Very enjoyable over night stay - one small issue with a remote that wouldn't work - but other than that very pleasant. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and room was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished.

Very enjoyable stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely old pub. Warm comfortable room but really quite small and being a very old building not very soundproof.
Great location.

Perfect for our needs especially having it’s own parking in the middle of a busy little town

3rd visit staying here. Perfection from start to finish. The landlord does a wonderful job!.
Check in is very easy with very friendly staff.
The room is spotlessly clean & the bed is super comfortable ( I wish I could've had breakfast in bed!!😆).
Breakfast is plentiful & of a high quality.
Will be back for a 4th time!

Right in the centre of town, a lively spot although our room was quiet. Renovated many times over the years so stairs go up and then down before arriving at the room.
The dinner and breakfast were both excellent.
Our room was fairly compact but fine for a night.

First time at the woolly sheep and it was excellent. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was much better than expected. It was quiet through the night and breakfast was the best hotel food that I have ever had. Not many hotels cater so well for vegetarians. The poached egg was just as it should be. Well done

Great hotel right in the centre of Skipton. Lovely room, very quiet despite being at the front of the hotel.
Well appointed and clean. All staff very good. We ate elsewhere but food looked good.
Excellent breakfast. Parking to rear of hotel. Will definitely return.

Great location …parking a bonus…staff extremely helpful, cheerful and an asset to the hotel. No room fridges, but daily fresh milk supplied in flasks at the bar. The room fan was much appreciated! Thank you for a pleasant break…a full recommendation from us.

Myself and my partner stayed here on Friday 19th July and Saturday 20th. We had an amazing time.
Staff are impeccable and go the extra mile
I have not got one negative word to say.
Do yourself a favour and book a stay, the breakfast choice is outstanding and dining experience fantastic.
Thank you to all that served and helped us, we will definitely return and it will be soon.

Room was excellent for the money, staff were very friendly and facilities were great. Only issue with room being on second floor, and being a warm day, was that it was far too warm during the night to sleep. The fan provided was not adequate enough for how hot it was, which is rare weather in Britain understandably, but it was the only issue with sleeping during our stay. We would definitely return again, probably in the Winter time!

Amazing stay from start to finish. Secure Carpark .staff friendly. The room was beautifully decorated. Great nights sleep. Very clean .tea and coffee facilities in the room. And a full English breakfast before we left. But also opinions of cereal .yogurts, juice, or off the cooked menu .Food in the restaurant was beautiful. Great choice of food .And in the heart of the town we enjoyed the market. Skiptons Sheep Day. Afternoon tea on a canal cruise. And a wonder round the shops .

Another great stay at the Woolly Sheep, will be back.

Nice room, big bed. Nice extra touches i.e. fresh milk provided on arrival, biscuits, still and sparkling water, good selection of tea, coffee, chocolate drinks etc.
Got to give the staff here a big thumbs up, no complaints whatsoever on this front.
We stayed in room 7 and the only two disappointments was the en-suite barthroom, which was very small and the grout around the outside of the shower and the door seals was really grim and needs addressing
We ate in the evening and breakfast, got to say, please change your chef, it was grim.
If I came back to Skipton I would stay here again, but would probably eat elsewhere.

We had a 3 night stay here. The room we stayed in had a table with a basket of teas, instant coffee and cookies. They leave a half pint free voucher. The inn was in a great location, less than 10 minutes walk to the train station. We had dinner on Sunday night, the roast beef dinner was very good. The room was on the smaller size, not a lot of space for 2 people. The bathroom was very small, the rain head shower was not the best for the small space. The room was clean. Breakfast was very good, I suggest the omelette. The 730 breakfast time was great for touring.

Clean and nicely decorated room 3, a single room located on the first floor above the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Great location in the centre of Skipton, very popular so it was quite noisy until closing time. Bring your ear plugs! The bed was a bit firm for me but otherwise the room had decent facilities including TV, free WiFi, kettle, desk etc. The bathroom was small and the shower entrance would be challenging for anyone over a size 16, so I could only wash my hair through the opening using the flexible hose/head.
Dinner was good quality with a misfire on the dessert special - but this was refunded by the manager without me asking.
I liked the voucher for a free half of any draught Taylors beer in the room, along with the flask of fresh milk on arrival.
Breakfast was good and varied too.
Overall good value for money but if you are a light sleeper make sure not to be above the bar.

Location and car parking very good.
Room was very warm……needed a sheet not just a heavy duvet.

A period building with a modern feel. Our room was great, worth every penny.

Great stay in the center of Skipton, ideal base for a good walk, good food, beer, with an excellent atmosphere.
Room was clean, tidy, comfy bed, good shower, & at the quiet end of the pub.
Breakfast is very good, good choice, with no problem with any variation.
Staff were excellent, nothing was any problem, friendly & helpful.

Great place to stay, great friendly staff, breakfast was superb. Room was"compact and bijou" but very comfortable. Shower head could hhave been movable for taller guests but pressure and heat were spot on.

Had a one night stay, the room was small but well decorated. The food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was excellent. Overall a very nice place.

Everything about our stay was perfect, from parking in their private car park to staying in a beautiful bedroom with en suite with bath and shower. The full English breakfast was excellent and the staff throughout were excellent and our little Daschund was impressed too❤️

Quality of food and beer was excellent. Service from staff to begin with was very good, however after the serve of my dinner it was non existent and I tried my best to grab passing staff to order another drink. Eventually I got up and spoke to a member to be told can I wait as they are inputting a dessert order for another table. My room was above the main pub, so noisy until 11pm. I don’t want to appear moany but when you’re paying £95 for the night, you expect more
