Nice ample room. With a sufficient breakfast menu.

We had no idea that the ice bar would be under construction during our stay. The ice part of the hotel is only open until 6 which also was not told. This leaves very little to no activities to do after 6 in this town during this time of the year. Very sad

Great stay

The entry way to the parking lot is not as appealing but when you walk into the property, you will know that it has been kept clean. The staff is friendly and answered all of our questions. It is a great experience to sleep in an ice room even just for one night! At first, I thought we won't be able to make it for the whole night but we slept soundly like a baby! Now I can tell everyone that I enjoyed being here!

Incredibly unique experience and exactly as expected! Facilities are warm and well cleaned and maintained. Because Kiruna was too warm, the hotel was actually melting when we arrived and so we got a free upgrade to Ice Hotel 365 which was very nice of them.
Unfortunately in the private connected bathroom, the under sink pipe was leaking. Everything else went smoothly. They have 24/7 lobby staff so if you’re having trouble sleeping in the cold, you can sit, relax, and drink free hot lingonberry juice.
Highly recommend booking activities eg Sauna Ritual or Ice Carving. It’s nicely centrally located so we walked to the Sámi Museum as well.

We spent several days at the ice-hotel, in the warm rooms, or rather cabins - they have separate bedrooms, a sitting/TV room, and a small kitchen. The cabin was great. The staff were very friendly, but missed to book a restaurant reservation we had asked for, and we also saw them give very wrong information about upgrade costs to another couple. Of the 3 restaurants owned by the ice-hotel, the expensive "veranda" meal was well worth the cost, really excellent, and a fantastic experience. The adjoining standard restaurant also had very good food. The "homestead" restaurant is some 900m away, and very cosy, but the quality of the food varied from very good (chantarell soup, pizzas) to rather poor (fish soup, venison sausage). The lodge also claimed to serve some food (soup, baggette) but had only crisps and snacks when we tried to eat lunch one day.
Overall we had a very god vacation though, with skiing and viewing of the remarkable ice-sculptures. Even some northern lights (through the clouds).
4.4
Being able to see the Northern Lights.

The stay in the Icehotel was amazing. It's a once in a lifetime experience. We stayed in the artsuite Cabin in the Woods which was so charming. I was also amazed at how warm the sleeping bags provided keep you. I was not cold at all through the night.
4.4
I had an excellent time at the ice hotel !
I stayed in a warm room!
The ice rooms were exceptional to visit
The hotel also allows you to rent all the required clothing, boots and gear required to do any of the outdoor activities, even if not booked through the hotel.
The included breakfast was decent.
My only negative feedback is that I had booked pickup from the airport and had not been on the list. I was offered a half apology and advised I must have "fallen off the list".
I was lucky enough the bus driver was kind enough to let me join the bus as he was headed there anyway.
4.4
Beautiful beyond expectations. Well organized. Limited dining and transportation options given its location but not a issue if mostly staying in and around. Website and booking activities thru' website is very slow and didnt work most of the time. Minor hiccup in airport transfer. There was a pickup person at the airport but he didn't have me on his list despite having pre-booked and paid. But he was kind enough to take me.

Excellent experience

Everything in the hotel was really nice. The staff took really care of us.
Maybe one thing that could step up is the breakfast the day after. Should be more local groceries.
4.4
Disneyland in the Arctic. Beauty everywhere you look. Staff lovely, but churn ‘em and burn em!
Did not expect my entire flight to be going to same hotel. Very busy and people coming and going - which explains the massive hair ball in the entry of my warm room, dirty towels shoved in the closet, hair pins on floor in middle of room, shower nozzle stuck so NO SHOWER until maintenance came to fix.
Staff is absolutely lovely, polished, polite, and willing to help — except for the A hole bartender in the Lounge, named Nandi or Nawaz, or something of the sort. Please note ALL OTHER SERVERS were lovely, accommodating and pleasant. The one bartender clearly didn’t want to be there, didn’t want to serve, threw soggy food on plate and threw your drinks at you. He was a complete ass and I can only imagine Ice Hotel has him back for the season because the Arctic and the elements are quite rough in winter.
Basically, you are a head, and they are doing their best to get you in safely, warmly and with a smile - so can’t fault them for that. It expensive b/c they have to pay a lot of staff to take care of you.
Don’t even ask about cold rooms- ridiculously priced to be cold overnight. Book a warm room and visit the art cold rooms during day - they are truly beautiful, but can’t imagine comfortable at night - unless you need to check that off your bucket list - btw, there is a warm bathroom attached to the room. But you cannot accessuntil 6pm, so don’t plan on lounging in room

The staff here started out really rude and unhelpful, not explaining anything about the hotel or what to do, and ended up so horrible we missed our train. We came in early to have them call a taxi, said they did, and then ended up not calling until 10 minutes we needed to leave, so we missed the train. They were not helpful at all, management was extremely rude as if it was our fault. And help blaming the taxi company. We missed an entire day at our next destination. Beyond that, for the price this place was just not worth it. Really encourage you to skip this place, save the money and the headache, or just buy a pass to see the rooms quick.

Staff was very friendly and helpful especially the bartender at the ice bar.

The Icehotel was incredible. The lounge was beautiful and the games in the lounges were a great touch.

Epic stay!!! Can’t wait to go back. I was a little nervous about how rustic things would be but was blown away at how fabulous the entire property is. Reception area is cozy with friendly staff and a cute little store. Restaurant was yummy (delicious reindeer!) AND THE ICE HOTEL! Truly a sight to behold. Not sure id want to stay in a cold room but they were incredible to walk through during the day. The bar is gorgeous (get a Northern Light shot) and such a treat. My stay in a Kaamos Superior was clean, cozy and delightful. Perfect to come back to after a cold night out looking for Northern Lights. Will def go back!!

All the employees were knowledgeable and courteous, the food was excellent, and the Ice Hotel was magnificent!

I didn't get room i booked(pictures were showing different room)..On top of it our bathroom had cracked bathtab.I asked for room switch (btw the icehotel was totaly empty that day, we were the only guest in vold rooms) ,but the girl at reception said i have to pay extra 200!I already diid pay 1300 for room in your empty hotel .She suggested me a room that 200 dollars cheaper, yet said she would not refund the difference. Well it would be unique experience if you just wouldn't have your unfriendly stuff.

A unique experience!

The positives: food is good
Service is Soviet Era. No smiles or helpful demeanor. A lot of interns.
The hotel itself is not designed well. The actual ice rooms have one electrical outlet, right by the door, far away from the bed. Should you charge your device, there is a high risk the maid will open the door without knocking (this happened) and break something.
The rooms have no tables or surfaces but the bed, and ice. There are zero amenities - no lamps, minibar, slippers, hangers - zero!
The sauna is woefully low in temperature, hardly enough to break into a sweat. Seeing as how everything is separated geographically, this would the perfect place to have bathrobes. Or slippers.
One "MUST" leave all luggage in separate chambers away from the ice hotel. These are not very secure, and accessible from the sides and above. If you are cold in the middle of the night, you could get out of the sleeping bag, walk outside to the reception building, and possibly retrieve another layer of clothing to sleep in. All you get is the one bag.
The dining hall is over a kilometer away. There was no service in the bar. There was not even a way to get a glass of water - there are no cups except for in reception, so if one is thirsty at night you have to go to the toilets and drink from the tap. To have a pee at night you have to open 4 doors and walk in the freezing cold hallway to the communal restrooms - and I had the upscale "Art Suite". I've never been so happy to leave a hotel in my life.

Great stay in a unique hotel.

Good: location, art, experience, bar, bartender and drinks were awesome. Waitress at home stead was really nice
Bad: food. Breakfast had items gone bad, bad staff, unfortunately the reception was very unfriendly. Had people making noise after 11pm outside our room. No cleaning between nights.
Also price was 200$ higher on expedia than at property so we ended up paying more for the stay.
I would not stay there again.
4.4
The cold ice rooms are amazing for 1 night. The warm rooms have nothing special. There is nothing to do around the hotel or in the hotel. Staff do not help you out with anything.

Amazing space, dream world

The ice hotel provided a unique experience in the arctic circle. From the magnificent ice sculptures in the hotel to the beautiful nature all around, this hotel is not one to miss. The northern lights tours offered were convenient and the staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was tasty but the dinner at the homestead was average. The service was slow and the food was over cooked but the atmosphere was very nice. The shuttle from the airport and train station was very nice, however it was very pricey.

We stayed in an ice room and what a fun experience! Its a once in a lifetime opportunity. And don't worry, you’ll be warm the whole time! The staff is very friendly. They do their best to accommodate your wishes. The Ice Bar is fun but there’s also another bar in the reception building that’s cozy. The facilities are very clean and well stocked. We ate at the Home Stead and the Ice Hotel restaurants and both were fantastic. We were able to see the Northern Lights at the hotel too!! Be sure to book any taxis in advance. There’s not a lot of taxis so it’s impossible to hail a taxi. I highly recommend the Ice Hotel
4.4
Dont stay here. Its expensive it and nor worth. Ita far from town so a cab is 100 usd round trip or you are forced to eat in thei restaurant. You cannot bring any foor from outside. Check in to the ice rooms itss till 6 pm and you have to be out at 8/9 am because its a exhibition open to public. Just make the tour which gives you acces to everything ans save yourself 1000 dollar on a one night stay.

It is the incomparable Icehotel. It met and beat every expectation we had for our once in a lifetime vacation. From slow moments lounging in one of the several lounges playing board games, to racing across a frozen lake pulled by a team of happy huskies, to snuggling down on top of a frozen work of art- everything was perfect!
4.4
Bathrooms were filthy all the while we were there. The hotel had inadequate dining facilities to ensure all guests could have dinner. Staff less than helpful.
4.4
The staff was very friendly and the property beautiful and unique. Loved walking the snowy property to view the two different exhibits of ice sculptures. Found the ICEbar to be a fun place to have a unique experience for a drink. But also enjoyed a drink in the regular bar inside as well to warm back up.
4.4
Horrible service as soon as we checked in. We were “welcomed” by a very stuck up young girl who made it a point to mention she was not from the area but from Stockholm. Very frustrating to deal with after a long day of travel. No direction, you kinda had to figure things out for yourself or keep asking for everything. Hate that the property’s amenities are so spread apart esp because of the weather. The overall stay was very underwhelming. We spent so much time in the room because there is zero activities/entertainment on the property. I would not recommend this hotel, instead I would highly recommend the arctic snow igloo hotel in Lapland… the best in every sense!
4.4
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All of the experiences we scheduled were on time and fun! The area is beautiful and there is so much to see and learn.
4.4
The hotel grounds are nice. The restaurant was delicious. But it was a shame that when it’s not in season the area is a little disappointing but would definitely go back during summer or winter
4.4
Great

I was disappointed because it’s how it shows on the internet I thought we were told that the ice hotel had ice outside too but that was not the case .rooms were too expensive for what we got .
4.4
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Great place to stay well worth the experience

Excellent hotel! We stayed for one night only in one of the warm accommodations (Nordic chalet) and it was great. Amazing location, spotless and well equipped cabin and friendly staff. Breakfast was very good, but if you are travelling with a dog know that you are not allowed into the breakfast area with a pet.

This was my favorite part of my recent trip to Sweden. Louise is an asset to the company and made me feel like family during my recent stay. The 365 hotel is beautiful and fun to spend the night in. I was scared at first, but was surprised to discover how comfortable it actually is. For those worried about getting cold, they have sleeping bags that handle the job, but also extra rooms inside of for some reason you find it is not for you. The bar wasn't open during my stay as I was the only guest that night, but I highly recommend staying here. The restaurant is good and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. Thanks again IceHotel!
