This is your average 50's era beach motor court hotel. It's dated. The renovation is a little sloppy and amateur. But it's a reasonable price for a hotel close to the beach. What I DESPISE is all the 'understanding' AI responses claiming that they care and will fix the issues. They don't. They won't. The AC still doesn't work well. The toilet is still wobbly. The TV is confusing to use. The floors are kinda dirty. No matter how many reviews mention these things and how many times the AI "understands" the problem and promises to correct it... the AC still won't work. The toilet will still wobble. The floors will still be dirty. It's a budget beach hotel. It's OK. If you are picky, you won't like it. Also, you have to turn the AC down to 60' to get it to work at all. I think it's offset by 10' to try and get people not to use it. Set it to 60', you'll get 70' and it's comfortable.

Our overall experience was very good. The staff was friendly. There were no issues checking in or out. Housekeeping came around daily and asked if we needed towels or anything. The room was one of the renovated ones so it was nice and clean and smelled clean. The bathroom was a little dated still and the toilet was wobbly and the toilet paper was not great. One bed was more comfortable than the other. The room did come with complimentary toiletries like soap, lotion, shampoos/conditioner, and makeup wipes. The fridge, microwave, and ac worked. It was in a great location close to restaurants and the beach. We would stay there again.

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was good except the sink didnt work good barely any water and no hot water. Parking wasnt great didnt hardly go any where because you loose your spot so had to walk mostly.

Could have been alittle cleaner. 3 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth is not enough for afamily of 4. Also the room needed alittle bit of tlc.

Room floors were so nasty, you could not walk barefoot or your feet would be black. Its a cheap motel with a high cost. Room smelled like vomit. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable and saw a roach within 2 minutes of being in the room. Will not be staying here again.

My only issue was that the TV remote would not control the volume on the TV. I had just checked in and the desk clerk came to my room to check it out. Instead of moving me to another room, and there were plenty, she told me that I would have to get out of bed and adjust the volume manually. In my mind, she should have offered me another room. Not a bign deal, but strange.

Had a great stay. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect - short walk to the beach and downtown area. It is a beach hotel, don't expect the Ritz, it was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small and dated but sleeping area was renovated and had all the amenities we needed. We would stay there again.

Excellent location and wonderful staff. Unfortunately the property is very worn down, non-smoking rooms smell like smoke, and the pool was very yucky. Overall, the property is within walking distance of everything. We really enjoyed our time there!

It was very close to the beach. It’s was so undesirable that my daughter slept in our car for the 3 nights we were there. Mattresses were the worst I’ve ever slept on. Smelly, bathroom door would stick making it hard to get out. Trash stuck in the sink. It’s in need of a major renovation. There was a pet fee that I did not find on their website. Trash all around the premises. Would not stay there again.

late check in had to walk down the street to another place to get the key, key didnt work, walked down to other place got another key it didnt work either, walked down the street and told the desk person to come open the door please. The place was redone maybe 15 years ago it needs done again. glad we only needed to sleep for 6 hours floor was sticky and toilet loose. not even a 1 star.

It wasn't bad, we kept having our towels arrive at the room with lots of hair on them and when we took it to the front desk they apologized and gave us new ones but they were not very clean either. The room itself was nice and clean. Our only problem was the towels. Overall we would definitely go back here but next time we will bring our own towels

Over all it was alright. The rooms have been remodeled but they forgot to put decent sleeping beds. Now if you don’t mind harder beds this place is right for you. The air was amazing!!

The hotel was very conveniently located. Walking distance to shops, beach and restaurants. Its a plain room nothing fancy at all. Bed was comfy and the air conditioning worked great. The hotel could use some updating. New paint etc. Pricey but convenient.

When we booked we had thought it’d be somewhat decent for a hotel with last minute booking, but to my surprise the room was disgusting. There was brown stuff in the mini fridge, SO MUCH HAIR IN THE BATHROOM, cheese in the microwave, and the floor was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. It wasn’t swept nor mopped. There was sticky stuff on the floor and the staff wasn’t that friendly. Everyone was very passive aggressive but somewhat attentive. Will not be back.

They would not let us check in until 5:20 pm, they would not let us even use their restroom to use or even change into our bathing suits Once we got to our room there was no knob on the bathroom tub, Floor sticky , hard mattress

Went to check in, first room hadn't been cleaned and there was dogsh!t in the floor. They gave us another room and it was...ok. Check the microwave, apparently the cleaning staff do not. There was food in it at least a week old. Would go back to Tybee, probably would not stay at the Sandcastle Inn again.

The room is very dirty and a quarter of the bathroom door is missing. It’s not a bad room it’s clearly in disrepair and dirty. Cockroach on the floor and bed. I would some refund.

We stayed over memorial day weekend. The room was clean and the area was quiet, considering it's in the middle of everything. The only issue I had was the parking lot size (small spaces, not a lot of parking spaces).

Lobby was very hot. We didn't check in until 8:30 pm. I can't imagine what it must be like in the heat of the day. Room was nice and cool. Clean and comfortable. Small but great location.
