Hotel staff were fantastic room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately when I arrived I was told I only had a double bed which was no good. I expressly requested 2 single beds this was no good so my friend had to find other accommodation and it cost me more money. I'm not happy it wasn't hotel's fault they said they can't guarantee this but you can request. I will seriously be grateful if you can rectify this kind of problem I will not be as confident with hotel.com as before and could look at alternatives kind regards Gordon Faulkner.

The place is very plain if you are looking for just to sleep then it’s ok but nothing else (no breakfast, no iron, no hair dryer, no minim fridge, not even a lobby to sit in to do some work and meet up) plain just a bed and a bathroom that’s it
I wouldn’t stay there again
Yes it’s convenient as a location but not if you have a car

On a good side: Very friendly and responsive staff. Room was very clean, bed was good. Location is awesome.
On a bad side: Wi-fi doesn’t exist there. Laundry is declared but not available, it was critical for us when we made the choice.

We like it is convenient for shopping and walkable from the subway.
I did not like the pillow is not individual but shared instead.

I’m not adverse to a smaller room but… the shower stall was barely 2’ square! Getting in and out was a squeeze. Bending over near impossible. If I had been a larger guy there would have been no way to take a shower.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and my stay was good overall. My room was very small, especially the bathroom, and airless (no window).

The location of the hostal was very central to all major attractions. Felt safe at all times.

The cutest place to stay- right in the heart of the city next to lots of shopping and restaurants and metro stops. Clean, easily accessible, nice hosts. Me and my 2 daughters got a room with 3 single beds and a bathroom. The price was great and we loved everything about it.

Excellent location close to Plaza del Sol and Calle de Cadiz for food, including breakfast at Majaderitos Cafe. Friendly staff, very basic rooms, bit still everything I needed. Only downside was that it was quite noisy from the water pipes and people in the corridor.

Extremely small room.
Incredible tine bathroom
Very dirty floor
Bad closing smell so bad
Very and ugly building

Very central place.
We were surprised that they didn’t have the practice only to wash the towels that you throw on the floor when you stay more than 1 night. The should also have a sign for the door saying that you don’t need service.

Hostal is centrally located within walking distance to the main attractions in Madrid. They keep the place fairly tidy. Rooms are small but it is all you need since you will be mainly out and about enjoying what Madrid has to offer. Room pluses are the excellent shower water pressure and comfortable mattresses. Main cons are the noise from downstairs bars and cafeterias but the room windows cancel out most of it though. Overall, i will definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in the middle of the action in Madrid.

My family spent three night at this hostel. It is located in the city center, within walking distance from most attractions. Staff was very kind and polite. Room was small but clean. The only thing I didn’t like was wifi. I strongly recommend this hostel for short stay in Madrid.

Friendly, helpful staff. Hostal located right in the centre of Madrid, but I had a room in the back, so couldn't hear any noise from outside. All in all, for budget accommodation this hostal is very satisfactory.

PROS: Great, awesome location! Gentleman working the desk in the morning was very friendly and helpful. Clean room.
CONS: The woman at the desk at check-in was HORRIBLE. Very rude, unpleasant, unfriendly, NO smile ever. She started my first Madrid experience on a negative note. She made me regret booking at this location. Room was on the small side, especially the bathroom, but for one night was perfect. (The hotel street is not accessible by vehicle. You will have to hand carry luggage down that street. No big deal if it's not raining, whch it was.)

Position is fantastic. Basic, but we knew that when we booked being a hostal. Everything you actually need was there. Clean and tidy, cleaners good. All staff very friendly and helpfull. We enjoyed our stay.

I don't know how to explain everything that is wrong with this hotel, from the rooms to the staff. I will try my best. The room was dirty.
When you check-in, you have the immediate sense that something is wrong. You have to be buzzed in from the first floor, but the staff will often take their sweet time and you, as I was, will be left waiting for ten minutes or longer. You must be buzzed in each, and every time you leave the hotel and wish to reenter.
And then when you enter, the reception will tell you that they want you to send the "official reservation" from your email, even if it were already paid for and even after you show them your ID. The reason for this I found out later is they want to try to access your credit card info to charge you again. This happened to me when they tried to charge my card without me knowing it a second time.
In addition to that, the staff is extremely rude. I know it is a cheap hotel, but if you ask them even a simple question, they will stare at you like you are from another planet and probably won't even listen to you. I had this happen multiple times with the Venezuelan man who was working at reception. He was the rudest man I had ever met in my life.
And also, I had reserved a larger room for quite a bit of money, but they refused to place me in that room and only gave me a smaller one. I ended up taking it as all of the hotels were booked, and I was tired after coming from an international flight. But they didn't refund my money.

The hostel was good for a two star hostel. They change the madrass the last night, much better, but should probaly had been change before. Also, you could here everything from the hall, and also noises from other rooms, be pepare for that.

A very friendly reception with lots of information that helped me to find out options for my stay in Madrid. Quiet and very clean comfortable and centric location
