Really friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast.
4.6
Very nice, quiet and perfectly located for walking near the Grand Place.

Loved our stay.
4.6
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location, a few minutes from the main station and a few minutes from Grand Place. However our room was at the front of the hotel and it was very loud. I could hear music and people outside until the early hours every night. Also the lifts weren’t working so had to carry baby buggy up stairs.
4.6
Beautiful property and wonderful staff. I think we may have booked a room that just did not suit us so not the hotel’s fault. While the room was gorgeous, it just proved impractical for our use. It was a duplex with semi spiral wooden stairs. The extra three steps in the hallway creaked loudly and the stairs in our room and the floors also creaked very loudly making it difficult not to wake others. The deal breaker is the completely unusable WiFi. I wanted to love this property but I feel that the property is not a good fit for our needs. Love the staff and again, this is a beautiful hotel.

The location was the best thing about this hotel. The service was lacking, not a map or city information was found or shared. Bottled water was supplied but for a fee. The mattresses were terrible, every spring could be felt. On a good note though, they did change our room after I complained about the mattress. Overall, given the amount of hotels available in the Grand Place area, chose another
4.6
The hotel is very charming, centrally located, very clean and hospitable.
4.6
Very close to Grand Palace and Royal Galleries of St Hubert, which is a blessing and a curse. This part of the city is crowded, dirty, and not particularly pleasant. The hotel itself is grand, but dated. Our rooms were in a back building, and on separate floors. WiFi was very slow and made it challenging to work remotely.

Perfect

Location is excellent, right close to main square, close to action, restaurants etc. Cleanliness was as good as it gets. So why two stars? We had booked a junior suite. It did not match what was shown in pictures. It was one full story above where elevator reaches. We had to carry our heavy bags up the steep stairs with no help. The surprise did not end there. When we entered the junior suite, it was at two levels; with flight of six to seven steps between the levels. No handrail to hold on while going up or down the stairs. BTW, the bed was right next to these stairs. If you get up in the middle of night to go to bathroom, there was nothing to prevent a fall on these stairs.
(Also the view of inside of a court was nothing to speak of.)
Well, some of this can be excused due to historic nature of the property. However, two stars are mainly due to rude behavior of the staff, mainly front desk manager.
He bluntly told us, we can leave if we don’t like the room; knowing fully well that last minute hotel changes are not a possibility in a packed tour itinerary.
Front desk also told us many other suits are similar i.e. steep stairs between bedroom and living room. We did not get to check any other suits but this was the staff’s statement.
We felt for the price we paid and 3 night stay, it was a bad deal. If you are older or not able carry your baggage up the steep stairs, don’t book this hotel. There are plenty of modern, high quality options right in the neighborhood.

This is a difficult review to write. Hotel Dixseptieme is lovely. I have only good things to say about the hotel itself. The problem is that central Brussels is anything but lovely. Garbage everywhere. Beggars. Homeless. Not my idea of a vacation spot. Instead of spending two days in Brussels, we hopped on a train and went to Bruges on day 2. The bottom line is that is you need or want to stay in central Brussels, Hotel Dixseptieme is great. But I won't be going back.

Front desk and breakfast personnel were very attentive and helpful.

Fantastic location.
Charming accomodations.
Excellent staff.
4.6
Great room, very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very responsive and willing to help when I had an issue with the ironing board.

Hotel is situated right in the middle of the historic area with easy access to everything. Transit option are a very short walk. Lots of sites, reataurants and shopping in immediate area. Hotel and rooms are very nice and a quiet oasis in the middle of the action. Staff were nice and helpful. I would certainly stay here again

Although the property and our room were very nice, the location was not ideal. The existing staff was excellent, but needed additional help in regard to staffing. The only complaint I would have about the room would the AC…
4.6
This hotel is in excellent location, walking distance to quit a few must go attractions. Watch for stairs where you need to carry your luggages up and down.
4.6
Charming hotel in the old city center, walkable to lots of restaurants, shops and sites of interest. We really enjoyed our stay!
4.6
We couldn’t be happier! It was our first time in Brussels and everything is in a walking distance from the Hotel. Amazing.
4.6
Well located. Poor breakfast for $28. AC made a noise all night and the worse, the staff. Lady at the front desk with very short hair coundt help with suitcases and vey very nasty. Unfortunately for a nice hotel.
4.6
Excellent hotel in the heart of old Brussels. Only a few steps from Central station, so really easy to get to, and 5 minutes walk from the central square and all the sights. Comfortable large rooms and really quiet despite being so central.
4.6
The check-in / check-out process was straightforward. The room was excellent and very clean.
4.6
Great location and a very charming hotel with lovely common areas. An excellent breakfast buffet. All the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Great location, very clean and comfortable, terrific breakfast
4.6
Great spot in the heart of the city. Convenient walking to many of the must see spots. Lots of dining options nearby.
4.6
Up market hotel room lovely but had ti access through outside patio. Good location
4.6
Staff, except for Hilde, was very frosty. The gym hours were limited as well.
4.6
Perfect location, walking distance from the train station. Beautiful hotel with spacious and beautiful bedroom.
4.6
Nicely decorated, suite-style room
4.6
No bell boy to take luggage upstairs. You have to take your luggage by 5-6 steps stairs maybe even more depeding on room. It was tiring, inconvinient and unnecessary. There no one to deliver anything to your room like universal switch.
Most Important Note - Patio rooms do not have Patio rather name of the building is Patio. Hotel says this is wrong listing by Expedia, its there fault not us.
Positives: Big size rooms, Locality is amazing - 2 mins walk for Grand Place.

Style and location
4.6
Location was amazing with lots of restaurants nearby. Grand Place is very close and as well it’s across from the central train station. The French feel of the hotel was luxurious and I particularly enjoyed the history and old aspects of the hotel. We were on the third floor and as such we hand slanted ceilings and beams. However the carpet surrounding the bed needs to be changed. It was quite worn and tired.
4.6
The location was good, but we needed to walk wit our luggage for more than 100m because cars cant enter in their street. Average hotel.
4.6
Lovely location, elegant interior, charming receptionist Naomi
4.6
At the heart of brussels and 3-5 minutes away from main train station..splendid!
4.6
Very nice hotel in the heart of the “Sacre coeur”. Three steps from train station and Grand Place. Very quiet, cosy and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Very nice renovation.
4.6
The room at Hotel le Dixseptième was lovely. My main issue was that the doors, like many in Europe, do not have a means of locking that can only be unlocked from in the room. Someone from the hotel opened our door and briefly entered at 11:30 pm without knocking or announcing themselves. When I called out to them, they said something about being room service and left. We didn’t order room service and nothing was left. When I told the staff the following morning, they did not appear apologetic and nothing was done. The whole experience made for a very poor nights sleep.
4.6
Very nice hotel and very nice location in city center. Very charming old decoration, rooms etc.
We had a junior suite and the sofa and the stereo was broken.
If by car, you have to parc in public parking area.

A gem of a find this hotel right next to the old town and central railway very well appointed and comfortable.
