I opted for this hotel because it had a pool/hot tub. Both did not have enough water to filer and were dirty (see pictures). The doors to enter the pool did not work (you needed to walk to the front desk, and they had too manually open it). The security doors did not lock, you could walk in and out of the building at all times without using a key. My door key could only be used once (I had to keep going to the front desk asking for a new key x4). Yes, I kept it in the packet so it would not get demagnetized. There were no lights in the back of the building. The restaurant was excellent! We ate there 2 nights in a row. I would go there again just for the meal. I would not stay at this motel again.

Perfect location to visit Fort Ticonderoga.
The pool is small but perfect for a workout after a days touring.
The restaurant was excellent for dinner service very nice.
Breakfast was very substantial.

Very nice people and the restaurant on site was very good and convenient.

Everything was fine but they could have done a better job communicating about a 10% added to the credit card for incidentals. They said it would come off after checkout but it would have been handy to know at checkin.

Our room (117) is outdated and not clean. The carpet had a big stain on it and the furniture from another century. Just needs a makeover.

Loved staff and service. Kind of overpriced booking on Expedia. We could not close the curtains in our room on the ground level and that was a bit problematic. Otherwise clean room and pleasant stay.

Everything is good just the bad a lot noise

Room was great. A/C provided both cooling and heat in the AM AND controlled the humidity. Great water pressure and a shower head that actually worked along with plenty of hot water.
Some bad points. Ice machines were not working but the staff filled them manually from the kitchen. Elevator was also down for a day. Our room was moved to the 1st floor to avoid problems.
Restaurant however was a bust. A nice restaurant if it was properly staffed. Our order was lost and we waited 45 minutes before our meals came, and they were mixed up. Had to send them back and waited another 15 minutes to get an above average meal. But the staff was very nice, and I would go back again.

The smoke detector made a noise all night. We were told the hotel knew about that but still put us in the room.

Alarm clock would not stop going off from 545 every 5 minutes even unplugged and we never set it. Otherwise the room was clean and we slept well. Staff was all friendly and the food was good in the restaurant. Canned Beer was room temperature though.

This facility is conveniently just minutes away from Fort Ticonderoga. It was our "headquarters" for our "invasion" of the Fort. This saved us valuable time to be spent at the Fort.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The check in and check out process was very quick and easy. The "breakfast lady" is a bundle of energy and very accommodating to everyone's needs. We really appreciated her hard work. The breakfast offerings were more than adequate and got our day off to a real good start.
The room was fine and the bed very comfortable. The toiletries that were supplied in the shower were greatly appreciated as one of us "forgot" his shampoo and shower soap.

We got a good night's sleep.

Cleaner and more hospitable and better managed than the vast majority of Ticonderoga and lake George properties…. But expected as such for the HIGH price of the rooms ! It’s a solid 4-4.5 overall Buuuuuuut the next better option is far away and costs Boku Bucks more (for millionaires, in a “castle”). If you’re visiting Fort Ticonderoga OR Star Trek TOS Set Tour there’s NO better place to stay within 40 miles.

Not a lot of choices in Ticonderoga yet this place is an excellent choice. Convenient, shipshape, suites… All good.

Too far from the Fort and lake

I didn’t like the accommodations. We were given a handicapped room. Shower flooded the bathroom; had to get additional towels and mop it up ourselves. Very in-accommodating service.

Nice, clean place. Convenient (by car, at least) to downtown and to a nearby Walmart.

Very clean good maintenance. Price a bit high, I suspect because of no other chains in area. Check in person has a nose ring. That didn’t bother me.

It advertises restaurant on property, but it isn't open Sunday or Monday. Those are the days all the other restaurants in town except for the pizza place are closed. Didn't want to drive 10 miles after a long day's drive.

Expedia is a rip off. Your rate was extremely high and I thought I was getting best rate through you.
Property is old and smells very musty. People be warned; Expedia should NOT be used. Book directly for best rates!

These comments are based on a room cost of $992.00 for 2 nights. The furniture in the living room was quite uncomfortable with sagging and stained cushions. The fireplace was giving off heat amid 90+F temps. The elevator stopped working after we arrived. The air conditioner was a window unit located in the bedroom. We had to keep the curtains drawn open all day to benefit from the cold air because closing the curtains meant covering the air conditioner unit. Since there was no air conditioner in the living room, that area remained somewhat warm.

Would definitely stay again. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Nice breakfast. Clean room and comfortable bed.

The people of Ticonderoga never disappoint! They are the reason we return :) So friendly, accommodating, and helpful! It's my Mom's hometown and we'll keep going back ❤️

Not a bad place. Location is good and it is pretty clean. We had a great view from our room of the mountains and the fireworks over Ticonderoga Village. Very few choices to eat. The continental breakfast was pathetic!

This day was good but very average except for the breakfast. Breakfast was supposed to be till 9 o’clock. We went down at 8 AM and by that time everything was already gone. They did make a sandwiches but no orange juice or many of the other items.and there were a lot of customers that came after us that also had to go through this.
Also, it was very hot so the asphalt in the parking lot was actually sticking to our shoes. The reception and she said oh yeah, we have that problem if Damages your shoes contact best western customer service

A stop on our drive home and to do a Star Trek tour. Hotel is very nice and clean.
The only negative is that we arrived on a Monday and the restaurant isn’t open Mondays ( nor are most locally), making it difficult to eat.
Breakfast was very good and varied choices.
Price was a little high compared to most we have stayed at on our road trip.

Everything was good except the person in the front desk was no really nice when I arrived, I don’t know she say is not room clean and was 8pm!

Room smelled like smoke, room carpet was dirty. The toilet was in the same room as the shower however, it was a tight squeeze, sitting on the toilet there was not much room in the bathroom. The outside grounds were very unkept as well as the building which was filthy and needed to be pressure washed and kept up. I would not recommend this hotel.

Liked that there was a place for dinner right there so we didn't have to go elsewhere to find dinner options.
