The boutique hotel is beautiful! The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable. It was walking distance to many of the city’s attractions, but you must be ready to walk up and down steep hills, but that’s just Lisbon in general.

Absolutely loved this Hotel. Best places we stayed

Great location in busy Alfama, but tucked away on a quiet side street. Elevator helpful for getting luggage upstairs. Uber dropoff right in front, no dragging bags up cobblestone hills! Restaurant was so great we had breakfast every day, and dinner there twice with live music on Thursday & Saturday nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrobes provided. Bvulgari brand toiletries provided. Definitely upgrade to a room with a view. The junior suite and panoramic suite are enormous and have incredible views and tons of space.

Absolutely one of the best stays we’ve had. A great hotel - and tremendous value for a 5 star property - with amazing staff. Great location and really first class. We will definitely return for another stay 👍

Loved the friendliness of the hotel. Classy, cool, beautifully decorated and despite being right in Alfama, it felt slightly on the periphery.

Santiago de Alfama is on a quiet square with a lovely cafe/restaurant on the plaza, so you can enjoy breakfast, drinks, or a meal. It is steps from a busy and bustling tourist area, including the tram 28 line, the Santa Luzia overlook (Miradoro) , and the castle on the hill. It is easy to walk down to the Praca de Comercio if you want more transportation options. Our room was comfortable, clean and quite beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and eager to help us as needed. A terrific place to stay in Lisbon!

Overall excellent stay!

The greeting and ginzha and helping us get to know the property, the neighborhood, and be prepared for the upcoming festival activities was very helpful and supportive. Also we were able to take the keys to broom a little bit early which was also helpful given our early flight arrival.

The historic site was really interesting and we loved the dining options. It is so centrally located to the old city and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone - it was within walking distance of so many great sites and restaurants. We felt like locals.

A true gem in Alfama.
The manager and all the staff are funny, intelligent, cultured and above all committed to your comfort and enjoyment. The breakfast was exceptional. The cocktails were wonderful served in an atmosphere that was both comfortable and sophisticated. The mixologist was very knowledgeable without taking himself too seriously. The live music (on Thursdays and Fridays) is excellent. Our suite (402) has extraordinary views.
It was a but of a splurge (the only room available) but it was well worth it. I woukd not have wanted to miss this hotel.

Beautiful hotel - we had one of the cheapest rooms…. Still stunning and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. Tons of character and a great place to use as a base to explore Lisbon.

A lovely modern gem tucked in the historic Alfama district. The entire experience was wonderful. Amazing staff and beautiful design created a memorable stay for us in Lisbon.

The staff is the shining star of this property. While it is a lovely, charming hotel, it is outstanding and 5* because of Lana, Joanna, Bruno, and Denusha, backed by fine housekeepers. They became friends!

This place was fabulous in every way. Beautiful hotel and warm and friendly staff. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We will be back again ...and again.

I stayed for a night and wasn't really impressed. Luggage storage is right beside the front entrance behind a velvet rope -- not very secure at all. My room was upgraded to a lovely view of the river and while the bed and linens were phenomenal, the rainfall shower had calcification so water only came out of 3/4ths of the head. There was inconsistent pressure from one of the bathroom faucets. When I checked in, I overheard another guest complaining of something similar. The air conditioning/heating was pretty loud in the evening.
One of the concierge team members was a little condescending and in general I found most of the team polite, but not helpful. The location is also pretty far from most things. Honestly, there are better places to stay closer to the center of town.

First class in every aspect. Wonderful staff. Can’t recommend enough!

Excellent hotel with very spacious rooms and super king sized beds. The staff are superb. I highly recommend a stay here… great location close to the cruise port, Sao Jorge Castle for 360 degree panoramas of Lisbon, short walk to the Fado Museum and night time live Fado music. The hotel is expensive but was worth the lovely overall experience.

Very attentive and helpful staff. Great room. Only complaint would be the shower. It’s oddly placed and weak. We had a junior suite. Excited about looking at their other properties.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and gracious. My room was charming and the bed was extremely comfortable.
I will definitely be back!

I picked this hotel, because it is in Alfama with original and ancient ,winding cobblestone streets.
I would not recommend this area for anyone with ability issues. The cobblestone streets are difficult to maneuver.

Absolutely fabulous small boutique hotel in the Alfama (old part of Lisbon). Perfect location, gorgeous hotel and fantastic staff. Would highly recommend

Great location. Staff were on point. The value just isn’t there. A few years ago I stayed at this hotel, same time of year and days of the week. Cost was less than half of what I paid this year. The hotel and grounds were the same with a bit more wear. It just isn’t worth the cost any longer. Very unfortunate to say. Thank you.

The view from our 4th floor room was amazing, the bed was soft and luxurious, the breakfast was delicious, the staff was so kind and we just loved everything about our stay. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

My husband, 7 year old daughter, and I just checked out of this pretty boutique hotel today. The staff we encountered were friendly, attentive and professional. We enjoyed the restaurant for dinner, and I had booked a room with breakfast included, which was copious and delicious. The bed and linens so comfortable and the room was spotless. In the center of exactly where you want to be (the best coastal views of the Tagus from right across the street and from the hotel terrace, with super easy access to the #28 tram and everything else), I can’t imagine a more ideal place to stay in the Alfama area of Lisbon. If/when we return, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the Santiago de Alfama again.
