Check in staff was very accommodating and the bar tender was awesome! Waiting staff at the restaurant went above and beyond, very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here many times and love this place
8.0 / 10.0
Place was reasonably priced for the location and the cabana we got. Easy to walk downtown and to the marker from the hotel. Pool looks fine and restaurant next door (Hode's) was decent for breakfast and lunch. I wouldn't say this was a memorable facility but it was easy and good for a night or two.

We stayed three nights and were very disappointed in the the photos and marketing. This place is nothing at like what the photos showed. Everything was so run down. Potholes in the parking lot. Dead leaves and poor landscaping. Birds nests above cabin door. Water pressure was like a trickle and one of our two showers never got hot. It was very unsafe. Slippery step in bathroom. And slippery tile floors and step getting into each unit. No washcloths. Food was marginal at best. Lizards in or room. It was gross.

The staff were friendly, pool was great. Loved the bar at the pool. Great drinks and great bartender.

It was pretty good overall. The AC worked very good, clean rooms, fun pool.
We took a early tour at 7am and their restaurant had our pre ordered breakfast ready at 6:30am. Perfect
Grocery store and chiken restaurant across the street.
We stayed at a family cabana ( 2 rooms ), There was a few issues, the hot water was not working in one of the bathrooms, The mini fridge wasn't working in one of the rooms. But since we were a big family sharing 2 rooms we managed, no problem.
Overall I think is agreat stay, beautiful trees and plants in the property, we saw a tucan, hummingbirds, lots of birds and many iguanas.
My girls loved the pool . Would stay again

We stayed here on a family vacation with our kids and their 9 month old child. The resort had a pack and play available as well as fridge and microwave. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helped arrange taxi service to the Mayan ruins and calico jacks for zip lining. There are several dining options within easy walking distance and we felt very safe in the area. Residents of the area are very warm and welcoming. The pool bar was a welcome sight at the end of a busy day.

The location was good and it was nice to have a pool and bar on site. The staff was FANTASTIC! They were very helpful and available.
We had a few power outages but the facility is very much in keeping with that part of Belize.

I booked in January for an April stay. I specifically booked the Casita Verde as we always book with full kitchen if possible plus we knew we were staying at a lodge for four nights following this stay, that had no kitchen so wanted to prepare some food. We arrived and were shown the family room. I immediately went to reception and they acted surprised that we were not happy with our room. Seems the people in the casita verde were there for an extended time yet booked much later than us. I assume they wanted to book a long stay and so they decided to move us.
They gave us some money back and also boiled some eggs for us that we had already purchased. However it was only after the fact that I realized that although we got a little bit of money back, that was the difference between a room that sleeps 6 yet we only needed a room for 2. I should have pushed back and asked for a double room at half the price.
I think this was not very ethical and the fact that they didn’t say sorry and instead blamed it on the fact that I had booked and changed my reservation a couple time but still I had one reservation booked over three months before. They messed up!! They should have admitted it.
Another things that was shocking was that they charge for the hiking on their property. I assumed (wrongly so) that it would be free for people staying there.

Our cottage was wonderful and the bed so comfy! The grounds were beautiful, we were taken away as soon as we arrived. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool was a relief to have and so well maintained. And we loved the butterfly conservatory, we can't remember her name, sorry, but the girl that gave us the tour was so informative and easy to talk to. We will definately be back!

A pretty nice place, however, poor or no Internet service during my entire stay

There was no soap in the bathroom. I received a shock from the hair dryer after when turning it on. The pool was very dirty and crowded.

Midas is a cute little hotel with nice little cabanas, which is where we stayed. Pool and bar were a great way to end a long hot day. Only complaint would be 4 days of cold showers. No hot water. But other than that, it was good.

Disliked the construction noise.

We loved our cabana at Midas. The bed was so comfortable, and the setting in the gardens of the hotel was lovely. It felt closer to a four star hotel.
The staff were friendly and so welcoming. The restaurant on site serves great breakfasts (I’d recommend the Cayo and Huevos Rancheros in particular!)
The pool and bar area made for a great spot to relax, but do feel a little dated and in need of some TLC.
Worth knowing the hotel is right on the edge of town so there is a bit of walking along roads in the heat, but you do have the market and a supermarket very close by.

Needed an early check in, to get ready for a wedding. The staff went above and beyond to get a room ready. Even tho it was last minute. Super friendly as well.

Booked on hotels.com, was given a cabana at the rear of the property. There was junk and garbage around and under the cabana. Definitely not worth the money.

Deluxe king room was big and clean. A little dated. Pool was large but also dated. Great staff. Nice location - easy to either walk into town or get a taxi.

A nice stay. We had the Casita Verde -which is perfect for families -we are 4 adults. Nice having the living room to hang out and the kitchen was fully stocked. Pool and bar pool was nice to have as well. Can walk into town tho at night its dark. Full grocery store right across the street.

Very convenient property for walking into San Ignacio. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable but the property shows its age in quirky plumbing and spotty wifi. The pool is great, large and clean. We would stay there again.

Just loved the quiet, solitude of the little cabin we stayed in. Property is well maintained and tidy. Check in was a breeze. Also very helpful with joining us to a coffee shop that does Lattes, and told us how to get to the Mayan ruins near by.

No shower pressure in one of 2 rooms. Some bathrooms huge, some really small. Cute little cabanas. Nice pool area. Centrally located, but quiet.
10.0 / 10.0
The location is perfect for walking right into town. The market is awesome. Excellent restaurants just down the street (Hode's & Guava Limb were our favorites). New grocery store right across the street with a playground. The grounds are beautiful with huge trees and flowers. We saw toucans, hummingbirds, and agouti everyday. Kids loved the pool. It is clean and refreshing on the hot days and the waterfall with hidden cave is super fun. Great bar with loud music every afternoon, but you can't hear it in the back of the property where the casitas and best rooms are. The rooms in the main building are small but clean and adequate with comfy beds. All of the staff are super friendly and the breakfast and coffee is affordable and awesome! Would stay here again for sure. Good Wifi.

We stayed in cabana 11. It had two double beds and one single. There was absolutely no hanging space for clothes or towels, meaning we had to live out of our cases for 4 days. The shower ran cold, the air con was noisy. The pool area needs a good tidy up. Wifi intermittent. Male bar tender at the pool bar was friendly though

Modest rooms but beautiful grounds and good location to restaurants/shops about a 15 minute walk.

We enjoyed the onsite restaurant and veranda. What a relaxing experience to sit on the veranda and watch the clouds pass by.

Loved this place. The pool was great, staff super friendly and the grounds really cute jungle feel.

I loved my 2 nights at Hotel Midas! When I booked, I didn’t know I was getting a bungalow, but arrived to ding a spacious room and enormous bathroom with double shower! The pool and bar area are relaxed and low-key. Laundry was $10usd and was ready the following afternoon. While the hotel grounds are on the edge of town, it is only a 5 minute walk to the town market, and another couple minutes more to the Burns street area with shops, cafes and restaurants. Service was friendly and helpful and the grounds are lush and well-kept.

This property is a little tired/dated. It seems like they are working on updating. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The kitchen was out of many of the items on the menu. This was fine for the overnight. But would not plan multiple days here.
10.0 / 10.0
Great pool with a waterfall that has a secret area! The location of the hotel was secluded but still convenient. The hotel is fenced in/enclosed so we felt very safe. There are water coolers in the reception area for refill. The bed is soft and comfy. The air conditioner is good and strong but made it a bit too cold at night due to it facing directly at the bed. When we arrived, we had an issue with not having hot water for the shower as well as spotty wifi due to the stormy weather. But, it was fixed promptly. The lamps above our bed did not have light bulbs when we arrived. Unfortunately, because it was late, they were not able to fix that immediately. But the hotel staff was extremely nice and walked all the way to our cabin just to make sure everything was alright. We eventually came to the solution of just unscrewing one of the three lightbulbs from the overhead lighting and putting it into the lamp above the bed. You can tell the hotel is a bit dated with the amenities being a bit weathered (e.g. the mirror had a crack), however, it was still an excellent stay and we had a wonderful time. We saw some cute agoutis on our last day!

The midas was a decent place to stay while in San Ignacio. Wouldnt say its amazing, but parts are cute & the pool area looked nice although I didnt have time to use it. Seemed safe- i walked out in the am to an unmarked security guard sitting in the restaurant area with a machine gun (little intimidating;) We ate at the restaurant on site twice for breakfast & it was pretty good.
