This hotel was located as close to old quebec as you can get. We were 300 yards away from the iconic Fairmont hotel and lots of restaurant options. Parking was in a parking garage at 20 per night. no elevator but we didnt need one. Only draw back was for our room we had a shared bathroom and in the morning there was a bit of a waiting but not long. The price was on point but the location was the best thing. def recommend if you need budget friendly option and are not picky.

Clean and comfortable room. Wood or composite floors in rooms so no carpet odors. Excellent location. Carpets in common areas shabby but didn’t affect our stay.

This was exactly what I was looking for in Old Quebec City. Not a sterile, cookie-cutter franchise inconveniently located away from this historical area. There are concessions to be made however. No elevators combined with narrow, winding stairs make for hauling heavy luggage difficult. Don't expect staff to assist either. This property, while clean, needed painting in the public areas and some carpet replacement. These are not deal breakers for me because the cost was exceptional for the location. Highly recommended if luggage is not going to be a problem. AND exellent restaurants close by.

Very well located. Small room needing updating. Old building. Friendly staff.

The rooms and shared bathroom were very clean. The building itself inside (carpets etc.) defnitely need some work. The 'free ice' was a couple of small ice trays on the top shelf of the communal fridge! And we had to request paper cups for our instant coffee. BUT the location is perfect, right on the main drag to the Chateau Frontenac. And the (paid) parking is just across the street. I would stay there again for the convenience.

Nice little Hotel with narrow stairs and no lift. Shared toilet with many other rooms was inconvenient.

Parking is awkward. There's a parking ramp available for $20 but not really anywhere to stop with a car to get checked in to get the card to use the ramp.

This place was in a perfect location to shopping, siteseeing and friendly staff.

Everything was just right. One felt as though they were at home.

I don’t know where to begin.
We had a fixed price when reserving on Expedia and upon arriving to the motel, 35$ extra were added.
Getting up to the room was an adventure. Many flights of stairs, all crooked, old carpeting, uninviting, it’s only because it’s in the old Quebec area.
For a tiny room and bathroom and one night, 235$ which is ludicrous.
Walls have holes and cracks in them, there was hair on the floor, hot water during the day but none at night.
The bed formed a “v” shape and was super uncomfortable, I don’t know what to say except I’m never going there again.
Oh, they don’t mention that if you have a large car/truck or a burger on top you won’t fit in their parking, good luck finding some afterwards.

Loved this walk up auberge so close to the Chateau Frontenac and all the historic sites. We had a quirky room with a double bed and futon couch bed that was spacious and had good climate control; it also had a private bath which was tiny, but functional. Really had that European feel and was very inexpensive!

The Auberge Saint-Louis is a great hostel in Québec City, located in the Old Québec, within walking distance (400 m) from Chateau Frontenac and other tourist attractions in Québec City
I got a private room with private bathroom, with its own cable TV, many power outlets, big space to store clothes, big bathroom, so instead of a hostel, it was closer to a traditional hotel
Breakfast is not included, however there are plenty of cheap cafés nearby with veey good breakfast options
Improvement areas: some lights in the bathroom did not work properly all the times
In summary, this is a great lodging option in Old Québec

Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Accommodations were basic but, with so many great things to see and do nearby, we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room.

Excellent location. Steps away from all sorts of attractions. Wear comfy shoes!

Location was AMAZING, very walkable, lots of food options right at the doorstep. 5 mins walk to Fairmont Le Chateau Frantenac. 8 mins to the Funiculaire to go down to Petit Champlain.
About property management
Pro: The staff in general were wonderful apart from the issues with checkin / checkout. We were allowed to check in early. And even if rooms are not available yet, they all
Con: Our check in experience was absolutely terrible. Before booking a room with double bed for 3 people, I specifically called in and asked if they will be providing an additional sofa / cot, and they confirmed that they will. After arriving at the property, however, turns out, the room we were in had no room for additional bed. I was charged an additional $20 for switching to a room that did have extra space.
Keep in mind, I was already charged $40 extra for the 3rd person during the original reservation. We had to move with our luggage up and down the stairs to shop around rooms twice to find a room that works.
There was supposed to be daily cleaning done. We stayed for, 2 days, there was no cleaning done.
After check out, I received a call from reception saying they will charge us extra because we left used towels on the small bathroom floor to avoid dirtying the clean ones. The lady used the excuse "the towels were not used for body cleaning. They will need to be thrown out or taken for special cleaning". This makes me question how they 'normally' clean the sheets / towels to begin with.

We had a great time at this place, it was in the core of old Quebec city and everything around was walkable.

Lana on front desk was fabulous

Service is good but the building is kind of too old.

Excellent place to stay in the old city. Highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 days. Will definitely return, staff was friendly and helpfull. Room is small, but very reasonable for the price. Location is absolutely perfect if you want to experience the Old Town Quebec City, everything is close enough to walk. There is no parking, but a big parking garage around the corner for $20 per day. Excellent value for money !

All the staff was wonderful. Lana was a spark of fun and knowledge. She set up a cab reservation for us to get lots of luggage to the airport. We enjoyed talking with her. She is amazing with the clientele.

Will never recommend anybody stay here. Expedia should take it off from the list of places to stay. Very unfriendly staff.

The hotel has such possibilities
we didn't expect anything fancy
with just a little bit of cleaning up and freshening up this hotel could be amazing it is so close to all the tourist areas that's why we chose it
a few things they could do better
First thing they should have coffee with a coffee maker that works and provide cups and utensils. We bought our own.
Second thing, is they should understand how to direct people to get a bus or find the train station instead of just saying go to the tourist information desk.
Third thing we asked where the closest market to buy any snacks or toothpaste and we were told around the corner. They could have simply said exit the hotel take a left then take your first left and it's one block away
Overall, for the price we didn't expect much but simple little things would have made this a much better experience!
Lana was great but we only met her our last night. Keep her employed.

The property is right on the spots. We went to many landmarks places from the spot. Walkable to everything.

Great location; friendly staff

It is a great location and is just steps away from all the tourist attractions. The building is old, and the bathroom is quite small. However, the staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate your needs and respond to your requests. You get what you pay for. It's a nice place to stay if you're looking for something decent at an affordable price. If you're looking for a fancy place to show off on Instagram, this is not for you.

What we like about this one was the location. But we wish the staff was more accommodating especially to english speaking customers

The location is fantastic. We didn’t have our room cleaned the 3 days we were there even after we left the clean room tag out on the door.
The hotel is quaint and be prepared to climb steps to your room. Not designed for anyone with mobility issues.
Overall it was clean tiny and served the purpose

It was such a pleasant stay! Old building, but charming and just what you need if you plan on being out and about exploring during the day. Loved being in the middle of old Quebec and so close to many shops and restaurants :)

Property ok as it’s in a great location. As there are not coffee/tea making facilities in the room they need to make sure there is sufficient supply of coffee, coffee filters, creams, tea, cups etc for the guest to have a drink in the small foyer area.

Right in old Quebec! Quaint little hotel with all the basic needs
4.0
Don't have any service, no breakfast, even they never did daily cleaning for my room.
But the location is Extremely Great! Located at the heat of upper old town, just few steps to the Frontenac. Also surrounded by many restaurants and pubs.
Not bad considering the room price. I can’t asking more.

Great location and value

Good hotel, great location, just some minor issues. Floors and stairs are crooked, and shower is VERY small, not ideal for above 6 feet tall.
