Great hostel! Room was quite spacious and everything was kept quite clean. The communnal fridge is quite small and there is only a microwave for cooking. The hostel only takes payment in cash. I missed that memo but the staff were very helpful in pointing me to a nearby atm. There is no in house laundry but there is a self serve laundromat within easy walking distance.

So the contact number on hotels is for a different place I struggled to find it as all the pictures are outdated. Was walking up and down the street trying to find it sat nav saying I was there couldn’t find it so thought to ring the number, the bloke in the number told me the actual address I went there bare in mind it was a 30 minute walk from where I was meant to be staying then as I turned up told me it was wrong hotel. So that didn’t start the trip off well so be careful with that one As I walked into the hostel it was very outdated. There was atmosphere considering it was meant to be a youth hostel When I finally got to my room the room was very over crowded 12 people sharing one bathroom was not pleasant at all. The room felt like a prison. The view from window was just into the roof top. The room wasn’t the cleanest not sure if that was the people staying or the hostel fault. Despite all this it was cheap and fit for purpose to save money the WiFi was amazing very fast This hostel has huge potential as it’s in such a good location If they had lockers in the room instead of trying to fit as many people in the room as possible and have a welcoming lounge area maybe swap the huge dinning table for a pool table and charge but extra for room would be good idea Overall I would book here again if I needed a very cheap hostel in central Amsterdam and didn’t care about the conditions

I am beyond enraged with the customer service due to the lack of compassion and reason. I booked a reservation on Monday June 10, 2hrs later I called to cancel because my plans with my group tour cancelled. Amsterdam was a pre-trip, but since the trip was cancelled I wasn’t going in that area. I spoke with someone late at night, they said they could t access the system. I then called first thing in the morning and buddy was contacting his colleague and was working through it. Because of these calls and no response from your team to speak to a manage I also incurred a long-distance chargers. I am upset with your hostel because your empathy, after calling 2hrs of booking and the next day, is just that hostile. I will not recommend you to anyone.

The location is perfect .. everything you need is near to you in the middle of the city .. it would be a great option if you are planning to discover the night life in Amsterdam .. if a good sleep is one of your priorities this hostel is not for you

They have BED BUGS!! I have pictures of getting bit multiple times on my arm, back, leg & feet. I also took videos of the bed bugs when they woke me up at 3am.

Hello. I am still waiting for my refund. I traveled a great distance and expensive Uber to come to your hostel and once I arrived the gentleman said I was too old so I had to pay again for an Uber to take me somewhere else. We had a few bad roommates. They ruined the experience for us. There was a fight for the window open/closed all night, a creepy man with no teeth who kept offering hard drugs all day and night, and a guy playing full volume tik tok all afternoon and again at 6am. The location was good but don't plan on sleeping.

The hostel is way too expensive for a single bed in 10 person dormitory. It is in middle of the night street so the major problem is the noise in the night (it goes till 5am in the morning) and you will not get proper sleep. There was some kind of pungent smell with the blankets too. But, apparently, the bathroom and toilet were good and clean. The location is ideal. But, the cost is too high and they just provide toast in the name of breakfast. Overall, the place is not worth the price.

24/7 reception desk with luggage store room as no lockers in room Comfy beds but no rail around top bunk so be careful you don’t fall out Breakfast was just slices of break with spreads with tea and coffee. Cosy happy hostel with the hostel cat roaming around :-)

Some of the hostel staff were rude and just gave off bad energy. Others were very nice and helpful. Room was pretty gross. I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels over the years and this one definitely hits the bottom scale for cleanliness all around. They clean maybe every 3rd day or every other day. And it’s a half of a cleaning at best. The shower in room 8 backs up so bad it literally fills the entire bathroom floor with water making it pretty nasty after a couple people is the shower ( definitely bring shower shoes). I wouldn’t recommend more than a night or two here.

This hostel was super hard to find as it is tucked away amongst all the bars and restaurants in Leidseplein but it was such a cool, relaxed place to stay. Right on the doorstep to restaurants, shops and bars and within walking distance to Dam Square, Red Light District and famous attractions like Anne Frank House. I met so many lovely people at this hostel and the staff are so friendly and always happy to have a chat with you! I love that there is a hostel cat and she was nice to sit with in the foyer when you felt like chilling during the day or night. She is super cute! The bathroom was really modern too and I loved the shower!! Would definitely recommend staying here and would not hesitate to stay here again.

First off that had a cat in the hostel and I hate cats. The guy was rude to me I was the first person in the check in area he told me to have a seat and everyone that walked in after me was helped he ended up helping me last I was so angry but I had to smile because I was on vacation! The room (room 12)was horrible it had black mole and the bathroom is terrible set up the shower water goes right into the toilet and sink area the whole room full of water terrible I would never stay there again even though the location was perfect sorry but I whether walk miles to the tourist area then stay there again! Not everyone like animals and have allergic reactions something like that should be online if you have a cat. Because just one piece of cat hair in my eye will have it swollen for days

I paid 3 euro for them to store my bag at reception and it goes missing for hours. Turns out they gave it to another guy thinking it was his, they only had one guy working and he couldn't even get in touch with his boss. Also to get into the building you have to ring the doorbell and hope there's someone there to answer it, also the lock on the bathroom door in room 8 doesn't work.

Over top of a nightclub so was super noisy till 4am every night but wasnt necessarily a bad thing. Very active location. Far from boring. Enjoyed my 5 days there and would recommend it for sure. Just dont expect to sleep much or a big breakfast.

The first receptionist was very nice and efficient, but the second one was the rudest one I've ever met ! Didn't care to turn the lights on and make noise in the dormitory at 2am. When I came down for breakfast he hushed me out and insulted me. I made the tea myself and he then poor it away...
