Great, helpful service.

Marc Anthony was so sweet. He was welcoming and made me feel at home the second we met. I flew in from a long Red eye and was able to let me check in. He took me on a short tour and allowed me to go for a nap. He always checked on me and gave me restaurant recommendations.

We loved our stay and all the hotel had to offer, starting with a perfect location, excellent hospitality, amazing accommodations i.e. sauna, steam room, hot tub, the wine and cheese and fireplace in the room.

The hotel was beautiful! Our room was a bit small and tight. Coffee and breakfast was not available at hotel. A $5 voucher to a wonderful coffee shop was issued each day. Wine and cheese was offered on our first night from 4 pm to 5 pm, but not offered on our 2nd night. Open key app was used to check into room and gave access to all hotel entry doors as well as our room. Very convenient!

Marc Anthony was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The hotel was right in middle of the action but far enough up the side street so it was quiet the cheese and wine was nice start to evenings. The rooms were on small side but well appointed and clean.

Great location with easy walking access to shops, restaurants, attractions and marina. Property was older but well kept and clean. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The host, MarcAnthony was extremely knowledgeable about the area and offered excellent recommendations for things to do and see in Ptown. Overall excellent experience!

It was just okay.

Great location, just moments from great restaurants and the water. Did not take advantage of some of the hotel amenities, so can't speak beyond our room. Room was small but clean. Great friendly staff at the hotel, definitely there to help.

Our stay at the Ellery was very nice. It’s a great location and we were able to park in their lot. The room was very clean and nicely decorated; bed was comfy with great bedding. The common area was also a nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee off other libation.

Marc Anthony was a terrific host.
As a fairly discriminating traveler (both work and personal) I found this property way exceeded my expectations.
Highly recommend staying here and enjoying Provincetown and the Cape.

Their state of the art key system didn't work, not even once in 3 days but their staff were great and very helpful.
I didn't appreciate the way they charged my card immediately after I chose "Pay Expedia or Pay at the Hotel" I would have been nice to ask for a form of payment instead of deciding that the card on file is how I prefer to pay.

The reviews I read were for a different owner. NO BREAKFAST at all. We arrived and could not get in. There is an app for the doors but no one to explain the buildings or where your room is. I paid $30 more for an upgrade and had the same room as other people we traveled with. There was finally someone around the next morning, very weird experience. Clean room, nice areas to hang out but it’s a very expensive airbnb, without the concerned owners and not a hotel. Becoming rundown too

First of all, when I booked this "hotel" it was listed as The Cambria. My card was charged when I booked it although the reservation was a "reserve now, pay later" reservation. I called the line multiple times only to be told it was the off season and no one would be there until AFTER the cancellation date listed on my reservation. I attempted to cancel with my bank and was told I had to talk to the hotel first, which never happened. This "hotel" is not your traditional hotel. It's a Bed and Breakfast WITHOUT the breakfast. It should honestly be called an Inn. The app they have you use to gain access to your room is very temperamental and isn't very user friendly. The room itself is small and cramped for two people. It does not have a microwave, refrigerator, or an iron. The air conditioning was loud when it would start and when it would stop causing me to wake up multiple times throughout the night. When you check in they provide a link to your amenities, etc. Well one of the "amenities" was a credit of $6 per person at the café up the street for each day you were there. We decided to use it one morning and were greeted with confused looks from the cashier. We spoke to the manager and he said the discount was not valid and he had no knowledge of any discount for The Ellery customers. I would not recommend this "hotel". The only thing going for it is the short walk to the main street. I will be following up with my credit card company to contest the charges.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. Starting with the accommodating staff. Our newly renovated room was spacious, clean and bright. The grounds were tranquil with many places to relax.

Stayed here in Sep 2022 and last weekend in July 2023. A Tale of Two Cities. I would NOT stay here again. 10 months ago - room was fine, nice guy to help with check in, smooth, answered questions, great breakfast served by really nice people. NOW - NO HUMAN on site, intentionally. Remote door-opening tech did not work. 4 as in FOUR parties milling around the building trying to figure it out. Nobody answered phone for multiple calls. Then on 3rd/4th try, some poor soul who said it was her first week did indeed help (she was very apologetic and sincere) and managed to resend the electronic keys and got it to finally work. I HELPED the other guests...not kidding. The breakfast you ask? well it's is now a whopping $4 coffee coupon at Joe's about 10 blocks away. That's it. The room - fine as before. Provincetown is an awesome place, but holy moly has this place gone downhill for what you pay ($900 for two nights weekdays). I don't know what these owners are thinking, but whatever cost savings they achieved will for sure stop this regular visitor from returning. Such a shame. Totally avoidable.

I had a very disappointing experience with the service at the hotel and my room was not clean- dirt and old lettuce behind sofa bed. Hard to communicate with staff via text. Website for emergencies did not work. No one answered text messages when I needed assistance. I paid a lot for the one night stay and was very disappointed.
3.0 / 10.0
Nice place. Great location. Misleading communication. No details of limitations until after the trip is booked. Limited or no on site staff. Poorly managed and uses technology to make their life easier not to make a stay better for guests.

We Used to stay here all the time when it was the carpe diem bed and breakfast. Thai time was a huge disappointment Ants all over the room. My mother woke up at 3 am with bugs in the sheets. Didn't get any sleep. Only supplied enough coffee and coffee cups for one night. Air conditioner on the Fritz but after googling it we found a video and figured it out . No info in the room at the hotel at all about the hotel. No idea there was a wine and cheese happy hour which we happened to luckily come across but also nothing special in comparison to how nice it used to be. Also no where to put your glass and trash after in the common room. I can over look some things but for $1250 a weekend completely unacceptable. When i called the emergency number and texted pics of bugs this morning the only response was " we have a lot of coffee you should have asked" no real apology and this KAREN offered a discount for next time i come back to this nightmare . I called and got a similar response from this rude woman. I told her she should care about her business and do something NOW but clearly these type of people who run businesses like this don't care if you return. There will just be some other sucker who's willing to pay top dollar for this great location. I'm literally leaving with bugs walking in my bags and the owner thinks it's fine.

The place was beautiful and the location convenient. The only flaw was that on arrival, I couldn't get in the front door using the OpenKey app, and texting the various phone numbers I'd been previously contacted from didn't help-- I had to call the number posted on the door. Probably that should have been obvious, but all previous communication was by text, I figured text was the way to go!
Anyway, lovely stay otherwise. I was bummed the spa wasn't open after 8pm, but okay. Totally cute little place, would stay there again.

One staff member on-site, could not tell us where to find parking. Smoke detector in next guest room went off at 5:45am our last morning. Continued to go off for almost an hour. No staff onsite until after the police arrived. Called and texted hotel and only got voicemail. Never received a return call and text.
Room was very small. Cable box was resting on top of the one garbage can in room. Extension cords and power strip was out in front of the tv armoire. Shutters would not stay closed or open. Hotel site said two breakfast vouchers would be provided for $6 each. Vouchers were for $4 each and were for a coffee shop about 15 minute walk away rather than one of the two coffee shops right down the street.

I searched high and low for a place to spend New Year’s Eve that specifically had a hot tub for a quiet, romantic, relaxing getaway weekend. I hadn’t been to the Carpe Diem in about 10 yrs but remembered it quite fondly, and loved using the spa and the hot tub. We went to find the hot tub not only in sad shape, but also not working at all. 😩
I know there has been a serious staffing problem everywhere and that it has been really hard on Provincetown so we were fine with no room straightening however, the fact that there was no coffee either morning was seriously upsetting. Additionally, I read many reviews about the fabulous breakfast. Apparently that no longer exists but instead a six dollar coupon to a local deli, where one could not even buy a coffee and muffin for that price was just not what we looked forward to or expected having been previous guests.

Overpriced. Outdated. Breakfast below par. No daily room cleaning. Not worth it
