The property was very clean and felt safe. We booked the twin room which was on the top floor, 3 flights of stairs but no problem for us as we are quite fit. Only slight down side were the beds, very hard but clean none the less. Our bathroom was separate across the hallway. Again very clean and did the job nicely. The place was near the station and a 20 minute walk to the city Center. Downhill going, hill coming back. You need to be quite active as everywhere is hilly.

My son,17, and I had a wonderful time at the Dear Porto Guest House. Emelia, Karina, and Sergio were the perfect hosts! The house has tons of character, it’s very clean, and it’s right in the heart of the historic district. Making everything within walking distance. There’s plenty of shopping and dining on this street and nearby. We were on supposed to stay one night, but my son was having such a great time, he asked to stay one more day and they quickly accommodated us. We both look forward to a return and will only stay here! Thank you Emelia, Karina, and Sergio :) 🇵🇹

This hotel was great value for money. Reasonable price, friendly staff, clean, renovated, in an interesting area not far from the centre. Breakfast available for a good price. Would definitely stay again if visiting Porto.

Lovely, clean place, walking distance from Bolhão subway station. So the location is excellent, whether you want to explore on foot or take the subway to venture farther away. Only negative: you have to negotiate a narrow winding staircase with landings. It may be an issue for elderly people but age 64 with a small suitcase and backpack each, we managed fine. Strongly recommend! We’d stay there again.

Hotel itself was excellent. Great staff, clean rooms and convenient location. Biggest complaint is the the wifi was absolutely horrible. Most of the time it did not work at all. Otherwise a great stay.

The property owner, José, was amazingly kind. The room was big and clean, and the hotel is in close proximity to the old town, abd to a Metro station. We would always go back.

Okay place to stay for a few days. A bit difficult to communicate with the front desk staff as they didn’t speak English. Toilet paper did have to go to a bin not into the toilet. Beds and the room were fine for a few days.

The hotel is very good for the price and location is perfect! Beds are a bit hard to sleep on, and there is a lot of noise from the street or from the hallways of the hotel. Maybe windows and doors could be better sound-insulated in the future. Also the bathrooms seriously need an upgrade. But we will not complain too much because of the incredible staff and good location and nice price. :) Thanks Dear Porto. We might come again. And we hope there will be upgrades soon, because we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

The location of this guest house was great, walk to the main area by 15-25mins, Porto is a small nice place so every where can be go on foot. The staff is helpful and good at English, the price worth this. Will be recommend to others.

The hotel is very nice. The price for the room is amazing! Is is on the main street close to shopping street, old town, metro. Everything is in the walking distance. The room was clean but without heating.. Pretty cold at night

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Dear Porto Guest House. Room and bathroom were small, in typical European style. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Price was extremely reasonable for the location. Very clean. Run by a family who were very friendly and helpful. The optional breakfast was good and a good value. We would recommend to travelers who are looking for a good value close to the shopping and sights in Porto!

This place is hard to beat for the price. The staff was all extremely kind and helpful. All major sites were within easy walking distance. Be warned that the bed wasn’t very comfortable, but each room had an AC unit and the people were great, which made up for it for us!

I had a good-sized, nicely decorated room with a small balcony and lots of natural light. It appears to have been recently updated/remodeled, and was sparkling clean. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and the ample breakfast was good it was and convenient to have it right at the hostel. The location is great, central and close to many restaurants and stores, including a mall, and an easy walk to most places. Their is little traffic, since most of the street is pedestrian-only, so a quiet place to stay.
