Good staff and location.

The hotel was ok, a bit basic and it need of a bit of TLC, reception felt like a corporate office.

From a friendly welcome and free upgrade due to a large event at the premises I had a great one night stay.
Room was excellent and the hotel bar perfect to meet a friend.
Would highly recommend for anyone having a short or long stay in Aberdeen.

Lovely stay, not so keen on shower over the bath and it was tricky to get out of near the toilet!

The property and decoration condition of the hotel and rooms is excellent. The rooms are spacous, comfortable, quiet and the room servicing is excellent..
The staff throughout the hotel are friendly, helpful and very pleasant to comunicate with.
The only negative is the low illumination in the accommodation corridores occationaly causes an optical problem on the short staircases.
Taking this comment into consideration, I still score the Chesterr Hotel, Aberdeen overall , ten out of ten.
Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely room in the more modern part of the building. Although a little dark and had a view of the car park, it was very comfortable with plenty of space and had everything we needed. Tea tray and coffee machine were very good and really appreciated the card and chocolates the hotel left to recognise my birthday. Breakfast was excellent - still plenty of hot buffet and continental options available near end of service and quality was great. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

Lovely hotel. We had afternoon tea, waiter was friendly & tea was great. Hotel check in was straightforward. Room was great although because we were close to front door & connecting door (3 buildings) lots of doors banging when people came into building. Overall great, definitely recommend

Arrived late after dinner and were shown to a dungeon room with a tiny basement window. The room was hot and stuff with no air con. The bed is possibly the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve had in a long time. It was cheap and springy with scratchy bedding and thin, useless pillows. Far below the expectations set out in their website. The light on the desk phone also lit up the whole room until 3am when it eventually dulled.
There were no robes which is fairly standard in good hotels which is what Chester market themselves to be.
I’m 6 months pregnant and what was a last minute get away child free with my husband, on a whim I booked here instead of Mal next door. Instead of having a lovely night away and enjoying a hotel bed and relaxing time I’m leaving with a sore back and neck, tired and grumpy with a stuffy nose.
The bathroom was nice.
I’m sure there are decent rooms here perhaps with better beds and bedding but certainly not my experience. If a hotel has basement rooms they should really
advise guests of this in advance. The bed and bedding and overall room experience falls short on expectations set by this hotel. I would not recommend at all

Lovely welcome by reception however the room they gave me was small and poky and the view from window was a brick wall. I rang them and they changed me
I use to use this hotel a lot for business but bedrooms sometime let them down so I moved anyway gave them another try

The Chester is the Goldilocks of hotels...not too much and never too little.
The central location makes it ideal for everything Aberdeen has to offer.

It was a delightful experience and would return to this hotel. Wendy at reception was so welcoming. We had an excellent family celebration dinner. Sitting outside under the umbrellas in glorious sunshine was so unexpected but wonderful

Was really disappointed with my stay as I usually visit Hilton TECA. Breakfast was very good and the selection of food on offer was very good.
What let me stay down was the room, the mattress has springs pushing through, my wardrobe door fell apart and I was visited by a fair few bugs in the room. Reported this to reception who just didn’t care.

Friendly staff, beautiful decor, delicious breakfast, plenty of parking on-site

I had visiting family members who could not stay with me therefore I booked them into The Chester.
The rooms and service were fantastic, and my family really enjoyed their stay.
We had a group dinner in IX restaurant which was also fantastic. As a local I enjoy the restaurant and bar. My family had a wonderful stay therefore I would also highly recommend staying in the hotel.

Very friendly staff at the hotel , comfortable room and bed . Quiet in the room away from the function area which was in another building . Good breakfast .

Enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Chester. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, esp Marise(sp?) in reception. I enjoyed the freshest tasting, most delicious fish for dinner one night. I asked for the fish to be done in breadcrumbs rather than batter and this was not a problem, although it often is at other establishments. There is a very handy bus stop across the road if you don’t want to drive. We found the hotel is so well glazed that a quiet room was facing the main road, not at the back which has some sort of eco thing running all the time which we found annoying. One small point, behind the taps in bath needed a good squirt with Mr Muscle. Hoping to return very soon!

Great location , easy parking at the rear of the hotel. Excellent choice for breakfast

Great place to stay only bad thing could hear joining room

Beautifull hotel with friendly staff.
Very clean and tidy.
Apart from mould around the tap area in bath everything was perfect.

Told that I didn’t have a “proper name” during check in, left empty used milk jug in the room - weird beeping throughout the night that the staff couldn’t figure out.
Lovely room - just the small things you’d expect to be right weren’t.

Very nice hotel that oozes quality, all the staff we met over our two day stay were helpful and friendly would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Aberdeen
