This hotel is out of a horror movie. Cracks in the walls, floor creaking everywhere. Literally considered sleeping in the truck

There were water stains and peeling paint on the ceiling, there was a mass of dead insects inside the ceiling light glass, no mini fridge in the room. We found the smoke detector under the bed and I had to reattach it to the ceiling. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities nearby were awesome! 3/10 will not stay again.

Property may have been updated but not to a good standard. We had to turn on the half working aircon to drowned out the fighting couple and drunks on the street. Was only option available when we booked.

Like that it was easy to find. Didnt like that there was no coffee available in the room. No key drop off in the moening of departure and to one to avaiable to get a final receipt from upon departure.

It was a decent place to stay for one night. Definitely reflects a 2 star hotel; nothing more, nothing less. The inside of the building did smell like stale cigarettes, but the room was clean and attended to. Front desk not always available, especially if one wished to check out early… No one there. Good for one night.

I didnt care about its short comings. The staff were great, it was cheap and the kids loved the space. The character and history of the building will have me going back and back again

Retro carpets need to be removed Staff member Kyle needs to recognize great guy went over and above to make our enjoyable. Thanks Kyle

Paid probably way too much just to get some sleep 1 night and that's not possible here. People yelling in the hallway til 1am. Paper thin walls. AC unit barely worked as well. Got woken up super early so we just packed and left earlier than we normally would have.

There was hair in the bed, comforter was dirty, room was dirty, and dated. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Building smelled of stale cigarette smoke. I would never stay here again

The rooms have been very well updated considering the age of the property. Clean and tidy. Easy parking. One negative observation - no channels available on TV.

Unfortunately, not maintained at all. It has great potential, however, it appears that there is little to no maintenance undertaken with this property. Significantly overpriced! Less than a desirable odour on the main floor. It is so sad to see this great building falling into disrepair. Will not stay here again.

Service was exceptional. Very clean, economical and convenient accommodation.

Like: The building is good. The room is good and clean. The shower is much water, some good.
Don't like: No microwave for food. No heat made me sick. The shower water was leaking. The rubber pad inside the shower pool was slippery, almost made me accident, because the leaking water was under the rubber pad.

It was nice, clean & pretty quiet. Except for drunken lady who couldn’t you though we should all her about her problems at around 3 am.
I know this has nothing to do with the hotel but the only complaint is the train @ 4am…. Do they really need to blow the horn.. yes they do because of an uncontrolled train crossing.. put in lights at the train track so your visitor can enjoy a good sleep well they are visiting your beautiful town

It's fine. Clean, easy, nothing fancy, but just what we needed.

It is right downtown, so location is good. Very old building, not been renovated on a long time.
Staff were friendly.

Room smells. I’m not staying there

Older hotel that has been cleaned up, staff are friendly and the rooms have A/C and I found the bed extremely comfortable. The tavern has fair priced drinks however the kitchen is not open yet. I would come back.

It was not good. There was no way we were going to stay there.
The room was not made up very dirty.

Management gave my room away i booked on expedia, then i had to wait another 30-40 minutes while management scrambled to recitify the situation, and then they charged me for the night again which im currently trying to get reimbursed for.
The only good

The room was tiny. The baseboards were rotten and falling off the wall. Hotel smells. Shower drain clogged with hair. Sheets looked like they had been slept in. Mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Hurt our backs.
We booked for 2 nights but had to lose out on the money for second night as we refused to stay another night. They wouldn’t refund our unused night

We have waited over 20 minutes by the front desk to check in and yet saw no employees…

Yes it’s historical. It was nice in that way. But basic amenities in room were lacking. Extra pillows and blankets would’ve been nice as the pillows were too soft. Way too loud between the stairs and over the bar sadly. The hotel needs fresh investment and not just relying on its character. Won’t be back

Would not have stayed the night if I would have known how horrible this was, the entire room was filled with a layer of dirt and dust. Neither of the TVs worked, room key didn’t work, We had to shake out the blankets to clean them up. we all had to keep our shoes on the entire time. We told the front desk. (Bartender) and she didn’t seem to care. Very old beds and decor, looks like nobody had been in that room in months. Rooms directly above a bar so music plays all night.

Room had no heat woke up and the rooms was 13 degrees more of a bar then a hotel

Checked in at the bar. A drunk patrion imediatly tried to fight us. Followed us up to our room. Didnt feel safe all night for us or the car out back. Not to mention the bar plays lound music till 2am. Dont stay here.

Nice nostalgic hotel. Fair bang for your buck. Perfect if you wanna have a drink in the bar downstairs. Friendly and accommodating staff.

close to castle mtn ski area. No heat in 2 rooms. staff super nice, gave me space heater to plug in and heat room was 62C in room before that. downstairs pub has no food or pub food, kitchen closed very early. no snacks. just alcohol and slot machines. They should make enough off slot machines to fix heating in hotel. No customers in pub except slot machine patrons.

I loved the rustic and retro dated bar and was very pleased with the rooms

It looks sketchy from the outside but is beautiful on the inside.

Women who was in the next room was speaking very loud in a different language, it was like she was sitting right beside me.
Also there no coffee

Absolutely would never stay here again or advise anyone else to.The room was disgustingly dirty. The fridge was full of grime and mold, the bath had a huge buildup of grime, radiators had dirt and dead flies all over. The mattress had broken springs and was noisy anytime someone moved, sheets were stained and dirty so was the bed cover and pillows. We slept bundled in our clothes and covered the pillows with hoodies so we didn’t have to touch anything. Manager wouldn’t listen to complaint. We got in late about 10 PM, we had paid for 2 nights but got up at 6AM and left ASAP, rented a hotel elsewhere took a loss for the money we paid for the second night. It was worth losing the second nights money just to get away from the cesspit they call the Cosmopolitan hotel. Just plain gross, don’t stay there, yuck.

Old not clean not worth the money they charge it is a 75.00$ a night room max

I had expected an older hotel. However, the price point for what was delivered is actually laughable. Do not book here.
