Hotel was fine! Lovely people at front desk and I had a nice bagel and coffee in the morning. Decor was generic and bland. Cookie cutter. Also, no stores or food in immediate vicinity. Fine for my purposes for one night at good price.

I had the worst experience here! The rooms are totally unsafe! They had an OXIDIZED NAIL to lock the window and my daughter got hurt! The fridge is full of water so it ruined my food! It’s not possible to lock the bathroom’s door and you have to open with a key EACH TIME you want to use it Not enough light The front desk person told me the breakfast is until 10:30 but she “forgot” to tell me it’s only during weekends so of course We didn’t have breakfast on Monday! (It wasn’t only me) The pool is extremely cold! It’s not possible to use it The sheets and towels are ripped I left the hotel one night before my reservation because of my daughter’s injury! It needs to be addressed I can’t add photos I don’t know why

The size of the rooms was top notch! Huge! The only thing that i was a little mad at was the thermostat was under the air conditioning unit which didnt allow room to cool down to desired temp. Talked to owner and its in the works to move thermostat to other side of room so it will reach desired temp

The stay was comfortable but not perfect. I am still awaiting clarification as far as how much the stay cost. I was quoted an amount and overcharged three times over. The most memorable part of the stay were THE “R” SISTERS!!!! Lord knows they ARE THE MOST HELPFUL AND COMPASSIONATE HUMANS I’ve ever met! 5 stars for both of them!!!!

Staff was super friendly and very helpful! The ladies at the front desk and the lovely lady in the dining hall were very warm and welcoming. Our bathroom was a wee bit run down, the grout in the tiles was coming out and was sharp under our feet. Other than that, this was a great little spot to stay in and we will be back!

I have never been to CT. We went for my daughter’s graduation at Wesleyan. The customer service is 15 out of 10. We were tired from a long trip from the city. The desk person was kind, attentive and attentive. I would stay there again. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

i booked a standard room $200 they gave me an executive $340 and I asked to be moved because I knew this would cost more they claimed they were “booked”even though they’re parking lot was empty except for 3 cars in the lot. Room smelled like stinky feet, furniture is 1980’s and we’re right by the highway so we heard the traffic the entire night. The “pool” is a kiddie pool, not good for swimming laps but okay if you’re traveling with toddlers. Holiday Inn is meant to be an affordable family spot but this stay was not.

the room was outfitted well for 2 adults 2 and young children and we had plenty of room to spread out and extra sitting area w/the couch. the staff was helpful and exceptionally courteous and friendly. the complimentary breakfasts had a great variety of foods (cold ab nd hot) and was very well attended by the staff.

My last time staying at this hotel, I come into the room and there was gummy bears under the bed, the bathroom towel holder was no longer on the wall and all the towels on the floor. The chlorine was so strong in the Pool my kids had red eyes. Then on top of all this I reported the towel holder, the maintenance man walks into the room at 8:45 am the next day while my children were in bed without knocking and proceeds to go into the bathroom to fix the towel holder. There is no communication with staff and maintenance I had to ask the maintenance guy to leave until we left. Needless to say things could’ve went left as I have small children! Very disappointed.

It was fine, clean. Feels a bit dated. The room smelled a bit too much like mothball chemicals. But it was for the family for one night. The young lady working the breakfast table as nice and worked hard keeping it nice.

We’ve stayed at this hotel previously but the overall experience this time was less than par. We booked this hotel since it has an indoor pool. We learned after checking in that the pool was closed for maintenance until further notice. Additionally, my credit card was authorized for an additional amount aside from the $50 incidentals hold. When I inquired about this I was told it was an accident and it would be corrected.

The property itself is fine enough, although it is situated by a fairly busy route. They could use some trash pickup time to cleanup some areas around the lawn but its not horrible. We had issues getting checked in as there was no manager and the desk staff were elsewhere in the hotel for 20 minutes. The kitchen and lobby were clean, however the elevator and our room were relatively dirty. The bed was OK but the bathroom floor and vents were dirty. The room was set to 80 when we arrived and we attempted to turn it to Cool and set it down to 60 but it continued to heat. A lot of stuff in the hotel requires some TLC, the elevator control panel was loose and our bathroom door lock was sticking which caused it to lock from the inside. There arent any USB ports in the room so youd want to bring a AC adapter. The mattress and couch were also old. There isnt /great/ soundproofing between floors, so if you stay I'd recommend staying on the 3rd floor because you can hear footsteps from below. All in all, if the management group that is operating this Holiday Inn Express invested in a deep clean crew to come in and spruce stuff up, as well as cleanup outside, and replace the mattresses and furniture and patch some of the walls from scuffs / settling cracks etc then it would probably be fine. Also, if this location is having staffing issues then in my opinion the franchising / operating group should be subsidizing them with aid.
