I felt safe here and the facilities are awesome! This is a great hostel if you need to work or go to/from the airport, though it is far from the beach, so I wouldn't stay here if that was the main reason for you to go to Cancun

The front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable. When we arrived they gave us a room upgrade and staff helped to organize both activities and to coordinate with other travel bookings we had. Walkable and enjoyed being able to go be apart of sister hostels as well! We did not understand the hot water system at first but staff were quick to help!

"I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. However, I was disappointed to find out that they charged me double when I extend for 3 more days without informing me beforehand. The reason was “ last minute reservation “ Despite this issue, the stay itself was good and the staff were friendly. I hope that in the future, the hotel improves their communication with guests to avoid similar issues. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but suggest being cautious about unexpected charges."

Should add some table and hook in rooms

Great little spot close to restaurants and shops. Was a bit concerned because they asked for a cash or ID deposit- would have appreciated a heads up on that requirement. Otherwise the accommodations were lovely!

Nice place, with a lot of plants and green areas, the staff is really cool, the room was beautiful and clean, there are a lot of places to share like the pool, the kitchen, a cowork, and the best of all is the quietness, makes you feel safe.

I enjoyed the chill vibe, the location close to several restaurants, the staff's attention, and the cleanliness in general, will recommend it and will be back

Great property with lovely amenities. My room was excellent but it was located between the pool and kitchen, so that can get noisy. Otherwise perfect stay.

I enjoyed the staff's friendliness, the green and common spaces, the niche chilling pool, the integration activities, and the coworking spot. Hope I'll get back soon to chill and rest

If you’re looking for a short stop in downtown cancun before exploring Quintana Roo, this is the place for you. Boutique vibes at hostel prices, we went for a private room which was lovely. It is SUPER quiet, which was just what we wanted. The co-working space is great, pool is lovely, and kitchen has all you need. Tattoo shop is cool! The local area is great and there is the nomads party hostel nearby where you can get your party vibes fix! It’s situated just off a rod with a bunch of great restaurants, all walking distance. Everywhere felt super safe, and rooms / communal space very clean. Downtown cancun gem - don’t miss it!

I really liked the service, the staff's kindness, the beauty of the facilities, the coworking area is so cozy, and the pool at the end of the property. Hope I'll be back soon

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. An unforseeable maintenance issue came up with my room and they made everything right and upgraded me to a fancier one.
Amazing location. Great walking distance from local markets and restaurants and easy access to the ADO terminal and hotel zone busses. Oxxo around the corner

Very unique hotel that is a work of art just by itself. The whole property felt like what a small hotel in Cancún should feel like.
Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was clean and felt very safe.
I will be booking another trip to Cancun just to stay at this hotel again.

Liked the cozy hotel with a good hippy vibe. Wish the on-site restaurant and bar was open, not a big deal because there are plenty of restaurants and bars within 30sec to 3min walk.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. However we found our room to have have a few cockroaches in the bathroom area and our sheets to have what we believe was blood or red substance. We are not sure it was just our room in this condition or if others have experience this. Was disappointed with our stay.

I had the best time I’ve ever had in Cancun at this hotel! Usually I stay in the hotel zone but this time I stayed at the Enigmatic and WOW! I was so impressed! I got my own bedroom which came with its own bathroom (VERY NICE), which included towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed was the most comfortable hostel bed I have ever slept in. Amazing. The pool was awesome - great place to socialize - and the ambience is really stellar. I loved this part of Centro too! What a cute little neighborhood! You won’t miss the loud and crazy tourist area by the beach - and if you do go, it’s only a 50 peso cab ride. Overall I highly recommend this hostel; in fact I have already recommended it to the people I met in Isla Mujeres the following week.

Very chill spot similar to the Generator and Freehand hotels, with pool, hammocks, in-house tattoo shop, and books to borrow. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Price was great.

The room was nice. The staff was wonderful. The kitchen was missing a lot of silverware, forks and spoons, the groceries was packed full of old food and gross. If you were lucky two burners worked. On most days people didn't eat their own dishes and sink was constantly clogged. The beds were hard as rocks! They had to move me because my ac unit kept leading all over the furniture and the bed was so hard. Well, the new bed was just as hard and they put me in a room where the window opened up to the outdoor kitchen table where everyone went to eat or smoke so I could hear everything and couldn't open my window because of the smoke. When I turned on the ceiling fan, the light came on which I couldn't turn off. The second room didn't even have a fan. The second room shower only had hot water. It was so hot I couldn't rinse my shampoo out. I had to do it in the sink. The bar and restaurant were closed for construction. It was really quiet, so that was a plus. It has a lot of potential and I hope they can fix these little problems. It was convenient for my morning trips to Isla Blanca for my kitesurfing lessons.

Nice hostel. Pool was broke first 3 days and they didn't notify anyone via social media sadly. Good food and environment. In the evening they have people push you and pressure you to buy the bar packages so that was the worst part of the stay. The bartenders were awesome, Max the manager was great as well. Security guard Jesus was really cool also.

Pros:- breakfast and dinner included in the price- organized events with groups - female only dorm- decently clean facilities for a hostel- pool Cons:- very loud, hard to get a good night’s sleep with loud drinking games until 10:30/11 and people drinking and talking at the hostel bar until 1:30. People also stumble in at all hours of the morning after partying. Even with strong earplugs I barely got to sleep. - as some other reviewers have noted, a lot of the staff seem to just want to sell you on day and nighttime events and aren’t really friendly otherwise - The door in the female dorm doesn’t lock unless from the inside. If one guest forgets to lock it before heading out, it can be open for anyone to come into which happened several times while I was there - the beach is up to 30 minutes away by bus and not as readily accessible as it would be if you were staying in the main hotel zone area
