The check-in person was rude, unhelpful and the worst I have experienced. My wife talked to another guest who was having troubles with his room key and needed assistance from the front desk that also complained about this individual. I travel through Des Moines a few times a year and have used this Hotel in the past. Never again.

Room was spacious, shower and bed were good. Weird noise coming from the air duct, and front desk staff were not too friendly. Breakfast was lacking, and coffee service was not maintained... pity, as it could be an awesome hotel.

The hotel check-in staff were wonderful and very welcoming. We enjoyed the pool area and the free breakfast. We had issues with noices above us until after midnight due to an unregistered pet in someone's room. This was unfortunate. I addressed the issue with the desk, and they said they'd look into it. They told me to call back if the problem continued. I called twice after the noice persisted, and no one answered the front desk phone. This was dissappointing.

Hotel was very clean, beds were extremely comfortable and hotel was quiet. Breakfast was perfect, with many options available and was extremely happy that the management opened it up to us a few minutes early as we were in town for a softball tournament and our girls had to leave by 6:30 in the morning. The pool, spa and outdoor patio was nice as well. The only thing I would suggest would be to have larger waste baskets in the rooms and add water bottle filling stations.

I was surprised at the condition of my room. The wall paper was actually coming off the wall in several places. The mattress was horrible. It seamed to fall in on the center of the mattress which made it impossible to sleep. I was not able to turn the air conditionee off and it stayed extremely cold in our room. I attempted many times to hit the arrow on the unit that normally allows you to make it warmer. I was told the next morning that there was an actual thermostat but homely I never saw one. I was so disappointed with my stay.

Room was prepaid but upon arrival was total unavailable. Was told third party booking were normally overbooked so if you want a certain type you need to book direct. With property . We just wanted two queen beds for three adults, after twenty minutes of discussion we got two doubles.

The hotel was conveniently located with ample parking. The employees we interacted with were pleasant and efficient. The pool, hot tub and pool deck were clean and well maintained. Our room was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast was decent and the breakfast area was spacious and clean. So why the lower score? That’s because the thermostats in the room were set at 68 and could NOT be adjusted. So at night, you with froze with it on or woke up in a sweat when it was off. Maybe it would have been tolerable if the vents were along the baseboards, but this was a typical hotel air system…in the wall under the window with a wall thermostat for control. So the air blew right over the beds. We spoke with the front desk staff who said they had received “tons” of complaints but can’t do anything to correct it. For $250/night (including taxes), I expect to be able to control the temp in my room! Other than waking up every few hours to turn the air on or off, the hotel was perfect!

We are travel with our twin 1 yr olds. We requested two cribs, we received 2 pack and plays. We didn’t mind the pack and plays, just one was broken and didn’t fully open. They didn’t have sheets for them for us to use. The room was large, but dirty. The ceiling was falling down from looks like a water leak in 2 spots. 1 spot being over the end of the bed and the other in the living room area. When you walked into the room, it smelled of urine. The floor on the right side of the bed was wet in 3 different spots, pretty gross. There was sticky residue on the floor and hair in the shower. Pretty disappointed.

People were super friendly. The room, the water didn’t get very hot for showers, and sink faucet has buildup. Beds weren’t terrible but the pillows made me wake and my husband with neck pain and we are feeling it bad enough still at the end of the day we are making chiropractor appointments tomorrow.

The room, pool area, and hotel were quite clean. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast offerings were as one would expect. The only negative of this stay was the breakfast area. The food was fine, but the dining area seemed understaffed. The tables weren’t cleaned, the cutlery wasn’t being restocked, and the trash cans were full. Only one gentleman was working and he couldn’t keep up with demands. Overall, safe and clean property in an excellent location. I’d certainly stay here again.

Enjoy our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, but the breakfast was horrible. The eggs were burnt and soggy. They burned the eggs and then added water to dried burnt eggs. The potatoes were dry as well. Other than that we were pleased with our stay.
