Amazing place to stay - a palazzo in the centre of Padua and close to most local attractions. The suite of rooms I had was clean and very spacious with a modern bathroom. Also, there’s a giant statue in the courtyard. Would stay here again.

This hotel is out of this world. It’s a 16th century castle, renovated with exquisite style. It’s like living in the museum, with its own park, right next to main attraction which is Giotto’s masterpiece. The owners and their staff are beyond amazing and helpful. This hotel is making me to want to come back to Padua.

We were amazed by our room and the property. When we entered through the gate in the entryway, we were transported into an oasis of beauty and elegance, including a 500 year-old statue of Hercules and a private park. The room was huge, with a vaulted ceiling and comfy beds. We loved everything about it.

what a charming palazzo. I love the elegant vintage vibe. The dining room is old fashioned (in the best way) the internal courtyard statue is incredible, the garden is petite but pretty. Easy walking distance from everything. I think I booked the smallest room but it was still quite large. What a wonderful place.

This was an unexpected treasure. Right next door to the Scrovegni Chapel and walking distance to the train station and nearly every thing else. Amazing courtyard and garden, and very helpful staff. We only stayed one night and wished we had stayed longer. Why stay anywhere else when in Padova!

We were in the Verde Suite, which was gigantic but comfortable. The bed in particular was a delight to sleep on. The maids came every day around 1:00 and left us with two large bottles of mineral water after they cleaned up our messes. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.

All staff members are very friendly and accommodating. This place has its own personality. Nice entrance gate, colorful stained glass archway leading to the courtyard, and a small garden behind the building. The room is clean with antique bed side end tables, and a sitting area for relaxation. The Scrovegni Chapel is within a short walking distance. I had a very pleasant stay and will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

This hotel has a really wow factor.
We walked about 15 min from the train station and when Google map said we arrived, we could not see it.
Our fault – we should have read the arrival instructions the hotel sent to us before the arrival.
It is an old villa/palace situated on a quiet street in a quiet town that has much to offer to tourists interested in art, history, and architecture.
Behind the tall entrance doors, there is a large courtyard that has a towering statue of Heracles in the middle.
Our Suite Ercole was humongous, and nicely decorated, with a huge, comfortable bed, a big old-fashioned bathroom, and had efficient AC unit.
Excellent service and breakfast.

The Palazzo is beautiful! The room was very very large and comfortable. The bathroom is modern. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Be aware that the equisite inlaid wood floor is very squeaky.

This is a beautiful, even elegant property with a 16th-century sculpture in the courtyard and a lovely garden in the back. Attentive and informative staff. I’ll come back here again.

The palazzo and the gust rooms were extraordinary and we enjoyed our stay very much. Kanthy, who served us breakfast, and the proprietor Giovanni, who helped us in an emergency, were great. Would definitely stay again when we are in Padua.

The Palazzo Mantua Benavides is perfectly situated in the center of Padova walking distance to all the sites, restaurants and shops. The "giallo" room that we stayed in was enormous for 2 people with a lovely sitting room and modern bathroom. The property itself is beautiful with lovely grounds and access to a small park on the property. The staff was super-nice and most helpful. If you decide to stay awhile there is a full kitchen and fridge if you need. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Wonderful property within the historic old town. A short walk to everything from coffee shops to restaurants to the farmer’s market and quite close to the Scrovegni Chapel, a must see. The suites are well equipped and gigantic. Breakfast was excellent. We would gladly stay again.

If you want to get a glimpse of what it feels like to be Royalty, stay at this incredible Palazzo. Staying here was the highlight of our 3 week holiday. Wonderfully welcoming and helpful staff, delicious freshly made breakfast and spotless cleanliness. An exceptional, unique hotel, hidden away in the city center. Perfectly clean and new feeling whilst surrounded by beautiful antique furnishings. Felt like a Queen staying here. All of the amazing architecture of Padua, wonderful cocktail bars, restaurants and beautiful shops are just outside the Palazzo gates. We will definitely be back.

Magnificent villa converted in a hotel with classy and spacious rooms located in the centre of Padova. Only negative remarks: the air conditioner of our room was not strong enough to make the refrigerate the room, particularly considering the 35C and high humidity. Also the ample bathroom has no shelfs in the shower area to store shampoo and soap.

I love it.

We loved the place although it’s more like an B&B than a hotel. I gave it 4.5 stars only because I booked the most expensive pink room but it turned out the blue room had the doors open up to the courtyard. So book the the less expensive blue room!

This is the type of property you say: Dont hesitate, if you can just stay here! The Palazzo Mantua Benevides is the real deal in every aspect. Classy, comfortable, historic, fantastic location, knowledgeable charming friendly hosts. The breakfast served in the sitting area right outside my door (the pink suite but more reddish not really feminine) was absolutely fabulous. Bathroom huge, floors marble, fantastic old heavy wood doors. The location - this place almost is the Scrovegni Chapel, its right there and you walk around to the entrance. In addition to the great courtyard and statue, and their private garden, they are steps from a charming park with fountains, statues, decorative lights at night, stands selling drinks and snacks, and folks were out there on a beautiful evening. The Palazzo is a 15 minute walk from the train, and from there its a few minutes to the Pedrocchi Cafe and great historic areas, maybe 15 minutes to Saint Anthonys and dont miss Saint Giustinas the two great churches are within sight of each other. Dont hesitate just stay here!

This is a very special place. You feel privileged to be staying here. You are staying in what amounts to a wing of a private Palazzo still run by the original family. Our room was huge. Not the most modern, but had absolutely everything we needed and had an enormous amount of character. Extremely well located within the pedestrian area of Padua, but free parking inside the courtyard of the Palazzo. Extremely helpful family and staff. Very generous with extras like tea, champagne, wine, and cookies. We wanted to extend our trip for an additional day just to enjoy this place but, not surprisingly, it was full. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Padua. This is a special place.
