Probably a nice hotel at one time that is now in need of modernisation as fixtures and fittings are grubby. Not the standard that you'd associate with a hotel that is on a golf course. Having said that it was clean enough, breakfast was reasonable and the setting was lovely. If your looking for somewhere to sleep while you go sight seeing or play golf then this hotel would do. A car is essential for getting out and about.

On business, 2 nights, 2 rooms. Obviously the mainstay of this hotel is weekend golfing, primarily Koreans.
Even though the hotel was probably well under 50% occupied and we showed up 2 hours after check in time, we had to wait a half hour "for our rooms to be cleaned".
Breakfast (a 3 to 5 min walk from the hotel) was reasonable, not outstanding.
The rooms were probably very good when built but have run down over the years. Bath/shower sill poured water out of the tub when taking a shower, ran from inside wall to end of tub and then across and out on the floor, down the entire floor to the drain. It was literally impossible to take a shower without the entire floor, and any floor mats, getting wet.
Water flow and temperature was weak and fluctuated a lot.
Mattresses were hard (Thai standard).
Power went in and out several times.
Internet was slow and offline about 50% of the time.
Staff were attentive and polite when you could find them.
All in all wouldn't stay here again, in fact as we had to stay another day we changed hotel (Botanica - subject of a much better review)
But the cockroaches were very healthy.

Choose this place not because you are a golf aficionado and definitely not because you don't have a second decent choice available in Muak Lek. You will then miss the spirit of this unique resort. Cradled by nature, it provides you with all sorts of room amenities. The club-house restaurant has plenty of variety in the menu while the preparations are nothing short of delicious. Try this place for a lazy vacation amidst nature. I, for one, will surely come back time and again.

Very nice large room, in secluded area, had a deluxe pool room, access to own pool but is shared with other rooms, will probably just book a mountain view room next time as resort also has a large outdoor pool and jacuzzi
