We recently stayed at Country Encounters Accommodations during our trip to explore the Crowsnest Pass area, and we're so glad we did! The old 1906 building has such a historic charm, with carefully selected antique furniture making it an extra little adventure to explore. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breakfast. Easily the best meal we've had at any accommodation! The banana bread and cheese scones are unforgettable.

The room was wonderful! Large, well stocked, comfortable and quiet. The check in was smooth and the complimentary cookies were amazing!
My only complaint would be the heat! You wouldn’t want to be in the room in the heat of the day, but it cooled down pretty good at night.

Clean and comfortable. Very nicely decorated. Free homemade cookies!

Excellent breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff.
Bulb replacement for table lamp (bulb-less), few more towels(one had big toothpaste stain on it) and remove previous guests odds/ends items left behind (in drawers, etc.).

It is an old building in Coleman, adapted to receive guests. Rooms were big, with private bathroom, and had access to common areas, with beautiful old furniture were you could read and enjoy the mountain view.
The best part is that this is managed by their owners and family. Awesome, hard working & nice people.
I didn’t dislike anything.

so unique and different. we loved it! Breakfast was the best, and you have to love a place that had a cookie room.

Very cozy and the location is great.
The room was fairly warm at night. We like to sleep in a cooler room. we opened the window.

This is my third stay at the hotel and as usual I found it to be clean and comfortable with a good bed and an excellent shower amply provided with superb towels. A large hot breakfast is provided without extra charge. There is also a restaurant across the road, run by the hotel, at which I had an enjoyable meal.

Treated very well. The breakfast was beyond generous.

Great breakfast. Sociable and enjoyable hosts. Cute little common area with books.
Ceiling fan in bedroom had a dead switch, so fan was stuck on when ever the lights were on which made the room less comfortable. Small amount of peeling ceiling paint and improperly hung shower curtain in the bathroom.

Extremely comfortable and homely. We stayed in two bedroom suite and it felt like we were part of the TV show Heartland. Owners very helpful and friendly and great with communication especially as location is relatively straight forward and handy for the Crowsnest highway but not exactly obvious. Breakfast was exceptional. Mountain setting sublime. Coleman itself is very picturesque and historically interesting but has a bit of ghost town feeling
Location is not completely obvious. .

We had a room based on the 20's Vintage theme among others that take you back in time. Funny.

Clean, cozy and quaint facilities. The owners are incredibly welcoming, kind and considerate. Great breakfast. Best place to crash in the Crowsnest pass bar none.
Thank you Dawn, Grant and Loki. We'll be back :)

Very welcoming.
Only draw back, no rooms on the ground floor, and I forgot to ask for my 10% discount in the restaurant.

Breakfast was exceptional with lots of variety. It was delicious and portions were huge.
The family on-site is very warm and welcoming with lot of recommendations for family fun in the area. The facility is family-friendly with a open cookie bar and a very friendly puppy who loves to perform for treats.
Beds and bedding are comfortable and many household comforts are made available for guests.
I can't think of anything that could have been done better however, the late night /early morning trains can be jarring for anyone staying anywhere in the town of Coleman.

Breakfast was wonderful! Plentiful with lots of variety. We greatly enjoyed the cozy feel of the building. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Nothing negative at all

The restaurant below was noisy, but it did close at 9pm and quiet after 10pm.

Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Room was very pleasant. Staff were welcoming. Although I did not use it the provision of a public space with books and magazines was a nice touch.
