Great location, wonderful ocean views and ocean wave sounds! Our unit had a kitchen and a washer. We didn't use it, except for morning coffee, but was nice to have. The sink in the kitchen leaked, and the drains in the bathroom were slow to drain, but overall, the experience was good. Who can complain if you are in French Polynesia!

We loved everything about this resort the food and wine was excellent.

Rooms very nice. Pool was nice and beach area. The service at the restaurant was not good. The food was very average. Not much to do on property and nothing much in walking distance. Front desk staff was very nice! Pierre at evening check in was wonderful. Sad they can’t get servers at the restaurant to do better.

Very helpful and friendly staff! Mauruuru! Great location on a black sand beach with beautiful clear water for swimming. My son rode waves for hours here. The pool is great, too. Room was fresh, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The resort restaurant has a very small, limited menu for lunch and dinner. Our room had a kitchen, which had the best view on Earth and was very handy (though it could use a few more dishes).

Incredible spot! Our room was magnificent and I highly suggest if traveling with another family (room 0001) the dining room, washer and pool were a game changer! The beach was beautiful and had the softest sand we had experienced on the island.

They forgot to clean our room one one of the days. The room next to us had a broken due and it felt unsafe to be next to a room with the door open. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The restaurant is not good.

I had a hot tub room which was very large, modern and comfortable. Staff welcoming on arrival but seemed stressed/understaffed. The black beach and pool area is lovely but large groups of very loud teenagers on the beach blaring music shouting and drinking along all day and evening goes unchecked with no intervention by staff. Also the food in the restaurant is disgusting. I paid around $50 for the breakfast buffet and it was inedible - food cold and stale even though I arrived at 8 am, flies all over the fruit and bread/pastries, coffee from a machine etc. really poor value. I also ordered a veggie burger and friends for lunch which was around $30 and again sadly I couldn’t eat it, it was soggy and gross. The hotel is nice to stay at but if you do, eat elsewhere or order in.

We booked a hot tub room, we appreciated the room being ready earlier than the usual time for check in. However, the hot tub had few stands of hair (not ours), so we ended up cleaning and washing the hot tub before using. There were ants in the room and cobwebs. We were by the lift/elevator so we heard the mechanical sound of it going up and down all day. They had a trainee at the reception desk, so because of misinformation of where to retrieve the ice, we first went to the reception desk then to the bar. The bar is located on a different floor and is a long walk from the reception desk, and we have to go the bar every time we would like ice, which is very inconvenient. The hotels’s only one restaurant also had a trainee and when the trainee took our plates after we ate, she couldn’t get a good grip, so it tilted and almost spilled on our laps with the sauces and utensils on the top. When we went to the black sand beach, there was this guy with a dog who was playing fetch and when we were walking towards the water to dip our toes, the guy decided to throw the stick towards my husband and the dog (30kg) ran into my husband and knocked him down. My husband recovered recently from a left knee fracture and that is the exact location where the dog slammed into. Overall, this wasn’t the experience we had in mind. We went out of our way for this hotel and for the black sand beach but it’s the worst experience, definitely not worth the money or the trip.

Hotel ground is beautifully located along the black sand beach. Hotel room is spacious with an ocean view; furniture is outdated and draperies were dirty. There was not enough electrical outlets that conveniently located near bed to charge cellular devices. Appreciate the tiny fridge to keep few bottles of water chill. Parking spaces were available on site. Staffs were not answering emails when messages sent through Expedia website for inquiries prior to travel.

The beautiful view of the water and the friendliness of the hotel workers, it was a very relaxing pleasure staying here.

The infinite pool and the access to the black beach was lovely. The rooms were clean and nice, but we forgot a charger for our phones and the USB port did not work in our room. The cost and the food were less desirable. We ate dinner at the fantastic food trucks a mile or two away.

Lots of construction going on so days were noisy. The elevator didnt work and our room was on the 3rd floor. It wouldve been nice if some compensation was offered. Pool was perfect. Food lacked imagination. When we needed to have a late check out time we were charged so I mentioned the broken elevator and then was offered a smaller fee to pay. This is a beautiful spot and lovely hotel but falls short of luxurious. We were told by a tour guide of the islands struggle after Covid so some of the recovery may be what we experienced.

The staff in the restaurant were great!! Jenny, Graz, Paco and Gladys. There needs to be more food awareness when it come to special diets ie gluten free options. The Thursday night show was fabulous. Front desk personnel were friendly but forgot to make our bed into 2 singles. Also forgot to order our taxi to the airport. All in all we enjoyed our visit.

The resort was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The resort was very clean. We were very happy with our accommodations. We thought the food could be better. It was just okay. We loved having the washer/dryer in our unit. We would recommend this resort.

We really liked this resort. The rooms are very big, modern, and clean. The view is breathtaking, the staff are very nice and helpful. We liked the food at the restaurant too, they also have Polynesian dancing on Thursdays and Saturday nights which we enjoyed. This resort is quiet, and the pool was not crowded which I really liked. We stayed at another resort on our way back going home later in our trip and it was the same price as this place but not as nice at all. I definitely recommend this resort.

The hotel was okay, but they charged us a tax that we had already paid to expedia of £32.27.

Despite a late arrival, our check in was fast and easy. We were offered a free upgrade to a beautiful oceanfront suite with a jetted tub! The room was immaculate and huge. We enjoyed our balcony and the lovely jetted tub. The grounds were beautiful and the beach in front was great for walks. All the staff were very helpful. Overall it was a wonderful experience in a beautiful location. The room was the nicest I’ve ever stayed in.

Trying to get the nice one bedroom suite it was hard to do the second go around… They said it was reserved for people that use booking or hotels, but we could not get it the second time

The positives of our trip was that they did upgrade our room to include a kitchenette with a great view. The staff was cordial but they were not keen on going above and beyond from a customer service standpoint.
The negatives were that the hotel has a lot more wear and tear than what is advertised online. The room we were in was renovated but you can tell corners were cut and the updates weren't finished properly. We also got stuck in the elevator and it took 15 minutes to get us out. They only gave us a $50 credit and an apology. We then had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs the entire rest of the trip. Then upon checkout we learned that they tried to charge us for making local phone calls from the hotel phone but didn't have this stated anywhere in the room. After I complained about how unfair this was, they removed it from the bill. Also, they only have 1 restaurant on site which is okay but expensive. The jacuzzi is also not heated which was a let down. Overall, I would not stay at this resort again.

Nice black sand beach to walk on. Good pool. No other restaurants around, so make reservations at their restaurant ahead of time. No walkable shopping, but shuttle service to Papeete market area and pick up. Took long time to get a taxi to airport so account for that. Had scale in baggage room to weight luggage. Nice tahitian dancers at dinner time.

Resort was lovely and well maintained. Black sand beach was a favorite. Our room had a really nice ocean view and a jacuzzi facing the ocean that we really enjoyed. Room was updated with modern conveniences. We really enjoyed our stay and will return if we go back to Tahiti.
6.0 / 10.0
The restaurant and food selections were very limited. Very few activities. For a resort that is isolated it should offer more. We will not be returning
4.0 / 10.0
The place was depressing. Old, tired, in need of painting. Room was dusty as if it hadn’t been used in a while. The fon adapter didn’t work so every outlet was lousy for adaptor connection so fon couldn’t be charged. Pool nice looking but tiles broken off & again, just so in need of updating, paint & maintenance
Staff… EXCELLENT…

Located approx 25-30 min from the airport and most shopping and restaurants, so you should rent a car if you prefer a variety of food options. The property is clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. Loved the spa/sauna. The only issue we had were ants in the room. We liked having a living room space, large bathroom, and lounge chairs on the balcony but wished we had a microwave. The restaurant service is good. The way food is prepared was inconsistent.

We spent only one night at the end of a Windstar cruise…we were so lucky to be in attendance for the evening traditional Polynesian show…the group was excellent and were by far the most talented group we had encountered in our stay in the islands…I felt that I should contribute to the group but the opportunity was not there…I know these men and women don’t show there talents then put there hand out for money but if there was a fund to contribute to for the teaching of the young islanders about dance and culture I would have been more than happy to contribute…awesome is the word that keeps coming to mind about the evening

Everyone was super helpful, easy to book transportation. Very clean, buffet for breakfast was really great very large variety of food. Language barrier was a bit of a problem. Needed an adapter for CPAP machine and they were out had to sleep without it for a night until someone checked out and one became available. The pool had a lot of sand in it and needed to be refinished missing lots of tiles. The jacuzzi was not heated at all. The location and beauty made up for the inconveniences.

The room was excellent . Large room with a comfortable king bed. In room whirlpool tub, large deck.
Restaurant staff were slow and unorganized.

Everyone seems to speak English and French, and is really welcoming. We had a small electrical outage in the room one day and they took care of it right away. We booked a 1 bedroom with kitchen, really convenient to be able to cook in the evening since the dining options in the hotel are pricey. If you have a car, It's relatively close to a bakery and stores, so we could enjoy french food and they have several "roulottes": food truck around.

Excellent room! bigger than most apartments. awesome view of black sand beach right below, wish there had been easy access to it. only small inconvenience was opening the door to the balcony, had to slide in beside the jacuzzi to get to it, but having the jacuzzi made it worth it. room service was fantastic! hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again someday. Thank you all!
