Was moved to a quiet room as my original room was on the first floor with no curtains in full view of everyone. The aircon didnt work was way too hot and the bathroom sink and door both came away. Informed reception and nothing was done!
5.0 / 10.0
Our stay was ok despite to put us rooms have no air from outside and they transferred to another two rooms with windows faced outside to get fresh air and to breath easily. Staff was very polite, kind and helpful. Just the pillows needed to be looked in again and to replace a firm and comfortable pillows.

We arrived at 12 midnight.
Rooms were not ready.
Waited for over an hour.
They gave wrong rooms to me and my wife and my two sons.
Did not have correct rooms on booking.
They said hotel.com sent wrong reservation.
It was late so we needed rest after long journey.
We were in a very small room with small window for 2 nights before they moved us to our booked delux jetted tub room.
My sons were moved yo there correct room the following morning.
Dinner was really bad.
Long lines. No plates. Long wait. We all got bad stomach from 1st dinner so decide to not have dinner at hotel again.
Really bad food and badly organised.
Breakfast was the same.
Only i had breakfast on 2 occasions and it was very low standard. Coffee etc was very low standard.
My son found some poop on his toilt seat in there new room.
To sum it up. First 3 days was just running around trying to sort rooms out.
Final week was ok when we got our correct rooms.
This is not a 5 star or even 4 star hotel. It should be 3 stars.
I always book with hotel.com and was dissatisfied with this booking???

Waste of money, wish I stayed elsewhere, I chose this hotel because of the name and reputation however the experience lacked all to support the "big name".
A hotel manager (the guy with the big hair and gel) was so unhelpful, he refused to call my taxi service upon checkout, I was struggling to understand them, I asked him to help and he said no, it's not our company?! Wow.
Booked this ages ago, I asked for a room with a nice view, I was placed in a room facing a building, couldn't tell what time of day it was. My request fell on deaf ears.
Asking to change rooms proved impossible, eventually after many requests they did, another awful room, a shower without a door to conceal the water falling out onto the bathroom floor.
Air con in the room smelt like cigarette smoke.
Biggest waste of money, Ramada is such a let down, honestly if you're reading this before booking, don't do it, it's crappy. Keep looking you will find something better, not worth the high costs they charge.

We got the half board reservation. Breakfast was okay just the restaurant was too crowded. But dinners were really disappointing.

First I was given the ugliest small room without a window. After complains and 1 night I got a nicer room. Still not acceptable.

I like to stay in Pera vs Taksim; it’s practically next to Taksim, only 2 minutes walk to Istiqlal street. Lovely hotel. Great breakfast and dinner options. I’ll definitely stay there again.

David

We had several rooms booked, and reconfirmed a day prior to our travel (having seen other poor reviews), but upon arrival at the hotel and after 10-15 mins the reception at first advised we did not have all rooms booked and then said none of the rooms were available due to "natural disaster" The whole party was moved to another hotel for 1 night out of our 3 night stay. No manager was available until the 3rd night to be able to discuss this. On the second day in the hotel restaurant, whereby we had paid for dinner and was supposed to be open from 7pm to 9pm, ran out of food at 8:30pm and all food was taken away. The food situation was resolved on the 3rd day when management took note of our complaint. We were all vegetarian, had forewarned the hotel at the same time as booking and indeed on the morning of the 2nd night when we had to re-check in from the other hotel, yet the restaurant stated they had no idea about our request. Re:the inconvenience of room changes - the manager offered free access to swimming pool and steam room etc, which were included in the hotel stay anyway. One room's bathroom had mould all over the floor, nothing was done about it for the 2nd night, and on the 3rd night the room had to be changed. There were several other patrons at reception area either complaining or asking for rooms to be changed or even reduced to tears.
Overall, the hotel seemed to be overbooked and staff were either stressed or appearing to be disinterested and even swearing.

Everything went wrong. Check in took 2 hours and ended up missing our sight seeing tour. Hotels says, we don’t have reservations. Had to call hotels.com executive several time to get it sorted. Later once the reservation was traced, they provided us standard rooms instead of our booked deluxe jacuzzi rooms and had to struggle another hour to get it sorted. Over all missed a precious day out of my two days stay in Istanbul. Such a waste when you are on a tightly planned holiday.

I have stayed at The Peak numerous times and had an excellent experience although this time the service was not good at all. We had to wait 30 minutes to check in as it was so busy. After we checked in the bellboy took my friend’s luggage to someone else’s room. When she called reception to ask for her luggage the staff hung up on her twice and was so rude. This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel in winter time and unfortunately the hotel turns off the air conditioning which is actually needed and there is only heating. It meant that I was sweating every night. This time my room was next to the lift and I couldn’t get any sleep it was awful. Last time I stayed my friend paid for a room with a hot tub and they gave her a normal room, when she complained to the third party booking company they approached the hotel who lied and told them she did have a hot tub room so she couldn’t even get a refund. I don’t think I will stay again.

I like the possition of this hotel, the crew is friendly. The rooftopbar was closed that was disappointing. Housekeeping took my daughters empty parfumbox from her desk. The hotel is okay but not excellent.

Hotel is clearly undergoing renovation - the hallways were a bit scrappy while they were being fixed up - the rooms however were perfectly comfortable. I had a room with a spa bath and a spa bath on the balcony and it was great!
Would stay here again - would love to see what the hallways are like post-renovation!

It was a bit noisy at night. Disappointed with the service, air conditioners only work on heat or only cold. The hotel's policy is not comfortable at all. We were very hot the first night until they moved the same room only in the middle of the night.

Unfortunately, the temperature of the rooms was not good. I had two different rooms there and one was too cold and another too hot, while one of them was on the street side and too much noise was coming into the room during the night.

I stayed at the Peak hotel years ago and I must say they've really did a good job with the renovations, the lobby is beautiful and glitzy. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and offered drinks while the check in was being done. Unfortunately the room I booked was not available for the first night but I was offered one of three other rooms which I reluctantly accepted, I was offered a complementary dinner for the inconvenience for my family and I. The location is absolutely perfect, just off Istiklal street and close to Taksim square with loads of shops and restaurants around. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly and helpful especially Mohammed at guest relations. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Overall I was very happy with my choice and as a regular visitor to Istanbul I'll definitely return.

We couldnt fully check in, they would not let my girlfriend in because they didnt like the way she was dressed. I briefly went into the room beforehand, there was dirty underwear on the floor and i was appauled. We didnt want to stay and they refused to give the money back to me. Please be careful.

It is average hotel .Not 5 star as they claimed. We were given very small room not what we booked. After Complain we were given little bigger room next day.Rooms are not sound proof so one can not sleep due to loud music till mid nigh from nearby Bar or Disco. They give paper glasses in room.6 night stay only first day they kept soap in bathroom.

The hotel was okay however the noise both inside and out from very early in the morning till very late at night spoilt it somewhat. All the staff we encountered were exceptional, the food at breakfast was excellent unfortunately our room allocated was above the front entrance so i guess this added to the noise. I would stay here again only if allocated a quieter room

The customer service was outstanding. Abdullah on Consierge & Mohamed guest services were fantastic.
There was a mix up with my Driver service from the airport & both staff members & the head of reception compensated me for this inconvenience.
My room was upgraded & I was given free return airport transfer & late check out.
My friends who got married during our stay were treated to a free room upgrade for their wedding night.
Mohamed prepared a beautiful discoubted wedding package for their upgraded room and arranged the surprise for them on my behalf.
The staff at the Peak hotel were accommodating, courteous & very supportive. Their dedication to custom service is far superior to the general standards in Istanbul.
This was my first visit to Turkey & should I ever return I will only stay at The Peak.
I would like to express my gratitude & thanks to all the staff at this hotel & highly recommend this establishment.
In terms of improvements-
The black out blinds require updating & the reception areas need upgrading.
However the premises were very clean & well maintained & the kindness, friendliness & goodwill of the staff more than compensated for any minor shortcomings.
Again highly recommended
