Everything was just perfect we recommend this lovely boutique hotel to anyone visiting Leiden - Thank you regards Vernon & Catriona

My daughter and I have just returned from a 3 night break here. The hotel is lovely, the property itself is beautiful, the location is perfect next to the canal, an easy walk from the station and in a quiet part of Leiden but within 5 mins of the centre. Our room on the second floor was stunning, very cosy. The best part of the stay was the staff, always polite, attentive and knowledgeable. Their English was great and they went the extra mile keeping us stocked up with English breakfast tea !

Exceptional Staff, wonderful location right on a canal. Very easy to explore the quaint town.

We especially enjoyed the staff. They were all so accommodating it made our stay very special.
The only disappointment was finding that your restaurant no longer served dinner.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent - quiet at night but a short walk to the shopping dining and tourist attractions. We stayed in the two bed apartment which was beautiful and spacious with kitchen and laundry facilities as well as a small private roof terrace. There was an issue with a leaking shower which proved difficult to rectify but the staff made every effort to fix this and fairly compensated us for the inconvenience.
Overall we loved our stay and would stay here again.

Lovely, clean and cozy. In a beautiful area that is walkable to all amenities across Leiden.

is windowless, tho there is a skylight. Very undesirable layout of the room. Bathroom very tight. Somewhat officious staff.

Amazing stay with amazing staff. Really helpful and kind!

This review is only for the ‘loft’ room. The hotel looks to be really charming, but I wouldn’t know because the loft is in an entirely different building, that is a bit short on charm. Room is big, bed linens are great. But furniture is a mix of pieces of mediocre style and condition. Bathroom is clean but not beautiful.

The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and immaculate. Service was outstanding! Highly recommend.

Very characterful property on a beautiful canal. My room was spotless, we had a complimentary drink on arrival and the breakfast was excellent. Would recommend.

This is exactly the kind of place I'm always looking for! Not a hotel chain, but a former home turned into a sweet little retreat. We were only here one night, sorry it wasn't longer!

Nice hotel with a good location although roadworks in the area made access a bit difficult. Excellent breakfast. Our room was next to the street and quite noisy especially in the morning.

I've never left a negative review in my life, but I feel like I should warn potential visitors about this hotel. I travel often on account of being a scientist. Upon arrival, I discovered the hotel was undergoing renovations to replace a rotting floor. Workers were yelling and hammering right below me. I was told this will continue until the evening. There was also a strong unpleasant smell in the air. I was not informed in advance of this, before or after booking. The receptionist was friendly and tried to find workarounds, but they had none for the day of checkin (I booked two nights). I offered they cancel my booking and let me find another place and the owner refused. I ultimately just picked up my suitcase and booked another hotel. I find the fact they did not disclose the renovations in advance and did not agree to cancel my stay not only unprofessional, but also immoral. I hope you think twice before booking a stay in this hotel.

Delft Room was perfect. Local flavour with modern amenities. Helpful and professional staff.

The service was on point, all receptionists were very friendly. Our room was very unique and beautiful. If you'd need something to "complain" about, the noice from the streets and aisle might be a nuisance for light-sleepers.

Fantastic place and service! Beautiful rooms. We arrived late in the evening but the chef still made us a very nice meal.

Great room overlooking the canal. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was delicious. This hotel is sumptuous and full of character.

Lots of charm and character but without being outdated and behind the times. Property is amazing with great facilities. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating.

Our stay was to short but the comfort provided by them was a dream. We had a large very comfortable room overlooking the canal and streets. The bathroom may have been on the small side BUT all that was needed was well placed! We had a delightful time.

Really pleased I booked this hotel. Small, personal and attentive service, great food and location. Bar and restaurant are recent additions and wonderful, room was slightly tired but this did not detract from an overall pleasant 3 night stay. I’d definitely recommend and would return to this hotel.

Interesting boutique hotel close to the centre of Leiden. Comfortable and spacious rooms, and friendly staff. For business, Id suggest it could be a little more flexible. Breakfast only from 7:30 onwards is a little limiting.

The neighborhood of this hotel is absolutely lovely. The facade of the building and the common areas and some part so t the rooms are really really beautiful. The bathrooms are ok. My room was next to two toilets and I could hear the dishwasher running. But it had a beautiful portrait and chandelier and furniture. The people who run the hotel are not very helpful - there is no full time staff person at the hotel I stayed in. I was also asked if I could cancel my booking with Expedia since I wasnt using their transfers or buying breakfast and they were not making enough money. They also gave me a very difficult time when I asked for invoices when they charged half of the room rate (I needed this for being reimbursed at work). When I checked in, I was greeted with - Oh so youre Heather after waiting for someone to let me in. Then I lost my hotel key and when I asked to be let in I was told that I was waking someone up who had to get dressed to come over. She very grumpily let me in. This hotel is pretty and off the beaten path. I was repeatedly treated without hospitality when I booked 15 nights worth of rooms between me and my colleagues that they never would have had in the hotel in the first place. Additionally, I come to Leiden for work periodically and could have become a regular customer but there was no effort made to encourage my repeat business. In fact, the opposite.

Our stay was excellent -we were in #6 upstairs by way of a narrow spiral staircase. We ate breakfast one morninguy and were happy with everything. The hotel is on a quiet street about 20 minutes by foot or 8 euros from the central station and about the same to the main areas of Leiden. Beautiful city and ditto for hotel

Beautiful hotel, great view, nice location and friendly staff.

Very cute little hotel with very steep tiny stairs to the upper rooms. Very friendly staff, great breakfast choices. Not to much if a walk to the local sights.

I was given Room #1. If you book at this hotel, you should know that this room is immediately next to the front entrance by which everyone enters and the rooms door is immediately next to the reception area (there is no desk). So if you get Room #1, you will hear everyones comings and goings and their entire check-in experience. But thats not all. The window you see on the photo of the hotels facade is the window of Room #1. That means everyone who walks by will look directly into your room. Even if you draw the curtains, you will hear every car that drives by, every conversation of passersby; in short, it will feel like everything that happens on that sidewalk is happening right in your room. When I booked at this hotel, there were two rooms left, so this is not a room that comes at a reduced rate or is given to the last person who books. All of this is to say: if you decide to reserve at this hotel, make absolutely sure you dont get Room #1, especially if you are a light sleeper.

Lovely small boutique hotel in the center of town. Very personal service, which is adjusted to the needs of each guest. Room was very nice in old Dutch style, but with the modern facilities.
Breakfast is a mix of a la carte dishes and buffet. Excellent choice.
Did not make use of it, but there is also a sauna and whirlpool facility.
Parking is right around the corner in a private parking garage: safe and easy to reach, can be reserved via the hotel.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
