Nice small and cosy room😊

Hotel worked out great. Grocery store across the street and a lot of other restaurants. Station close by as well. The only real negative is the hotel only has one elevator and having to wait but its not the worse thing.

Very happy with our stay of 10 nights. Very professional and friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

The rooms are too small. I was given a room that hadn’t been cleaned and turned yet. We had to go back down and ask for a new room. The rooms give you no where to set down a suitcase and open it. Suitcases had to be opened on the beds daily. Overpriced imo, there are better hotels near Shibuya which is only a short train ride away. They charge this rate because they’re the only hotel in the area. Pick an Airbnb it’s cheaper and you’ll have more room to live in a space when visiting.

Clean, comfortable, cozy, perfect spot to visit the city

Stairs of Main entrance is difficult to accept as the traveler who has carried large carry bag.
The solution is using the lift by accessing from back side of building.

A bit overpriced for the delapidated condition of hotel.

Great deal. Very convenient.

It was great! The hotel was visibly older but it was still very clean and well maintained. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Property provided all the basic necessities. Its fine to stay here 1 or 2 nights alone or with 1 other person as space is quite small. Otherwise the staff were very professional and kind.

Overall a satisfactory stay

Rooms were quite small and hard to get around in especially with having luggage, but was fine for a one-night stay.
2.5
Rare to find this kind of property in Sancha, with availability and simple and solid service.

The hotel was very conveniently located for our needs, the staff was great, many of them could speak a little English, which was very helpful. The rooms looked a little old, but it was clean.
My biggest complaint are the stairs going up to the front desk. It is very steep, and this is the only way to get your luggage up there.
Exiting the hotel with luggage is much easier as you can catch an elevator all the way down to a back exit only, where our taxi picked us up

The bed was unusually hard, probably due to being an old mattress. Front desk staff are not polite with their words and demeanor.

Stuff are nice, rooms are too small.

It was fine as an overnight hotel for business. Typical small rooms for Tokyo. However, the room was dated and somewhat dingy by area standards.

I really liked the neighborhood + it’s 2 stops on the FT subway line from Shibuya If you’re worried about typhoons or earthquakes the hotel is built like a vertical bunker. Staying in the hotel we hardly noticed the great typhoon or the 5.3 earthquake (a pen rolled down from the desk) while friends staying in Shibuya felt their entire hotel sway and room shake. Breakfast was ok, but there’s a lot better close by (several within 200m). Only real drawbacks are that no one in the staff speaks or understood very much English (we managed with very rudimentary Japanese and pointing at stuff), room was really small and a bit run down. But for this pricerange I will still recommend it.

Living in a unique Japanese hotel. Very nice. Would stay again.

One of the cheapest I could find.. Only 10mins train from Shibuya BUT hotel in a very Japanese style town, old and new.. So many eating and drinking places.. So much more real than a central city location.. So clean and comfortable, rooms adequate in size.. However if coming to this wonderful country, you dont want to spend all day in your room.

Great area and location. Mattress is quite hard but that’s the only area for improvement.

Access for travelers with large heavy suitcases was not immediately obvious when checking in. The front entrance was up a steep flight of stairs. Access could be obtained via back entrance around block but this is not easily seen. Rooms are very small but do contain everything needed. Nice area, lots of eating places nearby and easy access to train station 2 minutes away

Not a tourist neighborhood but convenient location. Nearby department store had restaurants and grocery store in basement with lots of prepared foods for takeout.

Nice hotel, not the most modern or spacious but the room size is typical for Japanese hotels. Loved the area. One of the few places in Tokyo that you don’t hear a lot of English or other foreign languages.

Really like this no frills hotel. Good breakfast, friendly staff speak some English. Very close to the subway. Good price for Tokyo.

The b in Sangenjaya is a great budget option in a fantastic area of Tokyo, only 10 minuets from Shibuya station. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, making up the room everyday.
Checking in and out was seamless and the free coffee in the lobby was surprisingly strong.
So if you want to get lost in the Sangenjaya Triangle and stumble back to a hotel, the b is a great option.
