Friendly staff, spacious room, and close proximity to my business conference. However, my bathroom smelled like mildew and the shower wand didn’t work. The hotel is a bit on the older side than I’m used to, but in a small town like Gilford, it matches the aesthetic. I’ve heard other options aren’t as great, so I will likely end up staying again next year. The staff are very attentive to your needs, though, and I had no other issues with my stay. I would have reported the bathroom issues to them, but I had a tight schedule and it was minor enough that it didn’t really matter to me in the end.

I booked this hotel for me and my family for a local concert. We had plenty of space to hang in the living room and two bedrooms for privacy. Definitely recommend. Was clean and comfortable.

Completed on-line early check-in, but the clerk at the hotel asked me all of the same questions as the on-line check-in, so why should anyone bother to do the on-line early check-in? Also, there are zero charging ports in the room. I would think that a modern hotel room would have at least two charging ports somewhere, especially on or near the work desk. Lots of outlets, but no charging ports. Also, the grab bar in the bathroom is useless because it is in the wrong place. And the bathtub is slippery and does not drain completely, even after 24 hours since use.

Property was very clean & well kept, we were very happy with the condition of our unit and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. The one knock I have is during check in (we were being checked in) &another patron started asking questions of the reception staff, and all 3 felt the need to respond, delaying our check in process, I felt it was an unnecessary delay for us. (I know this is a small detail, but we were in a hurry to get somewhere off site). Other than that incident the entire staff was courteous and helpful.

They didn't put us in the right room type and we had a large party, the rooms they gave us made it very difficult for us all to be in. When I called the front desk, they were unhelpful. The property clearly over sold and bumped us and instead of offering anything or trying to help us they just said sorry we are sold out there is nothing we can do. I have never had a hotel not give me the rooms I booked and then be rude about them making a mistake

Easy check-in and check-out. Convenient location near family members who live in the area. Comfortable, well-appointed room; huge closet; love, love, love the full size refrigerator! Indoor pool; nice music playing in pool area; tiles could use a scrubbing. Good breakfast options. Kudos to the woman who prepared, replenished and monitored the breakfast area; she was pleasant and was there working every day of our six-day stay; hoping people tip her, as well as housekeeping, because she deserves it. Wish housekeeping hadn't tossed a partially-used bar of soap and what was left on the TP roll; seemed a little wasteful. Wherever we stay, we always hang towels to dry and re-use, but it seems they are changed anyway; housekeeping is every other day, which is sufficient. Tub was a little slippery; there is a grab bar, but it doesn't seem to me to be in the best location within the tub area. Pretty quiet in the hotel, considering how many cars were in the parking lot (figured it would be busy and noisy, but it wasn't). We have stayed here before and will definitely be back.

Reserved and paid for a studio with 2 queen beds and at check in was given a studio with 1 king bed with no option to change rooms as the hotel was booked full. Staff blamed Expedia for this 'error" and suggested I book through their web site in the future. Over paid for the room due to NASCAR weekend to begin with and was not provided with what was paid for

My issue was not with this property. They were lovely. My issue is with Expedia. I booked a two Queen bed room and we got a King bed with a pullout couch. When I went back to the front desk they told me "that is because I booked with Expedia and that is what they do." Not sure how that is even legal. Never booking with Expedia again!

I booked through Hotels.com and booked a room with 2 queen beds. When I arrived I was given a room with a king and told my room request from Hotels.com did not come through. My room also had an old cigarette smell.

We "found" this Marriott in February of 2023 and were blown away- as skiers having a Marriott so close to a great ski resort was a total score! This trip we were left a bit disappointed. There was some confusion during check in as to whether I had paid in advance (scheduled through Orbitz). We also had a discrepancy on where our room was located and the manager was unreachable. It felt strange that on a busy holiday weekend there was only one staff member in the entire building! The pool, a main attraction, was broken and unable to be used- again, during a holiday weekend! We love the area & proximity to the highway, but will definitely look elsewhere for our next trip.

Very clean and super comfortable. The room had a small kitchen with a little stove, cups, glassware, coffee maker, nice desk. I enjoyed my stay. The front desk guy that helped me Tuesday night was so nice and classy. Overall excellent.

Great location close to Gunstock during a snowstorm…sadly, my rating is low mainly because the heat failed to work in our room. Unit was blowing cold air and the room temp would only climb when we turned the thermostat off (we were on the top floor). Winter travel with kids shouldn’t include challenges like these…We were offered another room (almost reluctantly) by the front desk staff (but my youngest was already tucked in bed. It was surprising that a newer building in otherwise well maintained condition had HVAC issues. The indoor pool was snack-size and very cold (didn’t feel like the heat was blowing in that room either). 2 families in the pool made it feel a little too busy for a hang. Breakfast on the way out was nice to have and the waffles were like candy! Friendly staff were helping with clearing snow off of cars and shoveling. Definitely plan to come back, and will be more vigilant when checking in to confirm temp control is in working order.

The room did not have much space for the luggage. The hotel looks new in pictures But in reality it needs remodeling. The breakfast was below average for the price of the room. Instant oatmeal was offered instead of steel cut oatmeal, like in other hotels.

Great location ...very comfortable. We will check dog policy next time we book any hotel. We were awakened by a barking dog fatr too early in the morning. When I mentioned this at the desk, the attendee said since they are more of a long term stay place, they allow dogs in all the rooms. We also got on after midnight from a local concert and could have used a bit more sleep. Breakfast was over at nine. Since most of the people there had gone to the concert and came in late, I felt breakfast could have been served s little later. I was underwhelmed with the experience. It didn't feel like a true Marriott atmosphere, just a place to sleep and run.
