Stayed in newer building and they were very well done - had all the modern items you expect in a hotel room and a very nice kitchenette - had great eco features - not luxurious but impressive room for hotel in a national park - plenty of food options - the pizza pub was great - again not luxurious but very good for a national park

Very run down property in Juniper building of this complex. Way too expensive for such an old room. Lamp didn’t work, screen door screeched and room was circa 20 years ago
$300.00 with tax just because there is no competition.

It was nothing like my wife and I thought it would be. It was not a huge Lodge with rooms. The main lodge was a food court, gift shop, restaurants and bathrooms. We had expected to be staying a beautiful lodge with a nice fireplace in the main lobby room. No such luck, nothing but people everywhere, complete chaos!! Not a great birthday stay at all. Arrived in the dark, no good lighting outside to know where to go. There were several builds for rooms. Ours was the farthest from the main lodge. nothing about it felt like a lodge. It was like staying in a hotel.. Not worth the extra money to stay here.

Lovely accommodations for 4 days of hiking. Nice balcony for relaxing, and tasty food available. Very friendly staff😀
4.3
Great to stay in the park - convenient to shuttle and enjoyed onsite restaurant and gift shop.
4.3
Loved staying here! Easy walk to rim and to catch the bus. Would definitely stay here again! We got to see deer walking through the Lodge parking area as well as elk walking in the near by woods.
4.3
Building work to the rear of our room, room was adequate although the A/C made a dreadful noise.
Breakfast was expensive, cold. There was no coffee or creamer, although eventually the coffee situation was resolved the staff were totally uninterested stating “if there is none there then we don’t have any” Which turned out to be incorrect.
It is as if they don’t need to care because of the location.
4.3
Family stayed in 2 rooms we were thrilled to be in the park. However the rooms were dated and smelly not up dated for many years.
4.3
It was a good stay. The best part is the location. It's inside the part very close to cafeteria and shuttle. This makes it very convenient. Only suggestion I have is improvement in the room, it's a little dated.
4.3
When we arrived they could not find our reservation. Not sure if it was a glitch on the part of Hotels.com or Maswick Lodge. After some time of waiting, (we did have to change our dinner reservation to a later time because of the mixup), they found our information. For the inconvenience it caused us they did upgrade our room.

Just had an excellent stay here. Highly recommend. We stayed as a family in the Shasta Building. The room appeared relatively new, and in excellent condition. The beds were large and really comfortable and everything was spotless. The kitchenette was just what we needed. The dining area had something for everyone and was reasonably priced. Really excellent.

This was a really nice place to stay. Rooms were very convenient to the main facility were they had a food court, offering a variety of food throughout the day and it was reasonably priced. We were also by the blue bus pick up are, which was very convenient, so we did not have to drive anywhere. It was very peaceful, we saw a momma deer and her baby just down the road one night while we were walking. We would definately stay here again.

Very good and comfortable hotel inside the Grand Canyon Park

Great, helpful, flexible staff, good atmosphere

Room 1202 is a disaster. The proximity of the room to the stairwell door means youre consistently woken by the noise of people hitting the push bar to open the door, followed by the door slamming itself closed. Each night I stayed I got terrible sleep.
Aside from the late night noise, everything else really was good. The room size is surprisingly large, the balcony was a nice touch, the food is what you would expect for a food court but the entire village had good food options overall.
4.3
This property is adjacent to two other properties within the park. Food choices were better at the other resort. Once we acclimated ourselves to the location it was easier to get around. The resorts do offer a shuttle service to take you to certain lookout points within the park
4.3
Very nice place to stay. All thou if i could change something it would change the price of things. I thought the price of food was high and so were the prices of guided tours. I also think it should be explained better about the bus system the guild how the free ones work and where they stop better.
4.3
The location was great but the room was very basic and floor filthy. The beds uncomfortable and air conditioning ineffective. I would try find somewhere else to stay when next at the Grand Canyon.
4.3
Wasn’t that exceptional
4.3
Great location and easy for the Shuttle bus to Hermits Rest. Room was very average. Poorly lit, very old bathroom and bedroom furniture. Functional but basic.
4.3
Check-in front desk staff not attentive. Requested quiet room. Received room with noise all around and door at end of hallway slamming closed multiple times (10 ) late at night and early in the morning (also 10 times). Did not get a good nights sleep for 3-nights. Definitely impacted energy to enjoy and hike Grand Canyon. :-(
4.3
Convently located, central loation. Very close to the main hiking areas and the free shuttle to all the hiking trails in the South Rim
4.3
I think the hotel's location is very good. You can walk from the beginning of the red route (transfer from blue to red) in about 5-10 minutes. The location is convenient, and the parking is easy.
The hotel is very new and modern, way better than many national park hotels we have stayed at. There is a water fountain and an ice machine in the building.
The staff are very nice.
There is a café at the reception where you can get food.
We made the last min decision to stay in the park: I would say it’s a good stay in the Grand Canyon.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION, that is why you stay here, nuff said.

I would stay here again.

Uniquely located inside the park
4.3
Beautiful place close to Grand Canyon. Nothing fancy but perfect for lodge setting.
4.3
quiet definitely, but took a little bit more time to find out the right parking place for 1st time visitor
4.3
Excellent area to take all the shuttles
4.3
Beautiful views, deer outside, 5-min walk to gorgeous Grand Canyon views! Room looked much older than it did in photos, very poorly lit, tv didn't work properly (fuzzy screen) and internet service wasn't working. The hotel said the weather was at fault. Kinda frustrating after a long travel day for us. But the proximity to the gorgeous views helped make up for it.
4.3
Fans were super dirty and AC barely worked. We managed to deal w it. Location is great and make up for all the deficiencies
4.3
Very close proximity to the canyon, 5 min walk. Everyone helpful. Lodge is very eco-friendly with water conservation, recycling and energy efficiency. Healthy food options in the dining hall.
4.3
We stayed with our two teenage grandchildren.
We had to 2 beds and a cot. It was more spacious than expected. Loved the little porch to sit on and watch the deer.
The rim was a very easy walking distance. The shuttle to take around the rim was also very close.
We ate breakfast twice at the Lodge.
Had dinner at the Bright Angel Lodge. Also very good.
4.3
Great size rooms and bathrooms! We even had a rollaway bed in our room and it was fine! Walkable to the lodge, quiet and easy to get to!
4.3
Pretty straightforward and plain no frills stay -

If you are visiting the Grand Canyon this is one of the best places to stay, it felt like camping, it is not a fancy stay by any means, but so worth it to be able to just walk to the canyon.
4.3
This trip was a first Gallivanting with Grandma. We took this trip for several reasons. To experience and see the Canyon. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. Second was to give my grandchildren a memory for their lives of a fun time. We started a journal we hope to add to next year. We ate at several venues. Was it the best, no but adequate for the volume of people that visit. A couple things we did was hiked, Mike ride the rim and took the sunset tour. All were perfect.
4.3
An older facility but comfortable for a girls trip. Great location to the Grand Canyon and an easy walk. Close to a food court for breakfast, Lunch and dinner. We enjoyed our room.
4.3
Nice place and great for hiking western rim.
The mattresses are awful. Feels like plastic inside.
