Not where map indicated, much further south. Facilities are worn , but staff is excellent just like the breakfast . Needs better lighting

I stayed one night waiting for a flight connection. From the airport pickup to drop off everything went smoothly with my stay.
The rooms are a bit tired but the bed was comfy and everything was clean.
Reception staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is a good range of dishes, the western and Ethiopian meals I ate were all good.
It was relatively quiet at night (some noise but not too late).
I didn't venture out but the Africa Avenue location is clearly convenient.

This hotel was exactly what I needed. The staff was always ready to do anything necessary to ensure my comfort and well being. The restaurant was very good for free breakfast and room service. Free internet was also appreciated.

Staff seem poorly trained but generally pleasant and helpful. Bedroom adequate and fairly clean, but with signs of poor maintenance. Breakfast rather poor.

I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE IN GENERAL AND THE THE HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND OBLIGING. THE PLACE WAS CLEAN AND SAFE.

I have stayed several times in Addis and this was my most comfortable hotel stay yet. The view from my 5th floor window over the city was beautiful, no buildings to get in the way. I did not have a laptop with me, but the internet connection in the computer room on the ground floor was fast and reliable. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was good. Everything was clean. I plan to stay at this hotel again when I return to Addis.

I booked the Damu Hotel because it was quite close to the airport - and was pleased to see the hotel rep waiting for me when I arrived. The hotel is a small, family-style hotel over six or seven floors. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had good hot water and a powerful shower. The Damu Hotel is just off Bole Rd / Africa Avenue - several mini-supermarkets nearby and many restaurants including Lime Tree on 2 Fl of an unidentified pale green glass building

The hotel has such great comfort and great friendly staff. The meals are really delicious, and I prefered to have my three meals there. I was really satisfied with the serices and will really stay there again next time.

The staff was not very helpful at all, and it was very much overpriced. I feel duped.

My stay in Damu Hotel was disappointing to say the least. Although located on Bole road, it is on the end where there are few cafes and restaurants to go to within walking distance. Internet stopped working after my first night and wasn't fixed for the remainder of my stay (another 5 days) despite promises that it would be working again the next day. The room could do with an upgrade as well - the bed was very hard and the bedside light didn't work. Finally, the complementary breakfast was the poorest I have come across in a long time. The coffee and fresh orange juice were fine but the toast fell apart just when looking at it, the croissants were hard as rock and the scrambled eggs were so dry it made me wonder whether they were cooked the night before rather than that morning. I wouldn't stay at Damu Hotel again.

Staff was very helpful for the most part. Rooms were comfortable. Beautiful view. Good restaurant Great Location. Only problem was barking dog and loud music from neighborhood.

The room facilities were adequate. The room safe failed to operate, but I did not inform the reception staff, or the housekeeping service, because I had no absolute need to use it. The hotel is further from the centre than I had expected, but within easy reach by taxi, when the roads are open. All the hotel staff were very helpful, and eager to serve.

Great location.
Cold showers only.
Comfy bed.
Good food.
Aside from the woman at the reception desk, nice staff.
No internet or working TV in room.
1 out of 4 lights worked.

In general, the staff was kind... the reception, porter, waiters, even the chef! the receptionists were helpful: they were fast, polite and well understanding. Everyday - at the breakfast time from 7 - 10 AM I found the hotel manager salute me and asked about the quality of the food and if I have any comment. the hotel is near to coffee shop and a night club, which make from 8 to 11 a musical NOISE! the hotel also - as hotels.com mentioned - is closed to malls, local markets (24h super market) and restaurants (especially Indian)... if you like walking, you have to wear good shoes: Addis Ababa has up-down streets. I didn't found a high quality scaling City Map at the hotel: hope to provide in the future. But they gave to me the hotel card in local language to show it to the taxi driver in case I got lost. the room was clean and well arranged. they provide a teeth brush and one-use slipper in the bathroom, I had found hot water for shower anytime. it was a TV with 9 channels: 2 local, 7 in English: news, movies, clips.

nice, clean room and bathroom. breakfast is ok and the free internet works pretty well. staff is nice and helpful. only complain is the noise, dogs barking, diesel generators going on at 5am and music til late at night were not the best to get a good night sleep.
3.4
The staff were helpful. The hotel is located mid way between the airport and the city centre. Only a short taxi ride downtown. Only downside was that the beds were extremely hard.
3.4
Everything was fine in the hotel. There were big renovations on the main street, which was inconvenient. I was not able to get into my email during the three days I was there.

Attributed rates according to local standards. As most Ethiopian people, staff is extremelly nice and helpfull.

It's all about expectations! For ethiopia it'sprobably a good hotel, well worn at the edges very friendly staff. a lot of business people there who seemed quiet happy, if you're a visiting tourist and have expectations of European standards you'll be very disappointed.
The thing that did concern me were having booked a free shuttle to the airport for :5:00 with a wake up call at 4:30- neither happened. Going downstairs at 4:55 all the staff were asleep- it could have be grim, missing the plane.I chose the hotel as it had a visa payment. At check out visa machine didn't work and could only get a small amount of cash from the ATM around the corner. The beds were really hard!

A small friendly hotel situated in the Bole district of Addis, Polite and helpful staff, Good security, easy access to for local transport and taxis, and many places to eat out. A very safe and secure location, inexpensive, ideal for first time visitors to Ethiopia.
