Our room was spacious and clean. We are impressed with how comfortable the bed was the layout encouraged relaxation. However, the room’s phone was not working. They did not have breakfast the first morning. The lady said the juice machine was broken. She said that was why she couldn’t make the biscuits and gravy because she was cleaning up juice. the second day the breakfast was dry and it made our stomachs hurt. The coffee was fresh and flavorful.

The check in and checkout process was seamless. The front desk staff was knowledgeable and professional.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty and much better than a continental breakfast offered at other hotels. The hotel is in a good location with lots of shopping available. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was dirty. The couch had a backing ripped off of it. The room smelled like dog urine. Almost got bit by a dog coming out of the elevator. Over all, worst hotel we ever stayed at.

Room was good for the price but it is due for facelift. Bed was not up to par with other Hilton hotels I have stayed at before. Felt safe in the area, close to I64.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. I've generally had very good experiences at Hampton Inn hotels. I'm not expecting anything like the Four Seasons, but I'm also not expecting it to look and feel like a Motel 6 or Super 8.Unfortunately, this Hampton Inn had far too much in common with both of those.
I was actually very impressed with the service. When I walked in, I was greeted by two people who was extremely nice and polite. I also forgot my key card at one point, and one of those people quickly gave me a new one.
The problem with this hotel (at least in my experience from staying there for two nights) is that it looks like it hasn't been updated in 30-40 years. The room I stayed in was small, cramped, and the carpet was very old. The faucet barely worked. The toilet would make loud noises all night long so that I had to close the bathroom door in order to not be woken up. There is virtually no soundproofing, so every noise from the hallway is heard very clearly. The parking lot has a chain-link fence surrounding part of it.
This hotel is owned by Hilton. Hilton is a $54 Billion company. They absolutely have the means to make this hotel look much better, so until that happens I would not recommend staying here.

Evening staff with the exception of the manager on our first night were unprofessional. Folks at the desk overall were unprofessional. We arrived at 8 pm to check in and our room was not only not ready, but the bedding was stripped from the beds and the beds and bath were covered with towels. One of the couch cushions was completely ripped off the bed. Spa was also closed down and pool looked like it was having issues as well. I'd look elsewhere.

Hot tub not working, toilet too low and slow flush. Shower and sinks don't drain! Not a good experience! Would not stay there again.

Broken hot tub broken shower no water no milk at breakfast six dollars for a bag of m and m candies not worth 200 for the night

I loved the friendliness of the late-night desk clerk. I also appreciate the property requiring a human being to provide access to its lobby, due to the hour. I did not, however, appreciate the running toilet, but it didn't run long enough to keep me from returning to my sleep. My overall experience overshadowed that experience by far.

Conveniently located to a large shopping area and restaurants, though is a bit noisy due to being located on a large road and near the interstate.

Facility is outdated and dirty. Smell as soon as you walked in and in the room. Waited 20 minutes to check in as no one at the front desk than the woman arrives with an attitude and did not see my waiting as a problem. This was at 6 pm! Wanted to go elsewhere but every hotel was booked in area

There was a cushion missing from the couch. The carpet was disgusting and left my kids socks black. The pillows were small and awful to sleep on. The bathroom, although seemed to maybe be updated, the shower was very worn, trim was horribly knicked up, missing trim, paint, caulking. Everything was dingy and old looking. I have spent far less to stay at nicer hotels. I expected much more from a Hilton property.

After arriving to our room, we noticed the closet door was broke. We informed staff and they had someone come to our room and fix it within an hour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms weren't the cleanest but they weren't horrible either. We would stay there again.

The hotel and room were great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast could use improvement, the particular morning we were there the milk was frozen and a lot of items were missing.

Lisa at the front desk was delightful! We have stayed here multiple times visiting family and it is pleasant, convenient, clean and safe. We had reservations at WoodSpring Suites, 147 Kempsville Rd., but that place was a complete dump even though it looks nice from the outside! I will not stay anywhere else from now on.

when we arrived in the room there was an obvious odor present that I thought would just go away, thinking it was cleaning agents. I realized what it was that night while trying to sleep. I pulled the covers up to my head and took a smell of the sheets, it was the same smell in the room. The washers and dryers were located beneath our room. the dryers were venting the odor and the air conditioning was carrying the odor into the room and as long as they were running and the air conditioning was going the smell was brought into the room. After 2 days my wif and \i had to leave.

The hot tub was surrounded with caution tape and inoperable which was disappointing. We stayed from Thursday until Sunday, I inquired why our room was not tidied up on Friday and we were told they only do housekeeping every other day. So on Saturday evening we returned to find our room exactly as it had been, the bed had never been made up, the trash cans never emptied, the used towels were piling up. When I went to the desk to inquire about this housekeeping issue, it had been noted in the computer that “customer refused housekeeping service”. This is absolutely untrue, in fact we requested it every day of our visit. We check out in the morning and will have had zero housekeeping services during our $770 stay. Very disappointed.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom toilet was not functioning which was annoying. Although they tried to fix it, it never worked properly.

The side entrance doors were supposed to be locked, but they were not locked during the day.

Staff was not pleasant and we felt ignored when arriving. We were thinking of changing our reservation while being ignored. Not a good location. Several times we heard sirens and woken up to all night. Paint peeling on walls, shower plumbing not attached to the wall, smell of marijuana.

I was in a handicap room. The size of the room was amazing but the shower mechanism and bath mechanism were broken. Water went everywhere when I turned it on Also, the hook on the door was broken.

We stay at this hotel every time we come to Chesapeake and the stay has always been good. This time was different... had to wait too long to check in, at least 15 min... there were two other people waiting in front of me to ne helped - don't know how long they had been waiting. Also had some issues with the room that was to be addressed, but I had to go back that next night and report issue again, which at that time issue was resolved. I have received much better service from them in the past.

Overall, the property was OK my room the bathroom had a slow drain and so did the tub and housekeeping didn’t even bring toilet paper to the room they only empty the trash and Refresh the towels didn’t even change the linens on the bed.

Breakfast buffet is small but still tasted good. Everyday we were there they changed up their egg/sausage choice. Room was clean. Maid service was every other day but you can request your room be cleaned. The hotel itself was clean. Hot tub needs to be repainted as it looks like the paint has been worn/chipped off for some time now.
