updates but it was clean . The restaurant and pool bar staff were great !

Location is perfect as we could walk to beautiful beaches. Room is clean, breakfast is good. We had dinner at the hotel, delicious fresh fish and good Portuguese wine. A 3 star hotel so please do not expect too much services.

We booked this place last minute. For the price it is OKAY. Very clean and basic amenities, I wish I could complain more but it was pretty decent. Super close to a beach, nice rooftop pool with views. I would say the worst thing about the hotel is the breakfast which is made for Brits. Also it’s a bit old… but not rundown somehow. It’s a bit of a stroll from the town but Ubers are sooo cheap that who cares.

We ventured out to several beaches within walking distance. One prettier than the other, you should definitely spend time at the beach at Porto Do Mos. Impeccably safe and super clean.

We loved the location at the beach and right beside the trail head for the amazing cliff hike. We also really enjoyed breakfast at the rooftop restaurant, the views from there were spectacular what a great way to start each day. The rooftop pool and bar was another great amenity, and the water temperature was much warmer than the ocean. Our room was modern and clean although small, but we took advantage of the balcony to have a drink and read.
Our room was on the 4th floor right beside the restaurant/bar and we never heard any noise at night, the sound proof doors in the hallways were very effective.
For us the location was perfect and the walk into the city centre was a great way to get lots of steps in, maybe too far for some but we liked it. Parking was challenging due to the busy public lot but it was free so can’t complain. Lagos is a beautiful city and we would stay at Carvi Beach Hotel again.

Carvi Beach Hotel had great access to Praia Dona Ana beach. We enjoyed our balcony that had a great view of the water, albeit the rooms were a bit small. It was a quick 5 minute ride via uber to quaint Old Town Lagos.

good access to the beach.... just take 110 steps down to the beach and then back to hotel...
However, I was not impressed with customer service like in other places in Protugal....
They had to enter my room when I had sign on the door all the time 'Do not disturb', without asking for my permission. I was pissed off
Room was ok, however it was a first floor and looking at the parking lot, When I asked to change the room because during the booking you dont know what floor are ordering , i was denied.... if i go there again only because the closes beach access in lagos and not far from old town

Love Luca’s rooftop restaurant! So good, amazing views, and friendly staff! The room was very nice and especially love the balcony! So nice to sit outside and enjoy the views.

Carvi was set at a perfect location right above the beach. The room itself was perfect with comfortable beds and balcony and the breakfast was great as well. They allowed us to check in early which was a big plus and provided any assistance needed . The only warning i have is that the access to the beach is through a staircase which may not be ideal for the older crowd. It’s a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beach BUT the only way to access it is through the stairs

Good location to place, heart of the beach

The hotel is literally 1 minute walk from Praia Dona Ana and 25ish minute walk from the old town. The reception staffs were helpful and even gave us a beach umbrella to use when going to the beach. The roof top restaurant has really good food (slightly more expensive than nearby restaurant) but the view is just wow! Overall, will recommend

Great location for visiting the beautiful beaches in the area. Excellent restaurant. Difficult parking as the hotel does not have designated spaces for its guests.

Great hotel that is a 2 minute walk to the beach. The rooftop pool is also a very nice plus. I would definitely stay here again

Really enjoyed our 3 day stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. There were gorgeous views all around. It was a quiet area so sleeping was uninterrupted but it was easy to walk to the old town area for shopping and great food. Would stay again.

Excellent location, very close to the beach and a short drive to the town. The rooftop pool is also very nice.

Staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place . Close proximity to beach and hiking.

The property is a few steps away from the beach and a beautiful boardwalk that goes along the ocean. The pool on site was great, as well as the on site dining by the pool. The restaurant on site was also excellent - the food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and kind. The rooms were clean, and the cleaning staff were very kind and did a great job. The front desk staff were not entirely friendly at any point during our stay and did not feel approachable. Would stay again at this hotel and recommend to others due to the location, cleanliness of rooms, and the on site restaurant.

The location of the hotel was perfect! We were walking distance to two beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants and Old Town Lagos. The pool was nice with a beautiful view. Even though the hotel didn’t have its own parking, we were easily able to park in the free public parking lot across the street. The breakfast buffet was great and also had a lovely view. The room was quite small, but it did have a balcony and it was good enough for two people.

Overall the hotel is nice. However Be aware the hotel doesn’t have a ramp or provide any help in lugging your baggage up a steep set of steps. So if you are on the older side this may be something to keep in mind.
The other thing to be aware of is that the hotel does not provide any Kleenex type tissue in the rooms. Most importantly the hotel does not have outlets that are comfortable with US appliances like phone and hair dryer etc. and adapters are rationed, if available at all.

Close to the beach

The beach is not near the hotel as such. There’s a steep set of steps to get to the beach and out.
I could not go the beach at all which is a shame. I recommend this is specify in the hotel page.

Great beach. 20 minute walk to village. Very comfortable and quiet

Loved getting to be right beside the beach. Beautiful view from hotel restaurant and boardwalk walking trails for exploring further.
A ways from town so you are limited on food/shopping options but able to Uber/Bolt into town for a couple euros.

Hands down to the cleaning ladies/staff, this place was clean and smelling good the entire day! Carlos at the front reseal was very kind and sweet. Ladies at the restaurant during breakfast and by the pool bar were amazing. Had a great stay!
Parking is the only downfall.

Terrible experience hotel is not as pictured. Room was not same as photo, was dirty, lacked proper working AC, had no bedspread, and appeared to have mold in several places in the shower. Shower was dirty when we arrived. Very loud hallways . Hotel didn’t do anything about changing our room or helping us in any way. We checked out early because of all the lack of care we experienced on the first night here- save yourself and do not stay here unless you want a bad vacation.

Staff is always cleaning which is great! Breakfast that is included was excellent.

We stayed in the Junior Deluxe Suite and felt super safe as two young women on vacation!
Firstly - Bogdan and Carlos were INCREDIBLE hotel staff who were super attentive, kind, went out of their way to help us during our stay. Incredible service!
The beach was super accessible, ~20 min walk to Old Town Lagos with a wide range of choices for food, bars, and shopping! Room was immaculate - balcony was HUGE and had slight view of the ocean. Did I mention the beach was a one minute walk away!
Thank you Carvi!!!! ☺️☺️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I'm shocked at the reviews of this hotel. I was traveling alone with my 13 yo daughter, and this was one of the worst hotels ever. It's attached to an abandoned building, and everything is covered in spray paint within a 2 mile radius. Yes, it's on the beach but it was our least favorite beach in Lagos. The walls are paper thin so you're kept awake at night and woken early. Sink wouldn't drain. Mold around drain in bath. Hotel staff not super friendly. Room felt damp. We checked out early. Only nice thing was the breakfast. They wouldn't give us a refund for the nights we didn't stay, but staying in a different hotel was well worth it - saved our trip to Algarve. Definitely do not stay here.

Great location next to the beach.
