Very helpful and friendly staff , our room was at the front near the road but we couldn't hear the traffic , super comfy bed , the hotel bar was well stocked with cask ales on the pumps and were spot on .I really enjoyed the hearty breakfast next morning.
2.5
Room was comfortable. If you love places with charm and character this is the place for you. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The beer in the bar was great. Well served. Conveniently sited in centre of Town. A public car park is situated right behind the Inn at a cost of £5 per day. Free on Sunday. Overall an excellent stay.

As good as ever-excellent standard.

Really comfy bed - had a rare great ‘first night in a hotel’ sleep, breakfast service like being looked after by your Mum, bar has an amazing choice of whisky and nice courtyard - is clearly being invested in. We’d rate it a great choice for staying in the town.
1.5
Room very noisy due to loud creaking floor boards but very loud water system waking me up. Shower is tiny and very cramped with doors shut
4.0
Comfortable, quiet and pleasant

Very helpful staff. We were off to a festival and we were able to put your belongings in the room before we left.

Bedding rough, room baking even with fan, noise from terrace until late. Nice pub hotel

Very friendly traditional hotel in town center. Lovely generous breakfast selection and good bar area.
Stayed many times and will continue to do so.

The owner and staff are so kind and thoughtful. We had a family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

A proper, traditional hotel which is quite quirky in its layout. Staff very attentive and friendly, really comfy bed.

Really helpful and friendly staff. Quaint old building
2.0
Charming coaching inn- very friendly service, especially in the hotel restaurant.
Old building so uneven floors even within bedrooms- creaky floorboards, narrow corridors, weird shaped bedrooms, electric heater to 'top up' the heating in the bedroom. About as far from a soulless hotel chain as you could get, which is all part of it's character and charm.

Lovely hotel, great staff

We have to go there 3-4 times per year and the standard remains consistently good.
3.0
Not the most comfortable bed but a good bathroom and friendly

Lovely place to stay with really friendly staff

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was lovely and our room was great with a lovely comfy four poster bed but the only downside was the very steep steps into the room which were a little treacherous with a very excitable dog but apart from that we had an enjoyable stay.
1.5
Very comfortable place to stay and the staff are great. The Wi-Fi is a let down, sometimes works but most off the time it doesn’t.
2.5
great hotel, lovely little garden area and ambience, breakfast was amazing and the lady in breakfast room was super bright and helpful. I will def be back!

Staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent, slight mix up on rooms which meant we had to share a bed. Would definitely stay here again

This Hotel is stunning! the staff are Happy and are pleased to deal with you! The seated area outside is well kept and is a joy to sit in!
I have read some reviews on the hotel about the hotel not having a mixer tap in the bedroom? Please guys its a Grade II listed building and the the Decor is in keeping with the building! run the tap into the huge beautiful sink and mix it yourself!!
The Breakfast was amazing, clean and fresh.
This will be the new place to stay for us!
100% happy customer!
Thanks to all the staff for being so polite and helpful

Enjoyable as usual

We wanted to stay in a old-fashioned type of accommodation, and this matched our expectations. Our room was big and comfortable, just a bit of noise from the boiler nearby but we didn't mind. Food was good and the place was close enough to where we were headed too. Nice garden outside, and convenient parking (not included in the price). Only downside, the road outside is quite busy, and sort of weakens the peacefulness of the place.

Parking was paid in a car park next door to the Greyhound, although I was able to get it for free with a disabled parking badge and free parking on Sunday.
The Inn was nice, with enormous bed. Full English breakfast was delicious. As we were there to attend a wedding we didn't spend much time in the Inn.
5.0
Lovely traditional English County Inn. Convenient adjacent pay car park. Very comprehensive choice of breakfast goodies to accompany cooked dish included in price of overnight stay.
2.5
Very nice place, lovely rooms, good food. Nice helpful staff
2.0
Lovely hotel, room was comfortable and the courtyard was idyllic. Breakfast was great. Bar is a little dated and the room was a little cold but electric fire and radiator did the trick. Parking was cheap. No real complaints except we thought the bar area could do with updating and making more inviting / cosy.
2.5
As good as always. Friendly staff, good food and perfect for us.
5.0
Quirky old property so you have to dodge the low beams and climb the steep stairs but that forms the whole character! Staff couldn’t be more friendly.
5.0
Characterful and quirky. Friendly and helpful staff, room was comfortable and clean. Food was excellent.
2.0
Friendly staff, nice old building and good beer selection
